Hello everyone! This is a post that I have been kind of putting off for a while, for no particular reason. I figured, heck it's about time that I do this post! 

I wanted to chat about a few of my favorite drugstore eye shadows. I wanted to do my favorite drugstore shadows first because I have quite a few more favorites then I do of high end. 

I do think that you're going to see a trend because I am really fond of neutral shadows. I used to be really into colored shadows but I fell into a funk and it's hard to get out of! No worries though! I will have a colorful drugstore shadow list!

Silver Smokey Eye Look with Hard Candy

I'm gonna start this off by saying that I have nothing to disclose at all. Everything was bought by me with my own money.

I've been pretty lax on uploading makeup posts lately and I really have no reason, why. I've been putting them on Instagram really, if I even do that. I've probably got 5 eye looks on my phone that I never uploaded and I've wanted to upload but I never took my Canon out to take pictures of them. Shame on me right? You can slap my hand later.

I've been wanting to do an all drugstore makeup look for a while now and a lot of the time, I do, do that with the exception of my primer. I've yet to find an eye shadow primer that is drugstore that works like the UDPP or TFSI. So, if you know of one, let me know. Thanks!

I bought this particular palette from Hard Candy, literally for one shadow. It was when Marsala was the craze at the beginning of the year and I went crazy buying palettes with a shade that was marsala or close enough to it...I've yet to actually really use the palettes so I went ahead and snagged this one because I knew it was CF and had a lot of shadows in it where I could pick.

So, out of all of the colors that are in it, why did I chose silver and grey? I did it to kind of match the SquareHue polishes from November 2015's box. Which is why this is going up after that post. See what I did there? :D Baaha. Okay, I'm sure you all are tired of looking at me typing, so I shall just get the pictures going and let you know everything that was used!

This is literally your basic of basic "smoky eye" that you can do really with a silver and a dark grey. This is kind of what the look was when I was in color guard, well not look it was the required makeup that we had to wear back when I knew NOTHING about makeup and now I regret not knowing because I could have rocked it.

For my face I used the Rimmel Stay Matte Foundation in 201 Classic Beige
I also used the NYX Eyebrow Gel in Blonde for my brows.

That is it! I didn't so insane with the makeup or foundation like usual. Which, was nice..I do wish I would have set the foundation though because holy. bloody. heck. This settles into EVERY BLOODY LINE and just everything and it liked to stick and separate. It's just....a mess on my skin really so I am not a huge fan of this foundation. It's too thick in my opinion anyways. But it does serve it's purposes for pictures though I guess. :)

I hope that you all liked this look! I actually had a lot of fun creating it and remembering how I had no idea what my Color Guard Instructor was talking about when she said smoky eye and winged liner! Oh how far I have come!

NYX Cosmetics Prismatic Eye Shadows - Fireball & Liquid Gold

Why, howdy doody there! ....don't even ask. I have no idea.

Let's listen to Gwen Stefani's Rich Girl and get this party started!

A few weeks ago I was at Ulta and I spotted these new shadows by NYX and I had talked myself out of wanting them because I "just didn't need anymore shadows in my life". Which, we all know is a downright lie. Am I right?  I literally had not heard a single thing about these new shadows or anything so I just went home, sad and regretting that I didn't pick them up when I had the chance. 

Cue a few weeks later, I stop by the Ulta in Citrus Park and I decided to snag the two I'm going to show you in this post! I wanted a couple other ones but unfortunately they were all sold out. Bummer, but I'm fine with these two for now! 

NYX doesn't really give a description for the Prismatic Shadows besides calling them Metallic, which I fully support. They are metallic. 

Fireball

This shadow is an orange based red. I get where the Fireball name came from because it definitely does remind me of a fire!

Liquid Gold

Liquid Gold is one of those shadows that you just can't pass up, especially if you have blue eyes. Golds look amazing when paired with blue eyes and this is no exception! This is a yellow gold shade that definitely looks like you've got liquid gold on your eyes!

All in all, I am impressed with the quality, pigmentation and the lasting ability of these shadows. I definitely want to get more...actually I want the entire collection. NYX, hit me up! (kidding....kind of) :P

BFTE Cosmetics I Believe..... Collections

Kimberly was kind enough to send me a few samples from BOTH of her Christmas collections! I was so excited to try them out because I've been nothing but impressed with the BFTE shadows that I've purchased. I'm going to show you swatches of the shadows that she sent me and I can't wait!!

Kimberly is doing something really neat for those who are trying to watch their holiday spending (or are just plain on a budget) You can purchase the full size collections or she has them in sample sizes as well! I absolutely LOVE that she is doing that! I will link both full size and sample at the end of the post!

