Wet n Wild 1 Step Wonder Gel

I found this in the clearance bin at Walmart and I am not really sure why it was there! I found other polishes, that were not clearanced out...actually thinking back, I was at Walmart earlier and I found this exact polish that was not on clearance. I am not sure why, who knows! I am certainly am not going to complain at all! This is that good of a polish!

Cyantific Method is such a gorgeous Cyan color...also when I first wore this, or well looked at the name, I didn't get it.. Now I do upon writing it for the third time! Cyantific..like Scientific. Get it? I obviously didn't at first. Go figure!

I actually like how this picture came out, only because you can see how it looks in various degrees of lighting. The ring finger (3rd from left) if what the polish looks true to life.This applies so smooth and effortlessly! Like spreading butter over warm toast! Depending on how thick that you decide to apply it, it will take 1-2 coats.

One thing I do want to warn you about, especially if you haave a small amount of nail space, the brush on this is rather large. It however, is still easy to use, even on my pinky, which is my smallest nail. The brush is just about the width of my pinky. I do think that it makes it that easy to apply. This is also in a black bottle, I am not sure if that means anything in particular, but you will have a bit of a time trying to see how much you have left.

I also want to mention that I did not use a top coat. This is pretty shiny on its own!

SquareHue January 2017 The Dance Collection - Tango

I hope you all have a fantastic Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa and a Happy New Year! I took the rest of the month off just to be able to compose myself as well as plan some posts out.  Ya know it has been a while since I took nail pictures outside. My hands look old!

The Tango is a partner dance between two people that originated in the 1890s in Argentina and Uruguay. The dance was originally called Tango Criollo or the Creole Tango, 

Golpe  - A periwinkle blue with a subtle silver/blue metallic.

This polish! Just wow, it looks way better on the nails than in the bottle! I originally thought I had a polish like it, but once I applied it I quickly realized I have nothing like it!

Media Luna - Midnight blue with blue and silver shimmer

I mean, you can't go wrong with a lovely midnight blue! This is such a pretty and dark blue! 

La Parada - Tangerine with a holo glitter

My one warning with La Parada is that it is a thick polish, so be careful when applying it. You also definitely will need a top coat with this bad boy to make it sparkle even more.

Birthday Makeup & Nails

Well hello there!

Happy Monday to you all! Today is my Birthday and of course I am typing a post up! I mean why not, I have nothing else planned! Lame right? Not really! I usually never plan anything for my birthday, so I am totally okay with it!

It is like 85 freakin degrees in Florida today and I just have to say that it is freaking ridiculous. It is hot and humid and just WHY?! I no joke have been complaining about it all day. I just don't like sweating! Any hoodle.

For my makeup, like usual I just did my eyes. I never do foundation because I have yet to find one that I like! The only products I am going to chat about right now are from The Body Shop! I am not talking about the others because I am still in testing phases for them.

I used The Body Shops Down To Earth Palette 04. I used Attica Marble, Petra Sandstone, Penrhyn Slate and, Bengal Granite. I didn't want to go for a totally neutral look and I didn't want to go for a dark look. I felt that for the day, this palette is bloomin' perfect. Plus! You can build it up. I also used their Eye Colour Stick in Nevada Gold. The glitter in Nevada Gold actually took away a little of the purple from Petra Sandstone. The thing I really like about this palette is that it doesn't make it look like you were punched in the eyes like most purple shadows do.

 For my nails. I ended up going through two different looks. I didn't like how the firsts turned out, so I changed it. I knew for a fact that I wanted to use ORLY Space Cadet because it is my absolute favorite nail polish. I no joke have been collecting polishes that are similar, just so I can have them. That is how much I love this polish. I didn't catch the shift in the polish unfortunately. If you do want to see all of the shifting in the polish, definitely check this post out.

The rest of the nails were layering of ORLY Purple Velvet and ORLY Mirrorball.I can not get over how this turned out.. It seems pretty popular, but probably because of the holo-ness of the whole thing! :P

Square Hue Ice Skate Rockefeller Center 12.16

It is that time of year again! December's Square Hue box arrived a couple of days ago and of course I was excited! I was excited to find out what the theme was and what the polishes would look like! It has been another year of swatching for Square Hue that has been so fun! I hope you all enjoyed seeing all of the polishes this year! 

