Paula Dorf Perfect Color in Ecstasy

Press Sample / Brandbacker

Paula Dorf is a company that I've been interested in for a while because I think they have some of the prettiest stuff and I love their packaging!

The Paula Dorf Perfect Color is a multi-use product, it can be used on the eyes, lips and cheeks. This product is similar to Nars The Multiple but is about $7 cheaper then Nars.

I don't know about you but I am such a sucker for multi-purpose products, if I can use it on more than one place I'm happy. It just makes makeup application go quicker.
I love that on the packaging it says "Become your own makeup artist".
As per the packaging, it's rubberized so..I'm sure you can tell that mine is a wee bit dirty and that's just from using it twice. It's more or less from dust I think then anything.. Rubberized packaging is a bit hard to keep clean because it attracts everything.

Ecstasy is a light pink with some gold shimmer in it. Thankfully when you apply this to where ever you decide to apply it, it's not crazy glitter, discoball-ish on your face. I didn't see any shimmer on my face when I applied it.
What I really like is that you can build it up to be a gorgeous pink of you can wear it sheer to just give you a kiss of pink.
Above is what the product looks like built up on my hand..actually it wasn't super built up, just two swipes. You can tell that it is a pretty pigmented product on it's own. However as you can see in the picture below, it's not too crazy looking on the eye. That was me building it up with a brush, which didn't work at all and it was synthetic fibered...then I used a CLEAN finger and tried to pat it on and it just wasn't working. What I think is that if you do intend to wear this on your eye, wear a base color under it, whether it be a white or a color of a similar shade. I will say that with this just being over top a eye shadow primer with some brown in the crease it looked nice, it looks sloppy here BUT it did last quite a while and I didn't experience any creasing.

Here you can see the PC in Ecstasy in all of it's glory on the lips. I have to say that this is probably my favorite way to wear this product! This is such a light and perfect color for me and that is coming from someone who doesn't wear colored lip products. This went on very easy, was creamy, smooth, obviously pigmented and it lasted quite a while on the lips.
I added this onto my cheeks because well...it's also made for putting on your cheeks! I lightly dabbed it on my cheeks and blended it out. I probably would have added more because I feel that you can't really see it in all it's magnificence. This was easy to apply on the cheeks and it actually gave me such a nice color, that I didn't feel dead looking. Now, I will also say that this is coming from a person who has worn blush like...four times in her life IF THAT.

In the end I do think that this is a bloody fantastic multi-use product. I've definitely used it quite a few times and I'm in love with it. I actually want to own all of the colors that Paula Dorf has, they all look stunning.

Honey Bunny Lacquer - Falling In & Out Of Love

Purchased Myself

How are you all doing?! I've been so uninspired lately, which is why I've not posted.

Today I have a Honey Bunny Lacquer for you. This particular one is from Deb's Anti-Valentines Day collection.

Falling In & Out Of Love is a matte bubblegum pink polish with purple and blue mirco shimmer in it.
You can get full coverage with 2-3 coats, which is what I used.
This polish dried pretty dang fast, which was amazing too me! The only other brand that I've had dry as fast as FI&OOL was the China Glaze holographic polishes.
All of the above pictures are WITHOUT TOP COAT.  This is a mini size, which was $3.50. The full sized retails for $7, which still isn't bad but when you're on a budget, go for the Mini! :P
This polish is absolutely gorgeous in it's natural self, all matte and sexy, but wait until you see it with a top coat!
Look at that gorgeous shimmer! This polish is gorgeous either way, I definitely love the look of it matte though!
You know I couldn't end this post without doing one of my bottle shots! :P

What do you think?! Is this a polish you would buy? I definitely recommend it, if you're wanting a gorgeous bubblegum pink!

You can purchase this polish on Honey Bunny Lacquer's Etsy

Zoya Gie Gie

Hey everyone!

Today I have Zoya's Gie Gie for you today!

This polish is from their 2013 Spring Lovely collection.
I do want to mention that I did have to color correct these a little bit to make them more accurate.

This is the 3rd Zoya I have ever tried and honestly, I'm not a fan of the formula of this polish. Now, it's not how all of their polishes are, this one in particular is just on the thicker side, so it makes it a little bit more difficult to work with.
This polish is a gorgeous bubble gum pink with silver shimmer. I really love this polish, but like I said the formula makes me not want to use it.

Has anyone else experience this polish as being thick or was it just me? I've got other Zoya's that are absolutely fantastic and I wouldn't trade them for anything, but this one is a little undesirable

FOTD #6 2.0!

Hello everyone!

In my post earlier I said that I was going to update that FOTD because I hated it. Hated is an understatement, after I put up the blog post it came right off!

For this version, I changed only one thing. I changed what I used for the pink and that is it! I definitely like how this one came out a lot more than the previous one.

FOTD #6 (1.0)

Hello everyone!

I'm calling this FOTD 1.0 because I really dislike how this turned out. I think I am going to try it again later, but with different eye shadows and hope it comes out looking better. So, don't be surprised if you see an updated one later!

April 2013 Ipsy Bag

Hello everyone!

It's the time of the month again, Ipsy!

This months theme was "Pretty In Pink". Now, I for one have never been insanely crazy for pink, but I do wear pink nail polish etc. For me, this bag was not anything to crazy, the thing that I was most excited for was the nail polish. I've never had anything from the brand before and was pretty damn excited. For this bad there were two either or products and the nail polish there were two colors being sent out.

Tweets Nail Polish Review (Updated(

Hello Hello!
I purchased these with my OWN money

Tweets Cosmetics is a new nail polish brand that has recently come out and at the present moment is exclusive to Walmart. My Walmart didn't have their display set up, it seriously just had the trays of nail polishes sitting on a shelf, I really wouldn't have noticed them if I weren't in the isle getting nail polish remover. That's how out of the way my Walmart has them. (shame on you Walmart. Shame)
The names of these nail polishes are all basically tweet & text shorthand. Not gonna lie, I only knew what a few of them meant. I had to go online and find their website to find out the names of the polishes! I think it might be a little helpful if what they mean was under the names. For two of them in particular. They look like they would be gorgeous jelly polishes, but that's not the case. I'll get to that in a minute though!
