The Body Shop Oils Of Life Intensely Revitalizing Eye Cream Gel

This post contains products that were sent for review consideration. All opinions and pictures are 100% my own.

I think that I am going to start putting the disclaimer at the top of the post, just to stop any possible confusion that people could possibly have. Anyone that has been around here for a while knows that I wont talk about products that I don't like or don't actually use. For those of you who are new, you will always find real and truthful reviews here. Both good and bad, so have no fear. :) Anyways, back to the scheduled programming!

When I first had this written up in my notebook, I had an initial review of this Eye Cream Gel. It is such a mouthful that I don't want to type it! Bahah. Three days into using this, I was seriously in love with it! It had made my under eye area brighter as well as it didn't look like I had huge bags from the lack of sleep that I was getting at the time! Don't get me wrong, I am still not getting much sleep a lot of the time, but I do still love the product!

The packaging of this is seriously so cute! It is in such a little golden jar with a black lid on it. The product itself is a light transparent gold as well with .... SHIMMER in it! Yeah, that threw me off when I first noticed it. I do have to say though that you don't notice it at all when you apply it to your under eyes, so don't worry about it at all!

One of the claims of this product is that it "helps your eye contour", I personally have no idea what that is....so I will take their word for it. Depending on the day....or well since it is Florida the temperature, I apply this to my eye lid as well as my under eye area. Is it necessary? No. Do I do it? Yes, because I bloody well can. :)
You can kind of see some of the shimmer in the pot, but let me assure you, once you put it on you will not see this at all. It really is quite a lovely gel once you apply it. It does have quite a cooling effect to it when you apply it. It also does soak into the skin quite quickly so you can apply this and then prep for makeup if you are doing it that day!

This is a pricey little pot though. It retails for $32 USD for a tiny pot of 0.68 fl oz. What I will say though it that will last you ages. This is really one of those products where you need the smallest amount for both eyes. What you see on my hand, is actually way too much. I do think that this is fully worth it for the price though! When I was sick, you couldn't tell! This worked bloody wonders on my eye area that it made me love it even more!

What do you think? Something you would invest in?! I definitely will be purchasing a new jar of this once I run out!

Birthday Makeup & Nails

Contains PR products
Well hello there!

Happy Monday to you all! Today is my Birthday and of course I am typing a post up! I mean why not, I have nothing else planned! Lame right? Not really! I usually never plan anything for my birthday, so I am totally okay with it!

It is like 85 freakin degrees in Florida today and I just have to say that it is freaking ridiculous. It is hot and humid and just WHY?! I no joke have been complaining about it all day. I just don't like sweating! Any hoodle.

For my makeup, like usual I just did my eyes. I never do foundation because I have yet to find one that I like! The only products I am going to chat about right now are from The Body Shop! I am not talking about the others because I am still in testing phases for them.

I used The Body Shops Down To Earth Palette 04. I used Attica Marble, Petra Sandstone, Penrhyn Slate and, Bengal Granite. I didn't want to go for a totally neutral look and I didn't want to go for a dark look. I felt that for the day, this palette is bloomin' perfect. Plus! You can build it up. I also used their Eye Colour Stick in Nevada Gold. The glitter in Nevada Gold actually took away a little of the purple from Petra Sandstone. The thing I really like about this palette is that it doesn't make it look like you were punched in the eyes like most purple shadows do.

For my nails. I ended up going through two different looks. I didn't like how the firsts turned out, so I changed it. I knew for a fact that I wanted to use ORLY Space Cadet because it is my absolute favorite nail polish. I no joke have been collecting polishes that are similar, just so I can have them. That is how much I love this polish. I didn't catch the shift in the polish unfortunately. If you do want to see all of the shifting in the polish, definitely check this post out.