The first polish is aptly names Frosty. They call this a shimmer polish and I would have to agree with that. This is a very light silver based polish with micro silver shimmer. If you want to wear this alone, with no base color, prepare to use 2+ coats. I used three in the picture BUT you can definitely use more. 

Rudolph is a straight up shimmery red. This is the PERFECT red for the holiday season because it is that classic Christmas Red. Depending on how you apply this you could get away with 1 coat, 2 at the most, which is what I used.This is one of those reds that I can definitely see myself wearing throughout the entire year because it is pretty and if you think about it, it looks like Rudolph's shiny red nose!

Jingle Bells is a darker gold. Again, it is one of those polishes, that if you looked at it, you would associate it with Christmas. They classify this polish as a foil, but again, in my opinion I don't really think it is a foil. I would consider it more of a metallic shimmer polish. 

I do like this collection and I think that it definitely embodies the Holiday (Christmas) season. The polishes are really pretty and I love that they can give you that glitz that you want during the entire Holiday season! I would have loved to have seen something maybe about Chanukkah or maybe Kwanzaa, but if you really think about it, the red could go for both Christmas and Kwanzaa and the silver can go for Chanukkah. 

What is your favorite Adventure from 2016, or your favorite polish that Square Hue created this year?! I think mine would have to be Pompidou for sure! 

Holographic Fall Nails!

Why hello there! I know everyone is starting their Holiday nails, but I am still in Fall! I really have been wanting to do these nails since I got the Square Hue box in November. This box made me quickly realize that brown is actually my favorite color. I know, weird right?! I've been saying it was purple for ages, but really, it is brown. Don't ask me why, I don't have an explanation. 

I used Square Hue's Pompidou polish from November 2016, because it is holographic. I seriously told you all, that I will wear this polish the entire month and I did. This polish is so dang pretty that I just can't get over it. Let's not kid ourselves though! You can never have too much holographic anything. 

I have had these Hard Candy holographic glitters for ages and have had no idea what to do with them. They look pretty awful on the lids and are a pain to get off of your eye lid when it is time to take them off. It just isn't that though, I am not exactly sure these are made for use near your eyes...the glitter is a little too coarse for my liking. 

I used the City Chic duo and pretty much just mixed the two glitters together for the ultimate holographic glitter tips! I basically just dipped the tip of my slightly wet nails into the glitter and called it a day. They aren't all even, but come on, this is me, I can't even draw a stick figure. I don't think everything has to be perfect when it comes to your nails anyways. 

I will say that I did put these under my LED light for gel nails,, I found that it actually helped the glitter dry on pretty well and not fall off. Square Hue polishes aren't gel polishes, but I will be danged! The light actually helped the glitter adhere to the polish so much better than letting it dry on  its own! The glitter even lasted through a shower, which it didn't do the first time I did these!

SquareHue Museum Hop Paris November 2016 & Thanksgiving Nail Art

This is going to be a two in one post. I have swatches of this Months Square Hue polishes and some nail art that I did with more Square Hue Polishes. I had actual proper Square Hue Swatches of each polish BUT apparently them memory card went missing and I didn't have time to redo them before I wanted to get this post up. 

I do think that we need to listen to Shinedown Asking For It. No joke, cutest freaking music video ever! 

Let's get into it! 

So, I am sorry but this is the only picture of the polishes that I have. I don't think it matters if it is swatches on one finger or on 4. As long as you can see the polish, then what does it matter? At least that is how I look at it. 

We are going to be working from the pinky (left) to the pointer (right). I will save the Zombie Turkey for last though. 

d'Orsay

I don't even know how to pronounce that to be honest. But d'Orsay is a peachy-pink nude polish. I wont lie, when I first applied this polish originally, I bloody hated it. Upon wearing it the second time, I do actually like it! It is such a lovely and opaque polish. 

