Peacock! Eye look!

Hello my dears!

This post has been sitting un-written for well over a month! Can you believe it?! such a shame right?! I wore this look to work, and you will not believe the amount of funky looks I got that day. I mean, really now?! Do people not believe in colored eyeshadow?! It must be such a strange thing. *eye roll*

ANYWAYS, I shall keep trucking on, wearing my bright and colorful eye shadows! Now, I am a wee-bit fuzzy on a couple of products that I used... okay I'm fuzzy on one product. I had everything written down.. or typed actually on wordpad and my computer crashed before I could put it into the post. Failzor! :O

Someone told me that this reminded them of a Peacock! What does it remind you of?!

A couple eye looks!

Hello and welcome to today's unconventional post!

Every time I do my makeup, I try to get a few pictures of it, so I can use it for a blog post, most times I fail greatly at getting pictures that can be used. However, I did manage to get a couple of decent pictures to show you all the makeup that I've worn! I try to make it a goal to wear makeup to work but sometimes, I'm either way too tired or I just don't feel like taking the time to apply it.

I used the two darkest shadows as well as 2AM in the crease. I also used the lavender shadow (3rd shadow on the left) all over the lid

I feel like I have angry-brows. I really need to get them shaped because they're bothering the heck out of me. That shall be my goal for the next week or something. To get my caterpillars done! Woo! I'm going to try harder to get decent pictures of my makeup though! Instead of sitting and trying to use flash or just the one light. :P I'm such a lazy bones. But alas I hope yo all are doing well! 

Oh! I ended up having to return the Stila and Essence mascaras unfortunately. They both burn my eyes really bad, so instead of trying to suffer and itch my eyes, I just took them back. Plus, I wasn't greatly impressed by either mascara, especially that Stila one, it was full o fail.

I hope your week is going swimmingly! I welcome you all back to another installment of The Beauty Buffs!! I hope you all are LOVING these as much as I am loving doing them for you all! The prompts each post have really kept challenging me and it's re-awakening my love of blogging! I've got a lot of lovely stuff planned in the upcoming weeks! But all of that aside, let's get crack-a-lackin'!

I created this look, oh goodness a month ago?! It was the first time I used the Wet n Wild Flirting At The After Party palette that I had gotten from my Hobby Polish Bloggers Swap buddy. To be honest, I wasn't sure WHEN I was going to upload this, but I figured this would be the perfect time to use it!

That's it. I didn't wear mascara or foundation. I've found that I haven't been wearing mascara as of late... Call me lazy :P I can't even remember which shadows I used out of the palette, I thought I wrote them down, but I can't find the paper! boo on me. 

I LOVE this eye look and I definitely need to try and recreate it! :D

The Beauty Buffs - Royal Blue

Bought Myself/Gift/Nothing To Disclose

Hello everyone! Welcome back to another episode of The Beauty Buffs!! .. Okay, why I called it an episode I have no idea, I thought it was funny. *bah dum tss*

This weeks theme is Royal Blue and I figured that since the last TBB post I did nail polish, I thought I would do makeup this week! SO, I had gone out in search of a nice royal blue eye shadow and found the Maybelline Expert Wear quad in Electric Blue. I guess, it is new? I don't know, I've never seen them before and it was $2 off I think so I decided I would get it. I'm going too tell you now, don't waste your time, It's not that great. The pigmentation is lacking. WELL, low and behold AFTER I bought it, I remembered I had Sugarpill's Heartbreaker palette in it, which has Velocity. A gorgeous matte royal blue. BAM, have my eyeshadow. *dances*

I decided too use the blue in the Maybelline quad as well as Velocity, and I used a mixture of colors from the Crown Cosmetics Smokey Eye Palette. 

The three shadows with the arrows pointing too the are the ones I used. I didn't use them in any particular order, except tap my brush into each a couple of times.  I added that into the crease and blended out. BUT wait! There's more. I also used Sugarpill Velocity in the crease. I used it as the original outline of the crease then I blended a bit on the top of the crease to give it a little something extra,. 

On the lid I applied lightly the Royal Blue from the Maybelline Electric Blues palette. I should have added some of Velocity on top, but what is done is done.

On the lower lashline I mixed the royal blue and the black shadow and smudged it across.

You are probably asking yourself WHY so many pictures and WHY pictures of both eyes. WELL my dears, I did both eyes different. On my left eye I didn't wing the liner and I didn't bring the shadow up as high as I did on the other eye. You can't tell particularly but the liner on my right eye *below* is winged out and I brought the shadows higher up towards the brow bone.

I really love how this came out! I've been itching too show everyone the look since I completed it a couple of nights ago! 

Here's the finished look with the whole face! ... I don't know why I said it that way but I did. A lot of people say don't wear blue on blue, brown on brown or green on green. I say, do what you want, it is your makeup and it's YOUR face. Makeup is an expression of art, don't let others dull your shine!

The purpose of this is too give you some more blue options. I understand the 3/4 makeup choice are high end, but you try too find GOOD affordable royal blue shadows. :P I got lucky I found the Maybelline one, and the palette itself isn't that great,

St.Patricks Day Eye Makeup

Hey everyone! I hope you're all doing well! There was going to be MULTIPLE looks, using Drugstore and High end eye shadows but my eyes are really irritated and while I DID have multiple looks done, none of the pictures came out decent. BOO! I hate when that happens. ANYWAYS, enough complaining!

