The Body Shop Oils Of Life Intensely Revitalizing Eye Cream Gel

This post contains products that were sent for review consideration. All opinions and pictures are 100% my own.

I think that I am going to start putting the disclaimer at the top of the post, just to stop any possible confusion that people could possibly have. Anyone that has been around here for a while knows that I wont talk about products that I don't like or don't actually use. For those of you who are new, you will always find real and truthful reviews here. Both good and bad, so have no fear. :) Anyways, back to the scheduled programming!

When I first had this written up in my notebook, I had an initial review of this Eye Cream Gel. It is such a mouthful that I don't want to type it! Bahah. Three days into using this, I was seriously in love with it! It had made my under eye area brighter as well as it didn't look like I had huge bags from the lack of sleep that I was getting at the time! Don't get me wrong, I am still not getting much sleep a lot of the time, but I do still love the product!

The packaging of this is seriously so cute! It is in such a little golden jar with a black lid on it. The product itself is a light transparent gold as well with .... SHIMMER in it! Yeah, that threw me off when I first noticed it. I do have to say though that you don't notice it at all when you apply it to your under eyes, so don't worry about it at all!

One of the claims of this product is that it "helps your eye contour", I personally have no idea what that is....so I will take their word for it. Depending on the day....or well since it is Florida the temperature, I apply this to my eye lid as well as my under eye area. Is it necessary? No. Do I do it? Yes, because I bloody well can. :)
You can kind of see some of the shimmer in the pot, but let me assure you, once you put it on you will not see this at all. It really is quite a lovely gel once you apply it. It does have quite a cooling effect to it when you apply it. It also does soak into the skin quite quickly so you can apply this and then prep for makeup if you are doing it that day!

This is a pricey little pot though. It retails for $32 USD for a tiny pot of 0.68 fl oz. What I will say though it that will last you ages. This is really one of those products where you need the smallest amount for both eyes. What you see on my hand, is actually way too much. I do think that this is fully worth it for the price though! When I was sick, you couldn't tell! This worked bloody wonders on my eye area that it made me love it even more!

What do you think? Something you would invest in?! I definitely will be purchasing a new jar of this once I run out!

The Body Shop At Home Facial Mask Experience(s)! #MultiMasking #DareToMask

Press Sample

Well howdy doody! Today I have something glorious to talk about! I have actually been saving this post until it got closer to the holiday season! We all know that one person who is utterly obsessed with face masks. I was going to share with you the entirety of the collection, packaging and all, but I can't seem to find it on The Body Shop's website. Such a shame! However, I will link to each individual Face mask. :)

The Amazonian Acai Energising Radiance Mask is 100% Vegan. Did that have to be larger than the rest of the text? Yes, yes it did because I wanted the point to be across. This masks main..or key ingredients I guess they would be called is Acai Berry and Guarana Extract and Babassu Oil. This mask does have what I am assuming is the seeds from the acai berry in it, which helps exfoliate your skin and the guarana extract helps to awaken your skin.

When you apply this to your skin, I kid you not, it looks like you went for one of those Kim Kardashian Vampire Facials. Does anyone remember when that was popular? That is no joke, what this reminds me of. The color legit looks like a light layer of blood. Every time I use this, it is all I can think of!

When I wore this, it felt tingly, which I am assuming is from the guarana extract "waking" my skin up. It wasn't bothersome at all, but I did feel that my skin definitely didn't look as dull as it has been looking in the recent weeks.

The Chinese Ginseng & Rice Clarifying Polishing Mask is Paraben Free. This mask is NOT Vegan, so those of you who use only Vegan products, this is not for you unfortunately. The key ingredients in this mask are Rice and Ginseng from China as well as Sesame Seed Oil from Nicaragua. Ginseng is known for having toning properties in it, so I feel that it is perfect to have in a face mask. This mask also has salicylic acid in it, so it is perfect for those of us who have acne.

I am not really sure what the exfoliating aspect of this is, I thought it was the rice, but I saw in the ingredients that it is an extract, so I am not really sure.

I loved this mask! My skin bloody glowed after using this! My skin felt tighter and the one pimple that I did have reduced in size!