Pompidou 

Girrrrl/Guuuy No joke, this is my favorite polish out of the entire year! I LOVE holographic polishes! I mean, let us be real, who doesn't like holos?! I have a special place in my heart for holographic brown polishes though! I have worn this polish the most out of the entire year. This one is a bit thinner than the other two, but it still only needs maybe three coats.

Louvre 

This matter polish is a cement grey and it is one of those polishes that you need to use the least amount of strokes possible. That is to just get it to look even! When I first applied this, I couldn't get it even to save my life! You can still see some marks in the polish, but it is still gorgeous! I did apply a top coat on the end, just so you could see what it looks like shiny...and then I smudged the corner. I know, shame on me. 

As much as I grumbled about d'Orsay and Louvre in the beginning, I actually like the entire collection! Pompidou is for real a must have though! I am quickly learning that Brown may be my favorite color, is that weird?!


Okay, so for the Turkey, this really was my first time doing nail art in probably....a while. I only just found my dotting tools and I am missing the one that I actually needed. Next time I will probably get some striping polishes so you can tell the difference between the head and neck. Can you tell that I didn't think it totally through?! Honestly, it is not my best work butt I am still a noob when it comes to nail art, so you can't judge me! I have taken that away! Muahahhaha.

All polishes I used were SquareHue, but of course if you want to try and do your own Turkey, you can use any polishes you want.

My turkey wouldn't have looked like a zombie if the polish wouldn't have ran >_< I thought it was totally dry! Apparently not though! Bummage

How are you doing?! Well I hope!

I'm putting this post early because I might be a little delayed on new posts except the couple I already have pictures added too. I have no idea what happened but the screen on my laptop is broken and I'm hoping we can get it fixed quickly :( so please please bare with me!! :(

Today's post is one I debated about putting up because it was a LE polish back in 2011 from China Glaze's Haunted Halloween collection. I'm sure you can find this on eBay and Amazon for reasonably cheap. I posted a picture on Instagram and it was pretty popular (for me at least) so I figured that I would put it here and show everyone! :D

This is definitely one of my favorite polishes. The only big downfall with this polish is that it is so thick it's kind of hard to manage. Once you get it on though it's gorgeous!

The reason my Pinky and Index finger look a little weird is because I topped with this Ghoulish Glow (China Glaze's Glow In The Dark polish) and it was a little thicker on those two nails. hah

This is 2 coats of polish. You do definitely need 2 coats for this unless you put it over another polish, which why would you?! :P It's so...just so gorgeous!

Isn't this just so sexy and gorgeous! Mmm! I need to find another bottle of this because this one is actually close to being empty, that's how much I've used it! :O

SquareHue Sail Windward Islands - June 2016

I know, I know. I am running a month behind on these at this point. I almost have July's done and they will be up in the next week or so! I have just been trying to catch up on everything at this point. Also, please excuse the fact that my swatch "pose" is really off with these, I have no idea what was going through my mind. -_-

The Windward Islands are a group of larger islands in the Lesser Antilles. All of these islands are within the West Indies. I've heard of all of these places, but didn't realize where they were. I'm glad that I now know! I think my favorite part about SquareHue is that with each month, you always are learning something!

St.Lucia - A mustard yellow creme with orange undertones. 

I am not much of a yellow person, but looking through my collection, all of my yellows are some variation of this color. I must be a lover of mustard yellow polishes! 

St.Vincent - Bright Orange shimmer with red undertones.

This is such a striking polish! I love how the light captures the sparkles! 

Martinique Grass green with shimmer

This is the color that my Niece loved the most. Bright colors like this always catch her fancy! 

All of these polishes formula wise are on par with how they always are. Each polish was opaque in two to three coats, depending on how I felt they looked on the nail. As you can tell, I did some stamping this month. While it's not great, I wanted to see if each polish is actually stampable. Do they claim this? No, but it's fun to see, especially so you don't have to go out and buy special polishes just to stamp.