Up first from the I Believe.....In Santa collection ;;

I Believe 

This shadow is described as "A shimmery gold shadow with flashes of white; like a hot, white gold" 

I do agree with the description! This shadow is very light and while I couldn't build it up to the opacity of the swatch on the website (then again I didn't try) I wanted to savor it in all it's beauty how you see it. This shadow is very light, but it can be built up as well as you could use it for highlighting your inner corner or if you're feeling brave...under your brow!

Jolly Old Elf

This shadow is described as A sleigh-load of silver and multi-color micro sparkles within a dark silver base.

This shadow made me think of a charcoal silver. I will warn you, when she says there is a "sleigh-load" of micro sparkles she means it! This is one of those shadows that you would be better using something under your eyes when you apply it because the glitter will go EVERYWHERE. It's probably best not to wear what you're planning to go out in because you will be covered in shimmer! Not that there is anything wrong with it! This shadow is seriously so gorgeous!

From the I Believe.....In Reindeer collection;;

8 Tiny Reindeer 

This shadow is described as a matte brown

 I can tell you that, that description is 100% true. I have a soft spot in my heart for matte browns and this one just takes the whole cake! This makes me think of milk chocolate or well a reindeer's coat of fur. It's just a stunning shadow! I can see me getting quite a lot of use out of this!

Diamond 

There really isn't a description of diamond but I will tell you that it is a STUNNING shimmery white shadow. It's a definitely must have!

All of the shadows with the exception of 8 Tiny Reindeer are chock full of sparkles so I would definitely keep an eye out for the sparkle fall out! Other than that each of the shadows apply smoothly and like butta. I had no problems swatching or blending the shadows on out my arms. Unfortunately I haven't put together a look for you quite yet but when I do I shall post it!

Neutral Eye Look with Silver Winged Liner

This is one way to add a little something extra to your normal regular work makeup, without making it inappropriate for work. You always need that little pop of something to make something so mundane, fun.

I used quite a bit of products on my eyes, but honestly I really loved the look! I absolutely love wearing Rocket by Whip Hand Cosmetics! It's such a unique color!

You KNOW I had to add pictures of Anya too this post, just because it was kind of funny. I didn't realize she was in the back..and then she started judging me. Judging cat is very judging...I love her though, she is to cute!

Whip Hand Cosmetics Pigment - Rocket

Whip Hand Cosmetics is a makeup company based in Detroit. I don't want to call them Indie, because they're not exactly an Indie company BUT they're not mainstream like Urban Decay either. They're up there in ranks with Sugarpill Cosmetics. Hopefully one day We'll see WHC in Sephora or Ulta.

When I was asked if I'd like to review one of their eye shadows, I'm sorry but I had to jump at the chance. Last year I purchased a creme eye shadow and a lip creme and fell in love with them! They're really amazing and their creme shadows, even with oily lids you don't need a primer. Anyways anyways, I'm getting off topic. See what happens when I get so busy with work and blogging takes a backseat. I ramble. :P

The Pure Pigment Loose Eyeshadow I decided to try out was Rocket. This is an eyeshadow that I've been wanting to try since I was introduced to them via Beauty Army. 

Rocket is a taupe/brown that has a blue duo-chrome shift to it.

You may look at the packaging and go "ugh that looks like a pain in the bleep to use!", it's actually not. The opening it quite a lot bigger than it looks, which is nice. I don't use giant eye shadow brushes, so this is perfect for me. You can decant them into a different jar if you so with though!

Whip Hand Cosmetics (or they spell is Cosmetiques now), houses their pigments in glass vials. The glass itself it pretty thick considering so I don't think there is any kind of worry in it breaking, unless it fall onto a hard surface. 

I'm sure you're all dying to see a swatch right?! Let me state this now I did not use a primer under this shadow, the only reason you would need a primer is to make it last all night or if you have oily lids. I show you a picture of it on my finger because I want you to see how much there was when I swatched it. As you can tell, there isn't much, I just tipped the jar and tapped off the excess.

It was raining outside so I had to use my daylight bulbs inside. You can see the blue shift slightly as well as you can see just how pigmented this is on it's own with no primer. I wore Rocket for a good 16+ hours without it creasing or fading. I wish I could fully explain to you how in love with this eyeshadow I am! It's gorgeous and unfortunately I did have an accident with it and lost half of it in the grass when I was trying to photograph it. *cries silently* I do wish I would have been able to capture the blue shift better. Darn you mother nature! :P

I definitely plan on getting more of their pigments and well, their creme shadows as well because they're all really gorgeous! I HIGHLY recommend Whip Hand Cosmetics to anyone and everyone who is wanting good products. Not only that but you're supporting a "smaller" brand and keeping them in business!

I hope everyone had a fantastic Weekened! Me, I am thankful it's over. The only thing I am not thankful for is the fact that I am getting sick again courtesy of my Niece. The makeup post I decided to share is my go-to eye look. This is what I go too the giant majority of the time when I do my makeup. Daring right? Not all products are exactly the same as I am testing out a new liquid liner, which I might just say right here I am IN LOVE with (review coming later). Lets get started shall we?