The British Rose Fresh Plumping Mask is 100% Vegan. Yes, this is another Vegan mask. The key ingredients are Rose petals, rose essence and Rose hip Oil. You could say that this is a very floral masks. I personally don't think that the scent of this is overwhelming and I am pretty sensitive to rose sensitive products. Floral things are just not my jam.

This is best for those who have dry skin. This replenishes moisture as well as soothes and tones skin. Of course oily skinned people can use it as well! I do!

The Himalayan Charcoal Purifying Glow Mask is 100% Vegan. This is a mud mask so be prepared for it to dry! The key ingredients in this are bamboo charcoal and tea tree oil and green tea leaves from Japan. This is another mask that is perfect for acne prone skin. This does have an exfoliating property so it and it is the green tea leaves. Don't be alarmed because it looks chunky in the jar and you will definitely get leaves on your face!

I feel like this mask kind of has a minty scent to it, but it may be the tea tree oil and I could definitely be mistaking the scent! I do also find that this does make your face feel cooler! When this dries be careful! If you talk or move too much it will definitely start to crack and fall off of your face!

The Ethiopian Honey Deep Nourishing Mask is Paraben Free. Obviously this isn't Vegan because it has honey in it. The key ingredients are honey, olive oil and marula oil. This is another mask that is for hydration, so all of you dry skin gals and lads and or all of you who start getting dry areas when the weather gets cooler, this is for you!

This basically looks like you are wearing a clear mask on your skin, it is pretty translucent. The scent of this is lovely, it isn't overpowering, I think it may be the marula oil but it smells so nice..plus you smell the honey as well!

This definitely does hydrate your skin! I could tell my skin was super hydrated, even though it is oily!

Now, each mask is 3 ounces and retails for $28. I know, cringe worthy! They are totally worth it though! Let's be real right now, you don't need to use a lot of each mask to cover an entire face, I have a pretty large one and I barely had to use any to cover my face. These masks will last you quite a while! These are actually products I would go out and purchase on my own, with my own money..That is actually how much I do like these masks. Heck, even Chris likes them and I can't get him to use a face mask most of the time. When I do get him to wear one, it has to be a Body Shop mask because they are the only ones that he likes. That says something because that man hates putting things on his face.

You may notice that each one does do something different, I mean what is the point of having 5 masks that do the same thing! Well, there really isn't one. The point I am getting at is that The Body Shop designed these to be used separately as well as together. Multi-Masking! Using multiple masks on your face to treat the different areas of your skin! I am sure they are not the first ones to come up with it, but I do like how they have put it together. I have yet to try and multi mask because I would no joke, end up putting all 5 on my face just because I dang well could! ... Heck I should do that! I have a stressful day coming up! I just gave myself a great idea. High Give!

Don't think I am just talking these up because they were sent to me. While I am grateful that The Body Shop sent them to me! If you have been here any length of time then you would know, if I don't like a product I either wont talk about it, or I will give it, its rightful review, I do genuinely love these masks. These would be perfect for a gift to yourself or a gift to a skincare lover that you know!

Have you tried these?! Will you try them?!

Own Skin Health Refining Moisture Night Cream

Hello Lovelies!!

Today's post is a part of my Skincare series. Honestly, I've been slacking hardcore on this! I was supposed to be already finished with this entire series, but with moving and other various things that have been going on, it just got put on the back burner. along with other things. BUT, I am back with a vengeance and my fruity booty is ready to work!

I got this product from iFabbo for free, that fact does NOT change my opinion in anyway. So with that being said this product is available at Ulta and retails for $24.99. Own is a Anti-Aging skin care line that is formulated to work with your own bio-chemistry. (scientific aye?!) I really love that aspect of the products this company makes. This product is a Retinol-free formula. It Does not cause irritation, redness or flakiness. It is Dermatologist-testet, Fragrance-free, Paraben-free, and Sulfate-free. This product is also Cruelty free, gluten free, non-GMO and Vegan. So it the brand itself is pretty sweet.

I've been testing this product out for a few months and while I do like it, I definitely think it would be better suited for someone who has drier skin. I myself have oily skin and since it is getting hotter here in Florida, my skin has been more oily. So for me, this is more of a Winter moisturizer than a Spring/Summer moisturizer. This does NOT free greasy at all and I really love that it sinks into the skin rather quickly. Those are two qualities that I really look for in a moisturizer. I'm not too crazy fond of the smell though which really stinks because it is such a wonderful product. When I put it on at night and woke up, my skin was luminous and felt rejuvenated.