The stamping isn't that great on my end, because I am still trying to get used to it. I will say that all of these stamped great. Are they great stamped on each other? Probably not because as you can tell, on some of the nails you can't really see it. I did have a little problem stamping with the green because it was a little thinner than the others, but it still turned out great! I think if they were used over a darker polish they would look excellent! 

What do you think of June's collection?! I think all of these could definitely be summer polish staples because they are all bright!

SquareHue Scooter Key West May 2016

I know that I am a month behind on my swatches of these! Please excuse that! Last month was pretty hard here with the many different things going on. I'm not going to get into it right now, but everything has gotten better. Now we are just waiting to find out what is going on with my Grandfather. Ai yi yi. 

I've lived in Florida and have never been to Key West, it's one of those places that are on my list to visit! If it's anything like what I've seen and what these polishes make me think of, then my trip will definitely be sooner than later!

Duval Street - Mint Creme

Duval Street is such a gorgeous light minty polish. This leans more towards to blue side of the mint spectrum. It's such a gorgeous creamy polish. It applied like a dream and was opaque in two coats.

Mallory Square - Pastel Pink with Blue Microglitter

Mallory Square is a gorgeous pink polish. This was the one I was unsure about liking because I am not a total fan of pink polishes. Let me just tell you though, it is so gorgeous! This one is a little on the more sheer side so you do need three coats for full opacity BUT, it's totally worth it!

Southernmost Point - Fuchsia with a blue shift

This is my favorite polish out of the trio. I love the fuschia with the blue shift. When this catches the light just right, it glimmers. Chris saw this polish and was instantly in love with it as well! That's a rarity.

All of these polishes applied like a dream and were opaque between 2-3 coats. I seriously love SquareHue's polishes. I just can't get over them!

SquareHue Skydive Interlaken April 2016

I wasn't really expecting anything from this collection to be honest. Between you, me and the rest of the Internet, I stayed off of Instagram most of the month so I didn't even know this months theme. There has been a lot of family stuff going on and preparing for my Mom to have surgery on the 19th and one other thing we really aren't talking about that deals with another family member. I did tweet about it when I found out, but that is all I really said about it. Unfortunately the big C happens to those you least expect it to happen too. That is all I shall say about that.

To a more happy note, this box was the colorful light of my month. It showed up on the 2nd of the month, but then again, I am only a few hours from Miami (where SquareHue) is located. So, it's kind of a sneaky advantage to me. *cackles* 

I think that out of all of the months so far, this is my collection. The polishes just scream Spring to me and I love it! 

Mönch looks like it would be a bright yellow jelly but it is in fact a bright yellow MATTE polish. I was really surprised when I read the card that it wasn't a jelly. It took two coats to make it opaque and surprisingly it was not hard to work with!

Eiger is a pink polish with a pretty light blue shimmer-pearl polish. SquareHue calls it a duo chrome and that is something that it definitely is not. Two coats is the perfect amount for a full coverage. You can still see a little bit of VNL, but not enough to warrant another coat.

Jungfrau has to be the most surprising polish for me. This is a light lavender polish with a lot of glitter in it. It's not chunky or does the glitter make it hard to work with. I've been waiting for them to make a polish with actual glitters in it instead of just a shimmer. I would say though that if you're wanting the amount of glitter I have, I would probably dab it a little bit here and there. That is how I got such an amount of glitter. On my pinky, I didn't dab though and you can see that you still get quite a bit of glitter. 

Jungfrau is the main summit in a group of mountains that is 4158 Meters (13,642 feet) high in the Bernese Alps.
Eiger is a 3970 Meters (13,025 feet) high mountain also in the Bernese Alps.
Mönch is a mountain that is 4106 Meters (13,474 Feet) high mountain also in the Bernese Alps.

Out of the three polishes from this month I would have to say that Jungfrau is probably my favorite. There is just something about it that I love. Plus, you can either wear it as one coat or two coats and I have shown in the above picture.
The formula's of these are all on par with each other and they all apply easily and you don't have to dab the glitter, it is just a personal preference. The whole collection is definitely a winner in my book!