The rest of the nails were layering of ORLY Purple Velvet and ORLY Mirrorball.I can not get over how this turned out.. It seems pretty popular, but probably because of the holo-ness of the whole thing! :P

Like I said, I have nothing planned and just felt like doing my makeup just because I can. :)

The Body Shop At Home Facial Mask Experience(s)! #MultiMasking #DareToMask

Press Sample

Well howdy doody! Today I have something glorious to talk about! I have actually been saving this post until it got closer to the holiday season! We all know that one person who is utterly obsessed with face masks. I was going to share with you the entirety of the collection, packaging and all, but I can't seem to find it on The Body Shop's website. Such a shame! However, I will link to each individual Face mask. :)

The Amazonian Acai Energising Radiance Mask is 100% Vegan. Did that have to be larger than the rest of the text? Yes, yes it did because I wanted the point to be across. This masks main..or key ingredients I guess they would be called is Acai Berry and Guarana Extract and Babassu Oil. This mask does have what I am assuming is the seeds from the acai berry in it, which helps exfoliate your skin and the guarana extract helps to awaken your skin.

When you apply this to your skin, I kid you not, it looks like you went for one of those Kim Kardashian Vampire Facials. Does anyone remember when that was popular? That is no joke, what this reminds me of. The color legit looks like a light layer of blood. Every time I use this, it is all I can think of!

When I wore this, it felt tingly, which I am assuming is from the guarana extract "waking" my skin up. It wasn't bothersome at all, but I did feel that my skin definitely didn't look as dull as it has been looking in the recent weeks.

The Chinese Ginseng & Rice Clarifying Polishing Mask is Paraben Free. This mask is NOT Vegan, so those of you who use only Vegan products, this is not for you unfortunately. The key ingredients in this mask are Rice and Ginseng from China as well as Sesame Seed Oil from Nicaragua. Ginseng is known for having toning properties in it, so I feel that it is perfect to have in a face mask. This mask also has salicylic acid in it, so it is perfect for those of us who have acne.

I am not really sure what the exfoliating aspect of this is, I thought it was the rice, but I saw in the ingredients that it is an extract, so I am not really sure.

I loved this mask! My skin bloody glowed after using this! My skin felt tighter and the one pimple that I did have reduced in size!

The British Rose Fresh Plumping Mask is 100% Vegan. Yes, this is another Vegan mask. The key ingredients are Rose petals, rose essence and Rose hip Oil. You could say that this is a very floral masks. I personally don't think that the scent of this is overwhelming and I am pretty sensitive to rose sensitive products. Floral things are just not my jam.

This is best for those who have dry skin. This replenishes moisture as well as soothes and tones skin. Of course oily skinned people can use it as well! I do!

The Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow Mask is 100% Vegan. This is a mud mask so be prepared for it to dry! The key ingredients in this are bamboo charcoal and tea tree oil and green tea leaves from Japan. This is another mask that is perfect for acne prone skin. This does have an exfoliating property so it and it is the green tea leaves. Don't be alarmed because it looks chunky in the jar and you will definitely get leaves on your face!

I feel like this mask kind of has a minty scent to it, but it may be the tea tree oil and I could definitely be mistaking the scent! I do also find that this does make your face feel cooler! When this dries be careful! If you talk or move too much it will definitely start to crack and fall off of your face!

The Ethiopian Honey Deep Nourishing Mask is Paraben Free. Obviously this isn't Vegan because it has honey in it. The key ingredients are honey, olive oil and marula oil. This is another mask that is for hydration, so all of you dry skin gals and lads and or all of you who start getting dry areas when the weather gets cooler, this is for you!

This basically looks like you are wearing a clear mask on your skin, it is pretty translucent. The scent of this is lovely, it isn't overpowering, I think it may be the marula oil but it smells so nice..plus you smell the honey as well!

This definitely does hydrate your skin! I could tell my skin was super hydrated, even though it is oily!