I definitely recommend this if you have more mature skin, or just dryer skin period. For someone who has oily skin, it is definitely a bit heavy for me. Oh! It is worth mentioning that this did not break me out or make my skin flare up in any way, which I also greatly appreciate.

What is on my finger right now, is MORE than enough for my face, it actually could be a little bit too much actually. A little bit of this goes a loooong way.!

You can purchase this on Own's website ownproducts.com or at Ulta.com

DIY Coffee Face Scrub

This is probably going to be one of the most complex face masks that you will ever encounter. The amount of products that you need is just insane. I don't even know why I am telling you all this! It's just.....hah!

I'm kidding, this is probably one of the easiest DIY face masks you will encounter. You only need one thing and that is used coffee grounds. Yeah, that's really it. I am sure that you have see this multiple times before, but my friend Polarbelle suggested me doing a DIY face mask maybe. I"m not going to suggest something that I don't use, so I went for the coffee face scrub/mask thing. Because, why not?
If you don't drink coffee at home, I know at one point Starbucks was either giving their grounds away or they were selling them. I am not sure if they are doing it anymore though. Trying your local coffee shop as well. They could be more than willing to give up their grounds because it's less trash for the to deal with. Or heck, just ask a coffee drinking friend! Luckily for me, my entire family, except for myself, drinks coffee. I always have an over abundance of coffee grounds in the house!
Just take the grounds and apply them to your face. Just slather those bad boys on! Make yourself coffee faced and drink some coffee (or tea). This is really good for your skin. It's best to use in the morning because it will help wake your skin up. Plus, when you're ready to wash it off, it is a mild exfoliator! TWO USES! Blasphemy. But yes, dual use...well really if you can use it for compost as well..So I get that would be multi-use. Good for you and your plants.
I leave this on for 5-10 minutes and wash it off.
Your skin will feel awake, energized and plump. Plump? Well, lets just say your face will feel amazing. I suggest doing this in the morning, because why wake up your skin to just go to bed?! No point in that. Follow this up with your morning skincare routine!
Sidenote: ridiculous faces not needed but thoroughly enjoyed.

Have you ever done a coffee face mask? Would you try one if you haven't?!

Lancôme DreamTone

Press Sample | SheSpeaks

Before I get into the review, I want to say I do have some reservations about typing this for a few good reasons. When applying to be able to review this there were some misinformation in my opinion given about the product. Each "tone" was supposed to be for Fair, Medium and Dark, while that may be true the thing they forgot to tell people were that each one does something different. While they all have the same properties, each one does something the other doesn't. Had I known that I may have picked another "tone" for the specific needs of my skin. Not only that but we were instructed to test this for 30 days, I was only given 25 days as my review had to be up the day I am posting this. So, in reality, I only got to test this for about 23 days, since I am typing this a couple of days early. I wanted to point that out straight at the beginning so you knew. It has always been and will always be my intention to give give a completely accurate review or products regardless of if I have been sent them or if I have purchased them myself. I was raised to be honest when it comes to things like this and I always have been. With all of that being said, let's get into this review.

I didn't really have high hopes for this when I received it in the mail. I didn't look into the product except for the information that I was given. I've tried correcting products before that never worked. There are three different "tones".

The website says:
IMMEDIATELY:• 74% saw glowing skin*
7 DAYS:• 70% noticed a more even skin tone*
4 WEEKS:• 69% saw the appearance of dark spots reduced*
8 WEEKS:• 78% saw color imperfections reduced

Tone 1 - Fair Skin - Corrects the appearance of dark spots, uneven skin tone, dullness and proves specific color correction for the look of redness.

