Thanksgiving Day Makeup

Hello hello!

I hope that you all had a fantastic Thanksgiving if you are in the US! Mine was ....well lets just say it went from uneventful and stressful to a party! I was up way too early and did my makeup at 10am, when I knew I had nothing to do until 4pm. I am so grateful that my face lasted long enough without looking like a dang mess!

I'm slowly trying to get back into the groove of things really. I do have a list of posts to get out, especially I have a few set up for January so yay! I'm pretty excited for 2016!

I thought that this was a nice look for Thanksgiving it wasn't too out there and it combined my love of neutrals with my love of color. You can't go wrong there! Also, I must mention, the lip gloss that I wore in the post, I ACTUALLY wore out. So yeah, we are slowly getting somewhere with me wearing lip colors! *high five* Heck, I might even wear a red out for my birthday ! :O

Colorful Smoky Eye Of The Day

Today has been the first time that I've put on makeup in ages. Usually when I go an eye look I post them on Instagram  It shows that the last time I put makeup on was a week ago, and that's because I was working on a look for a blog post coming later this week...well, I've had the flu and a horrible time with it as well. I've finally felt good enough to slather some makeup on my eyes.

Part of me wanted POW In your face bright makeup, but I decided to just go with the flow and I'm actually pretty happy with how it turned out! You're going to have to forgive me for the fact that the lighting is off in the pictures. I have to get used to using my camera again and the lighting has been a bit of a struggle for me..ontop of the fact that in the preview the pictures look spectacular and in focus and upon importing their complete crap. Woe is me. Anyways to the makeup which you're all here to see!

Hola! I hope you all are having an awesome morning! Or day...depending where you are of course! It's 5 o'clock somewhere, right? :P

This is one way to add a little something extra to your normal regular work makeup, without making it inappropriate for work. You always need that little pop of something to make something so mundane, fun.

I used quite a bit of products on my eyes, but honestly I really loved the look! I absolutely love wearing Rocket by Whip Hand Cosmetics! It's such a unique color!

You KNOW I had to add pictures of Anya too this post, just because it was kind of funny. I didn't realize she was in the back..and then she started judging me. Judging cat is very judging...I love her though, she is to cute!

Hello my dears!

This post has been sitting un-written for well over a month! Can you believe it?! such a shame right?! I wore this look to work, and you will not believe the amount of funky looks I got that day. I mean, really now?! Do people not believe in colored eyeshadow?! It must be such a strange thing. *eye roll*

ANYWAYS, I shall keep trucking on, wearing my bright and colorful eye shadows! Now, I am a wee-bit fuzzy on a couple of products that I used... okay I'm fuzzy on one product. I had everything written down.. or typed actually on wordpad and my computer crashed before I could put it into the post. Failzor! :O

Someone told me that this reminded them of a Peacock! What does it remind you of?!

Hello and welcome to today's unconventional post!

Every time I do my makeup, I try to get a few pictures of it, so I can use it for a blog post, most times I fail greatly at getting pictures that can be used. However, I did manage to get a couple of decent pictures to show you all the makeup that I've worn! I try to make it a goal to wear makeup to work but sometimes, I'm either way too tired or I just don't feel like taking the time to apply it.

I feel like I have angry-brows. I really need to get them shaped because they're bothering the heck out of me. That shall be my goal for the next week or something. To get my caterpillars done! Woo! I'm going to try harder to get decent pictures of my makeup though! Instead of sitting and trying to use flash or just the one light. :P I'm such a lazy bones. But alas I hope yo all are doing well! 

Oh! I ended up having to return the Stila and Essence mascaras unfortunately. They both burn my eyes really bad, so instead of trying to suffer and itch my eyes, I just took them back. Plus, I wasn't greatly impressed by either mascara, especially that Stila one, it was full o fail.

Hello everyone!

I am so sorry that I've practically disappeared! D: I went from working 8 hours a week to between 26-36 hours a week! It's been pretty hectic and I never intended to let my blog pretty much lay dormant for almost two weeks! I do have some guest posts coming! I'm just waiting on the emails and I do have a couple of posts scheduled myself! I can't even describe how good it feels to be typing a post again! Anyways, anways back too the post at hand!

I have to work tonight and decided to do a full face of makeup! :O I typically only wear eyeshadow and maybe liner. bahha. I had this whole grand look planned out and everything, it's all I thought about this morning... then I realized the gorgeous pink Sugarpill eye shadow I THOUGHT I had, wasn't real. I do have a pink shadow but I thought I had Dollipop.. I don't know why I thought I had it, but I did. Alas. I made due though! I still love how my eyes turned out so woohoo!

