Birthday Makeup & Nails! :D

Purchased Myself/PR Sample/Gifts
Hey everyone!
I hope you all are doing well! Happy Birthday to me! :D :D

Today has started out wonderfully! :D Last night (12/18) Chris surprised me with a Canon Rebel EOS T3i so my pictures are going to greatly improve when I can figure out HOW to use it and what lens I need to take good nail and eye shots. So woohoo! There are going to be some new pictures in this post. They aren't well, I should have taken them outside but I took them quickly. Enough excuses!

Nails;;

Cult Nails Miss Conduct* (all nails)
China Glaze Water You Waiting For (all nails but accent)
China Glaze Glitter Goblin (accent nail)
Nail Veil * (there were 3 stones in it but I had to take it off last night and I took 2 of the stones out. I totally couldn't get this one out though. LOL it's all good though. I still like it!)
Glisten & Glow HK Girl Top Coat**
I bought a pair of imPRESS nails at CVS that were on clearance and painted over them (I tend to do that honestly) that's why my nails actually look uniform.

EYES
Urban Decay Primer Potion
Urban Decay;
Busted (crease)
Verve (Inner half of lid/Inner corner)
Half Baked (center of lid)
Rimmel MAX VolumeFlash Mascara

FACE:
TEMPTU AirPod Foundation - Sand
ELF Golden Bronzer
MUA Blusher - Shade 3
Senna Cosmetics Brow Fix X - Golden Brown X
I used the Revlon LipStain+Balm in Fiery, but this balm is a total fail for me. It's shows that it is going to be a lovely red, but it's in fact ORANGE. My lips are too pigmented for it apparently because it didn't show up AT ALL, nor did it give my lips any kind of tint. I just have on a lip balm.

So that is my makeup look and my nails for my Birthday! :D I know it's nothing exciting, but I'm happy with it! I have some pictures from when Chris and I went out to dinner. Yes, I took my camera. I've been wanting to get pictures of the food at this place for years and just never take my camera with me. Anypiddle. If you want to see that plus a review of the restaurant (if you're in the Area) let me know :)

Best wishes! xoxo

Top 5 Drugstore Favorites

Nothing to disclose
Heyo!

I hope that you are all doing well! xx

I know it's been a while since I have done a favorites post. Nancy-Lee (fashionCHICsta) invited me to join her 5 drugstore favorites blog hop. I've never done one before so I typically avoided them, but hey there is a first time for everything! I am partnering with

So make sure you check out their posts, too!

I tried to pick a variety or products that I know are my favorites. Let's just shimmy around and see what they are! Oh! They're in no particular order either.

Walmart Haul

So I am not going to lie. I guess I have no logical excuse for why I have not blogged. There's been A LOT going on in my personal life. The stress and everything else that has been going on has been insane. I've got blogs writen up but honestly I've just not been feeling up to blogging. It's been horrid I feel like I am letting y'all down. With that being said. I've got a haul for you!

I went to Walmart in the hopes of picking up some FLOWER cosmetics, but honestly I had a mascara in my hand and just wound up putting it back after carrying it around for 15 minutes. I've got one of the nail polishes, but we aren't going to talk about it right now..'nough said about that.

I did however pick up a few nail polishes! You know I had to jump on the new Hard Candy polishes! Holla! I've been holding out since they came out because I know myself. I'll eventually end up with them all because they are GORGEOUS. I am LOVING their new bottles designs, I honestly wasn't a fan of the old ones, which is why I didn't have many.

Review : e.l.f Stipple Brush

Long time no review! This is actually the first review I am typing on Wordpress, that wasn't transferred over. :D

I am also typing in between coats of nail polish. =^_^= Multi-tasking haha.. I'll have to take a picture later and show, because they are pretty random and just... you would have to see to understand. Lol. Anyways, to what you all are here to read about!

Now, this was my first ever stipple brush. I couldn't really afford a good quality one, and since I never have had any trouble with the e.l.f. ones, I figured I would give it a go!  You know I was insanely excited when I saw that e.l.f was making them and I actually got mine out of the second batch that they made and had for sale on their website.

This is $3 on the www.eyeslipsface.com website. You can also find it for the same price at Target and Kmart. And if you are lucky you can also find this at Big Lots.

So from the 3 whopping pictures that I managed to get, because my camera's have gone wonky and I tried to get the best ones that I could get. You can tell that it is a pretty decent sized brush. Mine is a bit dirty on the handle, but from use, it should be dirty.

Now, from the front shot of the bristles, you can tell that it is not nearly as dense as I would like it to be. I have tried using this with my liquid foundation, but not matter how I try to work with it, it just does not work. I still look streaky in some areas and cakey in others. So for foundation, I say No Bueno. I wish you could see, but quite a lot of the bristles on the outside have actually broken in half and have been shedding. So that's not good either. Although I have not experienced a lot of shedding, there still is some.

What I do find myself using this brush for, is either applying a powder to my face after applying my liquid foundation, or I use it like a fan brush and just sweep the extra powder off of my face.

For this brush I would give it a 6 out of 10. Why a 6? Well, I think its a good brush, but not for liquid foundation. Maybe if it were a little more dense, then it would work pretty fantastically. But for applying a light application of a finishing powder, blush, or bronzer, this would work pretty swell.

I would have given it a higher rating, but I think I gave it a pretty generous rating. Would I purchase this again? Maybe, but doubtful. Although I love elf and most of my brushes.. well almost all of them are elf, I think that you could find a better quality stipple brush than this one.

I hope you enjoyed me review! Have you used this product before? Let me know down in the comments what your opinion is!