Eugenia of Geniabeme.com put together this awesome link up with the Beauty Bloggers of Central Florida! It was pretty awesome for her to put this together! I know a lot of the girls are doing nails, but we all know how bad of shape mine are in, plus my hands are in worse shape. So I'd rather not show them till I can get them looking decent again. So I went with Makeup!

I'm really sorry about my eye being so red -_- I'm lucky I managed to finish doing my makeup and got the pictures. =^_^=

Unfortunately, as you can tell Rebel transferred a little bit, which is okay with me. You, nor I wouldn't have noticed it if my eye wasn't closed.  I didn't wear any mascara or eye liner in my waterline.

I'm actually pretty impressed with how it turned out. This isn't what I had originally planned but I wanted to throw some drugstore shadows in there!

This was the orignaly look that I did, with a winged liner but I forgot to take a full face shot with both eyes. The only thing different about this look is I used Urban Decay Bender on the Lid instead of HiP Rebel. I also used UD Loose Eyeshadow Pigment in Grafitti on the lower lash line. I REALLY LIKED this one, but already had it taken off before I realized I didn't take a full face shot. Blogger fail. Boo.

Anyways! What do you think!? Will you be rocking green eyeshadow on St.Patricks day?!

Valentines EOTD

I hope you all are doing well! I'm slowly trying to stockpile makeup blog posts that way it's not a constant flow of nail polish. I mean, there's nothing wrong with going to back the basic roots of my blog! Anyways.
Chris and I didn't do anything for V-Day, neither of us wanted too either. We're not big V-Day people plus I had to work. We're going to go to Dinner on Wednesday though but that's about it. This was my third attempt at doing a makeup look that day. No lie, I couldn't get the shadows I wanted to use to blend, then it just looked sloppy! In the end, I just pulled from my Z-Palette of UD shadows, which is basically a go-to for me. Yes, I'm in a shadow rut

I liked this look a lot. I'm trying to slowly re-introduce colors back into my makeup routine. Also, the Milani liquid liner and I are NOT friends, I'm going to do a review soon, but I dislike it because it skips and doesn't apply evenly. As I'm sure you can see/tell.

I didn't even wear foundation. I really don't see much of a need for it these days. If I'm going somewhere then yes, I'll wear foundation. For work or really everyday life, no thanks, I don't need extra stuff trying to break me out. Plus other than pimple or two, it is just acne scars and redness. Aint no thang but a chicken wing! 

This look was really simple and really all you need is a gold, purple and black shadow and you can recreate it. You don't even need a liquid liner really. :P

Milani Eyeshadow Primer -Review

I'm wanting to get kind of back on "track" and get back to my "roots" which is makeup. I know I've not blogged much about makeup recently. I don't have a very good excuse other than Nail Polish is easier for me too photograph yadda than makeup is, but maybe with my new camera I'll be inspired to do more makeup! I do know I have a few lined up! :D

I don't know why it's taken me so long to review this product. I actually swore I already did, but after a quick search of my blog, I apparently have NOT. So we shall do it today!

The Milani Eyeshadow Primer only comes in one shade (as of now) which is 01 Nude. It's just a basic light skin tone color that goes transparent when it's blended or "rubbed" in.

In my opinion this is VERY comparable too Urban Decay Primer Potion, but in ways the Milani primer is way better. UDPP creased on me occasionally where the Milani one doesn't at all. (mind you I have oily lids) Not only that but this is waaaaayyyy cheaper. 

Excuse how dirty this is, I didn't think too clean it.

Milani Eyeshadow Primer retails for under $7 (depending on your location) I prefer this one over all of the other primers that I've tried and it's the one I reach for the most. I'll even use it on my nose to help my foundation stick better. (don't judge)

Eye Of The Day 1/27/14

Since I've started working, I've made it a point to at least wear eye shadow too work. I mean, why not! It's a perfect excuse too do my makeup and not waste the day away sitting in the house or in front of the computer!

I created a simple looking using 4 shadows. I was KIND of in a rush, but not a big one so I just grabbed my trusty Z-Palette and used my Urban Decay shadows. Big surprised right?!

Now I know the colors don't look "true" too how they are in the palettes, but it's all how I blended them. I didn't want a straight up blue and gold. I like this a whole heck of a lot better then it normally would have looked if I didn't mix the black and blue. Still pretty right? I also didn't feel like dealing with liquid liner.

I typically don't bother with foundation when going to work either. I don't feel the need for it most of the time so I don't wear it. :)

And just because I really bloody love this picture I'm going to throw it in there! These are the nails that were the basis of THIS post!

I'm still trying to get used too my camera, plus I had the light WAY too close to my face. Lol. Amateur mistake. 

I don't know about anyone else, but wearing silver on my eyes for New Years Eve is a staple and traditional thing for me to do. I wear silver and black EVERY year, this year I decided to change it up though.

There's a reason I decided to show this picture even though it's mostly blurry. I love that is macro'd on my lashes. Uhm yes, love that!

I don't normally do cat eyes, but I'm really impressed with this one. I know they're a bit lopsided and what not, but I think it came out looking really nice!