SquareHue Dublin Pub Crawl - March 2016

I've been waiting to put blog posts back up until I can manage to get my .com address back, but then I realized that GoDaddy is giving me a hard time and wont release my domain name and I am not going to wait around and lose precious and valuable blogging time. I'm going to try and catch up with the next couple of weeks of the month and hopefully all will be good again! I'm also going to start throwing in more lifestyle-ish posts because I feel that the blogging world is too over saturated with beauty blogs and everyone is doing the same thing at the same time. There is nothing wrong with being different!

Without anymore rambling, here is the SquareHue Dublin Pub Crawl Collection!

I will say that I did internally groan a little bit when I saw the blue because they've been releasing quite a few blues as of late. They haven't released anything that is a dupe, but they have released a color a few months ago that is similar to this one.

St.John I would describe as a sky blue that is opaque in just two coats. The formula is lovely like usual with their cream polishes. 

Temple Bar I have been describing it as an orange creamsicle color that is a little darker than you would think. It's still gorgeous though! It is also opaque in two coats and the formula is just the same as usual.

Bridge Inn Is a "textured polish". I would say this is more of an off white with silver shimmers in it. Am I impressed with it? No. The formula is very thick and kind of hard to work with. It is a subtle textured polish though, so it's no like a PixieDust and it definitely is not like the China Glaze Textured ones. This does take two coats as well, but you have to make sure you get it even and really work with it. 

Is this my favorite collection by them? No it's not. There are definitely dupes out there for St.John, I do believe China Glaze has one and I can't think of the name at the moment. I don't have any polishes like Temple Bar and Bridge Inn so I am glad to have them!

Square Hue Bike Amsterdam -February 2016 Collection

Good hello!
Okay, is it just me or is anyone else's allergies going insane right now?! Mine are and it feels like I am dying...okay not really but anyone with allergies can totally relate. The worst part? If it is outside, I am allergic to it! ...Oh, I'm also allergic to my cats but I will never get rid of them! Muhahaha. I'll suffer. 

This months SquareHue at first glance was uneventful to me...That was until I actually painted my nails! These polishes are so pretty all in their own ways and the one polish I thought I would like the least, is actually the one I like the most! Surprise, surprise! 

I saw someone say that they were disappointed in the fact that there was no green in the collection. I'm not disappointed, but I am surprised...but also at the same time, I can understand why there isn't a green in the collection. Ya know? 

Waterland District -

 A municipality in the Netherlands consisting of 9 village, cities, towns, and/or districts.

With this polish, depending on the length of you nail, you could get away with one coat, but I did two coats as a just in case...because that it what I prefer.  The formula was amazing as well! It was not too thick or too thin and it dried pretty quick. 

Vondelpark - 

Largest city park in Amsterdam

I love how dark this polish is! It is such a deep grape purple! In certain lights though it can look black, but that is okay! This is also a 1-2 coat polish depending on the length of your nails. I used two coats. I also want to mention that the formula is the same as Waterland District.

The Nieuwmarkt - 

A square in the center of Amsterdam

 This is a two coater. This is the polish that I was talking about. I really thought that I would hate this color, because I am just so over red nail polishes. However, this has such a lovely pink shimmer to it, which you can see that it makes it unique to my collection...I think. Regardless, it is a very pretty nail polish! Since this polish is a shimmer, the formula is thinner than the others, but I didn't have any issues with it at all!

Even though in the beginning I was feeling quite "meh" about the polishes, they all grew on me! I'm glad that these were in the box as well as Nieuwmarkt is PERFECT to wear for Valentines day! I also want to mention that the accent fingers were stamped with SquareHue polishes from the same collection. I used the MoYou Holy Shapes 01 Stamping plate. I would link it, but I don't know if there is still that issue going on with them.

A Glittering New Years Eve with Claws Up

I was talking to my girl Jacquie (Claws Up) on Snapchat one day (auttyw) and somehow we got on the topic of doing twin-nails for New Years Eve. Heck yes! I was so excited! We finally decided on a design and cue the existence of trying to find the perfect polishes to use. Then cue the stress of oh my polish gods, how am I going to do this dang cup?! Thank goodness for Google Images, you don't even want to know what the OG design looked liked! Calling it a mess was an understatement! I have no shame in admitting the fact that I worked on this way longer than I should have (almost three days) as well as I used the most ridiculous amount of nail polishes!