That's really it. As normal I never really put anything on my face. I never really see the need too. The only time I really put anything on my face is for an event or when I go to a Central Florida Beauty Bloggers meetup. I really haven't been living a very exciting makeup life lately. :P My next makeup post will definitely be all drugstore! I'm pretty excited about that post.

I used two different cameras in this post, I'm sure you will be able to tell the difference of the two. I love the clarity of one, but it doesn't do very good close up shots. I hate that the other one looks meh but it does awesome close up shots. It's a win/lose lol. The one thing I don't like is my eye liner always looks skippy and meh no matter if I'm using gel or liquid. It's starting to get annoying, it looks fine till I put mascara on. Pft.

I blended Lumi up into the crease as well as into the red. I think that Lumi mixed with the brown makes a gorgeous color. Seriously. Much love for the way the inner crease looks. 

 I think that the next time I do this, I'm going to use the shadows wet to make them pop a little bit more and maybe I'll add some false lashes. :D I'd also use a liquid liner maybe because this cream liner, as you can tell was a bit off kilter and funky looking and not in a good way. That's like though. You'd only notice it if you get all up in my grill though, so I wasn't too worried about it. I also would probably use a mascara that didn't flake. I'm kinda miffed because it didn't flake before on me. I think it's getting old. Time to bust out a new one.

I did this the other day, out of sheer boredom honestly. There was no particular reason that I did this, to reason for the choice of colors. I just grabbed a palette and grabbed a crease color and called it a day LOL.

So, I'm just going to throw it out right here. Yes, my eye brows look like crap. I understand I need to get them done and I PLAN on getting them done. I've seen some people on twitter biatching/complaining about people who post pictures without doing their brows. I've done my  brows 3 times in my life. I always plus them to keep them looking decent, but never really bother with the front because they do their own thang. So honestly, if you have something nasty to say about my brows, it's my face not yours. Snip snap paddy whack go eat a bone. =^_^=

Urban Decay Moonspoon & Diamond Dog

I can't believe that it has taken me so long to do a proper makeup review! Bah, I'm definitely on the nail polish wagon! I've got some makeup posts lined up though! 

Urban Decay discontinued their Stardust shadows and the Moon Dust shadows are basically their replacements! There are even some of the same shadows ie Moonspoon and Diamond Dog, which are the two we are talking about today!

Diamond Dog is a deep brown with white and gold sparkles. This is such a lovely neutral and extremely glittery shadow.

Today's look was a relatively quick one! All I was doing today was bathing the dogs, cleaning the bathroom, and doing a few other bits and bobs outside.

As you can tell this was a pretty neutral eye look, I didn't want anything too crazy or bright.

Today is one of those days in Florida where it's kind of dank and rainy out, I'm not going to lie, it's kind of one of my favorite kinds of days. I'm not much of a heat/sunshine kind of girl. *shields self* I think I turned into that kind girl when I found out all of my allergies, so I kind of just stay inside to not deal with the allergy issues, which doesn't help lol. I need to get a crap load of allergy medicine. Hah!

Today's FOTD wasn't really inspired by anything Chris and my Brother want to go bowling today and I didn't want to wear anything too crazy because it's going to get hot in the bowling alley. Don't want to sweat away some boss eye makeup LOL. Really though, I opted for a neutral eye today.

This is definitely NOT the shirt that I plan on wearing, I kind of forgot to change it before I decided to oomph my hair up and do my makeup lol. Figures I would be the "genius" to do that :P

Blue Eye Shadow "Tutorial"

Hi everyone!

*waves like a crazy person*

So, just as a kind of disclaimer, this really is NOT a tutorial. My skin absolutely HATES me for what I did to it for the sake of this post.

The basis of this post is basically, I see some crazy ways that people wear makeup, especially around where I live. I'm not even going to tell you some of the stuff I have seen. I figured, it would be kind of "fun" to maybe recreate some of the looks that I have seen around. I'm not making fun of anyone. I've not taken pictures of people either. The only face you will see is mine, and maybe Chris' if I can convince him to let me make him look 'sexy'. :P

So without further adieu lets look at how "sexy" I made myself look!

For this version, I changed only one thing. I changed what I used for the pink and that is it! I definitely like how this one came out a lot more than the previous one.

April 2013 Ipsy Bag

Hello everyone!

It's the time of the month again, Ipsy!

This months theme was "Pretty In Pink". Now, I for one have never been insanely crazy for pink, but I do wear pink nail polish etc. For me, this bag was not anything to crazy, the thing that I was most excited for was the nail polish. I've never had anything from the brand before and was pretty damn excited. For this bad there were two either or products and the nail polish there were two colors being sent out.