This was pre-doing my hair and no glasses. I really love the pink and purple together!

As per usual there is nothing on my lips, it's going to be lip balm for me, like normal, especially at work it's one less thing to worry about! I'm also sure that you noticed my liner wasn't totally straight etc and both eyes are different. Yes girls and boys, if you have tried winged liner you know it's a complete B to do! I've been using liquid liner to do them as of late but have been trying this gel liner out. All I can say is ay dios mio! I still love how it turned out though!

The Beauty Buffs - Royal Blue

Hello everyone! Welcome back to another episode of The Beauty Buffs!! .. Okay, why I called it an episode I have no idea, I thought it was funny. *bah dum tss*

This weeks theme is Royal Blue and I figured that since the last TBB post I did nail polish, I thought I would do makeup this week! SO, I had gone out in search of a nice royal blue eye shadow and found the Maybelline Expert Wear quad in Electric Blue. I guess, it is new? I don't know, I've never seen them before and it was $2 off I think so I decided I would get it. I'm going too tell you now, don't waste your time, It's not that great. The pigmentation is lacking. WELL, low and behold AFTER I bought it, I remembered I had Sugarpill's Heartbreaker palette in it, which has Velocity. A gorgeous matte royal blue. BAM, have my eyeshadow. *dances*

I decided too use the blue in the Maybelline quad as well as Velocity, and I used a mixture of colors from the Crown Cosmetics Smokey Eye Palette. 

The three shadows with the arrows pointing too the are the ones I used. I didn't use them in any particular order, except tap my brush into each a couple of times.  I added that into the crease and blended out. BUT wait! There's more. I also used Sugarpill Velocity in the crease. I used it as the original outline of the crease then I blended a bit on the top of the crease to give it a little something extra,. 

On the lid I applied lightly the Royal Blue from the Maybelline Electric Blues palette. I should have added some of Velocity on top, but what is done is done.

On the lower lashline I mixed the royal blue and the black shadow and smudged it across.

You are probably asking yourself WHY so many pictures and WHY pictures of both eyes. WELL my dears, I did both eyes different. On my left eye I didn't wing the liner and I didn't bring the shadow up as high as I did on the other eye. You can't tell particularly but the liner on my right eye *below* is winged out and I brought the shadows higher up towards the brow bone.

I really love how this came out! I've been itching too show everyone the look since I completed it a couple of nights ago! 

Here's the finished look with the whole face! ... I don't know why I said it that way but I did. A lot of people say don't wear blue on blue, brown on brown or green on green. I say, do what you want, it is your makeup and it's YOUR face. Makeup is an expression of art, don't let others dull your shine!

The purpose of this is too give you some more blue options. I understand the 3/4 makeup choice are high end, but you try too find GOOD affordable royal blue shadows. :P I got lucky I found the Maybelline one, and the palette itself isn't that great,

Here's the rest of the post! I was going to put this and the nails together, but I decided to split them up. 

I'm still trying to get used too my camera, plus I had the light WAY too close to my face. Lol. Amateur mistake. 

I don't know about anyone else, but wearing silver on my eyes for New Years Eve is a staple and traditional thing for me to do. I wear silver and black EVERY year, this year I decided to change it up though.

I didn't do a lip color. I typically don't, I didn't really feel the need for one since we're not doing anything.

There's a reason I decided to show this picture even though it's mostly blurry. I love that is macro'd on my lashes. Uhm yes, love that!

I don't normally do cat eyes, but I'm really impressed with this one. I know they're a bit lopsided and what not, but I think it came out looking really nice!

There really was no inspiration to this eye look. I was going to go to my High School's Alumni Band football game and started getting ready, full face and everything...then I decided not to go. It's a long story that I would rather not get into, but I LOVED my makeup, but sat at home. Figures right! :P

Incidentally, I forgot to put something on my lips. I did put what was left of the concealer on my brush on my lips, so blank them out a bit for a lip color, then forgot it..oops.

That's it! :D I do feel like I need to add a ton more drugstore products to my repertoire. I just use the products that I have currently.

Hey everyone!

I hope you are doing well! I caught another cold, so I'm just like eeeeeh :P. A runny nose is NOT attractive.

There really was no rhyme or reason to this eye look, I like doing red/black eyeshadow looks a lot actually, more than I let on. They're funky and fun. I used a butt load of products (more than normal I guess) to achieve the entire face look. (lol)

Now don't go saying "Autumn, it's not blended correctly!" Well, ms or mr thang. That was the point. I didn't want the inner corner fully blended because of that little webbing type dealio. Normally I do blend it straight into that, but not this time. I wasn't wanting to blend it that far this time. Judge if you must.