Lets back up a little bit and just explain what I went through. I had the design down packed and they looked awesome! ...Or well, my opinion of awesome, then it came to top coat them! Y'all know we need that extra shininess in our lives! Cue the huge sighs and freaking out, my top coat made the tips of my nails cloudy! I've had it happen before, but another thin coat fixed it right up! Not this time though, it made it worse! So, I had to go back and fix it and just....added even more polishes to try and cover up the fact that the top coat messed them up!

The freak out and stress aside, I'm actually really pleased with how these look and I can't wait to see how Jacquie's turned out! I'm really glad that we did these together! We are going to have another post together, but of course, I still need to work on it! It's not going to be that difficult though! I love doing collab posts, even though they are few and far between.

Mad props to you Jaq for listening to me freak out because I couldn't find the polishes and that I changed a setting on my camera and the OG pictures were messed up and just no bueno! You are seriously my best frand! I don't know what I would have done if it weren't for you girl!

SquareHue December'15 - 2010 Decades Collection

I can't believe that it is already December! My Birthday is tomorrow and Christmas is in a week! It is crazy how quick 2015 passed! Hopefully 2016 goes a bit slower! One of my favorite things for the year has been being able to work with SquareHue and swatch their amazing polishes! It has been an absolute pleasure working with them and I can not wait to see what the new year has in store for them! Let's get into the swatches because I may get a little sappy and I don't think you all want to hear it! :P

I got my nails done a week ago and I was holding off on swatching these till I got my nails done and all of that....you have no idea how bummed I was when I saw the state of my cuticles! They were and actually still are a mess and I mean they are embarrassing! So I had to think of an alternate plan for the swatches! I'm not pleased with how they are, but I didn't want to subject these stunning polishes to ugly fingers!

Up first is Bird Fling 2010 which is a gorgeous classic red creme 

When I first opened the box, I groaned a little bit because I don't wear red polish often. However though, I am in love with this polish. It's such a classic red creme polish that I can see myself wearing this quite often!

I can hear you internally groaning at the name. Once I read the swatch card, I know I groaned and the song was stuck in my head for HOURS. If you don't know what I am talking about, it's Baby by Justin Bieber. Yeah. lol 

This is such a classic purple in my opinion. I call it classic because it is one of the few polish colors that my Mom would wear when I was younger.

Olympiad 2018 Champagne Foil

I honestly was no expecting to like this polish when I saw that it was labeled as a foil. I mean, total me thing but this doesn't remind me of a foil polish at all. Foils to me are metallic, gaudy and just...I am not a fan of foil polishes to say the least. This though it quite lovely and I can definitely see myself wearing it quite often!


All of the formulas were pretty standard. They applied evenly and only needed 2 MAYBE 3 coats with Bird Fling 20103 if you applied it very lightly. The polishes dried rather quickly, meaning I didn't have much down time in between coats or waiting for my nails to fully dry from start to finish.

I think that this is a good trio of colors to end the year on! Part of me expected Christmasy polishes, but at the same time I am glad that they weren't the standard red, green and silver...because everyone in their brother is doing those colors. I am quite pleased!

In a post before the end of the year I am going to do a video post showing all of the polishes from the year so you can see them all together! I think it will be super fun to do!

Rock the 2000s with SquareHue November 2015!

The theme for November's SquareHue box was the 2000s Decade. I wasn't really sure what to expect from this collection honestly, so I was surprised that two out of the three polishes were named after major tragedies that happened in the United States. I guess, I will explain more with each polish. I like that there was one color theme through the whole box, it makes it feel...complete? Whole? I'm not sure, there is just something solemn about it. 

The polish that you see below is aptly named Never Forget 2001. I'm sure that you all can instantly see what this polish was named after. The September 11th attacks. 

This polish is a metallic silver polish that is opaque in two coats. 