Tone 2 - Medium Skin - Corrects the appearance of dark spots, uneven skin tone, dullness and proves specific color correction for the look of sallowness.
SOURCE
Tone 3 - Dark Skin - Corrects the appearance of dark spots, uneven skin tone, dullness and proves specific color correction for the look of acne and blemish marks.
SOURCE
Ingredients: AQUA / WATER / EAU, CYCLOHEXASILOXANE, PROPYLENE GLYCOL, GLYCERIN, ALCOHOL DENAT., HYDROXYPROPYL TETRAHYDROPYRANTRIOL, SQUALANE, ISOPROPYL LAUROYL SARCOSINATE, POLYSILICONE-11, PEG-10 DIMETHICONE, HYDROXYPHENOXY PROPIONIC ACID, GRIFOLA FRONDOSA FRUITING BODY EXTRACT, CARBOMER, SODIUM HYALURONATE, SODIUM HYDROXIDE, INULIN LAURYL CARBAMATE, ALUMINUM HYDROXIDE, MANNITOL, CHLORELLA VULGARIS EXTRACT, AMMONIUM POLYACRYLDIMETHYLTAURAMIDE / AMMONIUM POLYACRYLOYLDIMETHYL TAURATE, DISODIUM EDTA, DISODIUM STEAROYL GLUTAMATE, HYDROXYETHYLCELLULOSE, CAPRYLOYL SALICYLIC ACID, ACETYL TETRAPEPTIDE-15, ETHYLHEXYL HYDROXYSTEARATE, ACRYLATES COPOLYMER, PHENOXYETHANOL, CHLORPHENESIN, CI 19140 / YELLOW 5, CI 75470 / CARMINE, CI 77163 / BISMUTH OXYCHLORIDE, CI 77891 / TITANIUM DIOXIDE, MICA, GERANIOL, EUGENOL, LIMONENE, CITRONELLOL, BENZYL ALCOHOL, PARFUM / FRAGRANCE

Price: $98 USD for 1.38 Fl Oz

My Thoughts:
This isn't the cheapest correcting product. What I did find odd is how each tone is "designed" for each skintone, but what if you have problems with acne and blemishes and you are a fair skintone. Can you use Tone 3 and vise versa? That's just what I find off about the whole thing, I wish they were clearer about it. The scent of this is very lovely, it's kind of floral but won't kill you if your sensitive to floral scents. It doesn't linger and it dissipates pretty quickly. I use one pump for my entire face, sometimes I'll use a pump and a half, but that really depends on my mood. My skin does look glowing right after I use this. I'm not going to call it a shine, because that would be calling it wrong. I don't really know how to describe it. For someone who is so used to seeing a completely matte face, I kind of enjoy the more "glowing" look, it's nice.  As for seeing my skin tone looking more even, not really so much. My forehead is a bit darker then the rest of my face (weird) but it does look a little bit more even, but not by much. Now most of my pictures that I take, I RARELY have foundation on because I just don't feel the need for it. That is beside the point I'm trying to make. I have a really red chin, I don't know why, but I do. I'm really surprised that the redness in my chin has really gone away. It's not COMPLETELY gone, but I think maybe with continued use it will. Do I have high hopes that the redness will completely go away? No, not really. All in all, I do think this is a good product, but it's not something that I would go out and spend the $98 for. That's just me though. I'm not 100% convinced with it, especially since I really needed Tone 3 for acne and blemish marks. But it is what it is.

Before: See what I mean about my forehead being a slightly darker color than the rest of my face. Then the redness in my chin and a few other places.

After: Excuse the couple of acne marks. Both pictures were day in natural lighting. As you can see the greatest majority of the redness is gone, especially in my chin.Woo for that :D

I kind of want to try the Clinique Dark Spot Corrector, or whatever it's called to see how it compares to this. I've heard the Clinique was better, but only time and the future will tell.

güd by Burts Bee's Klout Box

So shuffling through all of the pictures my "mystery box" came in today. (Ive been talking about it on Twitter)

I want to start off by giving the disclaimer. On the card that we were given, it tells us that if we decide to talk about this product they would like us to add this disclaimer:  I was given a free product or sample because I'm a Klout influencer. I am under no obligation to receive the sample or talk about this company. I got no additional benefits for talking about the product or company.

So, when I talk about these 3 products that I got from Klout, I will add that. :) When I buy more, I will let you know!