Now, each mask is 3 ounces and retails for $28. I know, cringe worthy! They are totally worth it though! Let's be real right now, you don't need to use a lot of each mask to cover an entire face, I have a pretty large one and I barely had to use any to cover my face. These masks will last you quite a while! These are actually products I would go out and purchase on my own, with my own money..That is actually how much I do like these masks. Heck, even Chris likes them and I can't get him to use a face mask most of the time. When I do get him to wear one, it has to be a Body Shop mask because they are the only ones that he likes. That says something because that man hates putting things on his face.

You may notice that each one does do something different, I mean what is the point of having 5 masks that do the same thing! Well, there really isn't one. The point I am getting at is that The Body Shop designed these to be used separately as well as together. Multi-Masking! Using multiple masks on your face to treat the different areas of your skin! I am sure they are not the first ones to come up with it, but I do like how they have put it together. I have yet to try and multi mask because I would no joke, end up putting all 5 on my face just because I dang well could! ... Heck I should do that! I have a stressful day coming up! I just gave myself a great idea. High Give!

Don't think I am just talking these up because they were sent to me. While I am grateful that The Body Shop sent them to me! If you have been here any length of time then you would know, if I don't like a product I either wont talk about it, or I will give it, its rightful review, I do genuinely love these masks. These would be perfect for a gift to yourself or a gift to a skincare lover that you know!

Have you tried these?! Will you try them?!

I've tried hand lotions before that were supposed to be heavy duty and that were supposed to help dry skin and make them feel more moisturized. I was never impressed with them because they were either extremely greasy, or they just didn't actually moisturize anything. That's the biggest issue I have with hand creams is that they aren't moisturizing enough for my hands. I don't have super dry hands, but they are dry enough that I need a hand cream! Not only just that, but I have Chris help me out when testing hand creams out, and you know darn well I made him try this one out! At first, he didn't think it was actually working, but I told him that he needed to give it a couple of minutes to actually sink into his skin. This wasn't some magical stuff that you rubbed in and was gone. To his surprise, I was right. Shocking, I know. He actually really enjoyed using this and loved that fact that his hands didn't feel rough, dry and just unpleasant. So, this has a big thumbs up from the Husband!
When I first recieved this in the mail, my parents gave me a weird look and asked why I wanted anything with Hemp in it. I had to explain to them that hemp is non-psychotic and you can't actually get high from using this hand cream. The product is enriched with Community Trade hemp seed oil, and contains about 950 hemp seeds into every tube of Hand Protector. It's extremely moisturizing as well as it restores the suppleness back into my hands. I also like to use this on my elbows, I know it's made for hands, but my elbows are insanely dry to the point it's painful and this just helps them feel dang amazing!

You know when there is a scent, and it is a familiar one but you just can't seem to place it? That is the issue I am having with this! I've not tried many hemp products in the past, I've had a hemp bracelet, but that is basically the extend of my hemp foray. I do have to say that I love the scent of this, it's very earthy. No, it doesn't smell like you know what, but I just can't find a good way to explain the scent. I do like that it is not over powering. Yes, it does linger a bit, but it fades. I do think that there is a stigma to hemp products, because people just assume it with it's smokeable version, and that's sad. My parents instantly thought what most people think about hemp and didn't think/know that it was actually good for your skin and a very useful plant.

I've realized lately that I have been needing a heavier moisturizer for my hands, simply the weather here in Florida has been crazy. It's driving my skin up a wall because it doesn't know what to do! One minute it's 80F+ and the next it is like 40F+. I love that this product is thick, as you can tell in the above picture. It feels so lovely on the skin and it definitely is NOT greasy at all, which we all know is fantastic. Who wants greasy hands? No one, that is who. My hands always feel very soft after using this and I have definitely been able to see a difference in them from what they looked like with my previous hand cream. I still love it, but I think that's more for summer and until the weather figures out what it exactly is going to do, I will use the Hemp Hand Protector.

I definitely suggest heading over to thebodyshop-usa.com and picking up a tube of this for yourself!