Just like with all..or well most metallic polishes, you can see the brush strokes with the polish. The pinky and ring fingers are without topcoat so you can see the polish in all of its natural beauty and my index finger has a top coat on it, not that you can really tell. BUT regardless, this is a really nice polish even though it's named after something super depressing. 

Idol 2002 is named after you guessed it...American Idol, which first aired in 2002. 

So, as you can tell I have 4 fingers (I mean I really have 10 but don't tell anyone, our secret.) and they are all different. Let's pretend that my index finger is invisible because we will chit chat about that at the end after the swatches.
My middle finger has 3 coats of Idol by itself with nothing under it.
Ring Finger has 1 coat over Hurricane 2005

Pinky Finger has 1 coat over Idol 2002.

This is a silver glitter polish and like a typical glitter polish is a pain in the big ol booty to remove, but the effect is worth it in my opinion. 

I didn't find that this polish had much of a sparkle to it, it's pretty but it's nothing that is like WAH-BAM in your face like some of their previous glitters. It still is pretty though!

This last polish is Hurricane 2005 which is aptly named after Hurricane Katrina. Another absolutely devastating disaster that happened.
This is a dark steel gray..silver? polish and it can be opaque in 1 coat if applied semi-thick, but if you apply it thinly, you can get it opaque in two coats.
Once again, my index finger is the only one with a top coat so you can see the polish in all of it natural glory as well as with some extra shine. I would call this polish a satin maybe? It wasn't matte but it wasn't shiny either. 

The one thing that I noticed with these polishes is that they dried rather quick. I've found that a lot of SquareHue's polishes dried quickly, but since these are metallic polishes, they dry just like other metallic polishes. I decided that since they dry quick, I would throw my hand in at stamping again. I know that I am terrible at it, but I wanted to try anyways to show that these can be used for stamping. My results are below. 

Don't ask me what plate I used...well I used two actually. One of them (index finger) was the one and only Cult Nails stamping plate and the other came from one of those Fing'rs sets that you can get at Walmart. I always had trouble with the love image, but dang-it I wanted to try it because it was one of the more intricate designs that I had. I think I did an okay job with it. Plus the Chevron, yay it came out looking okay as well. I'm pretty pleased with how these turned out for a n00b. :D You can't see it but I am patting myself on the back! :D

SquareHue 1990s Decades Collection - October 2015

This months Squarehue box is based on the 1990s Decade. Since I was born in 1990, I was SUPER excited to see what was going to be in this box. I will tell you right off of the bat that I am feeling a little bit lukewarm about the collection as a whole. But we will talk about each polish first. 

Vogue 1990 

Shimmery Burgundy

2 coats

Be careful when you wear this, in the next two swatches you will be able to tell that this polish stains. Now, the staining does come off easily, but after I finished the swatches it took a little bit of scrubbing to get it off of the skin. 

Desert Storm 1991
Glossy Light Creamy Brown

2 Coats

The formula is nice and thick, but not thick to where it is hard to work with. Just make sure that when you apply this, you aren't applying it in a cold room because it will set pretty quick on you. This applied very easily and it didn't flood the cuticles or create a mess.

Y2K 1999

Shiny Gunmetal Grey
2 Coats

Be careful with this polish. The formula is thin, so it will definitely flood into your cuticles easily if you aren't careful. Other than that, the formula and the opacity of this polish is pretty impressive.


All in all, it's a pretty decent collection. While I do like the polishes, I'm not totally thrilled with the color selections for this month. I don't know, they just don't feel entirely 90s to me. Plus, it's kind of like Septembers collection, but slight differences. A different kind of red, a creamy brown instead of a creamy grey and a gunmetal instead of a chocolate brown. I just feel underwhelmed by this decades collection. Considering this was the one that I was looking forward to the most because I was born in 1990, and was probably a little over too excited. I mean, it's a total me thing, but I did hear from a couple of other people on facebook that they were pretty underwhelmed by this month as well.

Hopefully the 2000's decade box is pretty exciting! Here's to hoping for something new!