Now this is just going to be a first impressions review. Yes, I have used all three of these products. And by the way, I purposely took not so well pictures, I want to wait till I do my do my actual review to take some sexy ones! (haha)

[slideshow]

So there ya go! The box is freaking huge! Holy crap, when the UPS woman banged on the door, I nearly fell out of my chair because it scared the crap out of me! I didn't even see UPS pull up first. lol

Now, As you can tell, Anya likes the box too! haha, she just can't have it. >)

I didn't edit the pictures because I wanted them raw and unedited. Why? I have no idea!

I will do my full review soon! By the way, I thought I published this WEEKS AGO, but I guess that is not the case. So here it is now :)

Clean Start by Dermalogica Wash Off

The Clean Start line is more geared towards teens who are acne prone. Now I am 21 years old and I first got the clean start kit, which you can buy at cleanstart.dermalogica.com and it is $35. Now that is a heafty price tag for skin care, even with all of them being travel sized. The reason I decided to look into the Clean start line was because of Kandee Johnson. I saw her talking about a couple of their products and I decided I would take the dive and try it. Originally I was supposed to get the Breakout Trio, which is the same price, but you get 3 full sized products, but the wrong one was ordered, which was okay. I am actually happy with the travel sized ones, because then I got to try them, so I knew how they would react on my skin.

What comes in the kit is welcome matte spf 15 / bedtime for breakouts / ready, set, scrub / wash off / all over clear. It also comes with a sample of brighten up spf15. Im glad that it came with the welcome matte, because I have oily skin and it would have suited me better! :)

Now, for the full sized products, these have a HEAFTY price tag, that I will not lie about. In all honestly, it kills me a little bit when I have to repurchase them. (I will get to the prices in a bit.) When I got the travel size, you would have thought that it would take me not that long to use it, but that little bitty bottle took me a couple months, which was pretty awesome, so I don't really mind spending that much money, because with the face wash, I use a little bit of it and I know that it will last me a long while! This product you can use on your face, back and chest. So its a multipurpose face wash! HOW awesome! :D
This is what Dermlogica's site says "This foaming wash clears up dead skin cells and extra oils to clean deep, banishing breakouts from your face, back… or wherever."

Now when I use the wash off , I don't really feel it foaming, but thats okay with me honestly, I don't need to feel the foaming action to know its working!!
So you can tell that I don't really mind shelling out the money for it, because I know it will last a while. The only reason there is a huge chunk of the face wash is gone from my bottle is because my cat knocked it down and the top came off and a bunch spilled out. Twas a sad day!

I have been using this for about the past 5-6 months. So I know I can do a proper review of it. ^_^

I honestly don't wash my face EVERY night. I know what you are thinking, omg ew, gross! Or what not, but my skin is so weird, if I wash it every day, it breaks out. So yeah, say what you wish. And my skin actually does not get as gross as you think it does when not washing. Anyways, thats away from my point. lol

This is a clear face wash, it does have a light scent that does not stay on your skin for very long. Well, it doesn't stay on your skin at all and you can't smell it, unless you actually go and smell it. Which I did, because I am me. Its clear and kind of thick, not thick like a gel though. It has a wonderful consistency and a little goes a lot way. It depends on how dirty my face feels, I could use the smallest amount that I could (dime size) or I use a little more (dime and a half) So not a lot at all! So you can already tell this will last a pretty long time for me! :D

You are supposed to use this face wash in the A.M. and P.M. . I chose when my face feels the dirtiest honestly. So I either use it in the morning or at night. If I wear makeup I use something else to wash my face. :) I really do love this product. When I use this I can feel my face being clean. It doesn't feel dirty or oily. Its soft and just.. its hard to explain just exactly what I mean. I really recommend this face wash honestly! There is just something about it that works wonderfully with my skin. Its also helped to heal some of my acne scarring from when I was a Sophomore in high school, its even helped reduce redness! Now it does not say that it is supposed to do it, but it honestly has helped! I just really love this product!

Now to the pricing. Its $20 for 6 fl oz or 180 mL. So yeah, it is pretty expensive, but for the amount you use, its worth it.
Dermalogica's site also says this "Salicylic Acid dives deep to help clear trapped oils and breakout-causing bacteria. Botanical extracts help regulate oil production. Orange Peel Oil revives, energizes, and refreshes.

Have you tried the wash off?! Let me know down in the comments! I would LOVE to hear your opinions on it!!
