BFTE Cosmetics I Believe..... Collections

PR Sample

Kimberly was kind enough to send me a few samples from BOTH of her Christmas collections! I was so excited to try them out because I've been nothing but impressed with the BFTE shadows that I've purchased. I'm going to show you swatches of the shadows that she sent me and I can't wait!!

Kimberly is doing something really neat for those who are trying to watch their holiday spending (or are just plain on a budget) You can purchase the full size collections or she has them in sample sizes as well! I absolutely LOVE that she is doing that! I will link both full size and sample at the end of the post!

Up first from the I Believe.....In Santa collection ;;

I Believe

This shadow is described as "A shimmery gold shadow with flashes of white; like a hot, white gold"

I do agree with the description! This shadow is very light and while I couldn't build it up to the opacity of the swatch on the website (then again I didn't try) I wanted to savor it in all it's beauty how you see it. This shadow is very light, but it can be built up as well as you could use it for highlighting your inner corner or if you're feeling brave...under your brow!

Jolly Old Elf

This shadow is described as A sleigh-load of silver and multi-color micro sparkles within a dark silver base.

This shadow made me think of a charcoal silver. I will warn you, when she says there is a "sleigh-load" of micro sparkles she means it! This is one of those shadows that you would be better using something under your eyes when you apply it because the glitter will go EVERYWHERE. It's probably best not to wear what you're planning to go out in because you will be covered in shimmer! Not that there is anything wrong with it! This shadow is seriously so gorgeous!

From the I Believe.....In Reindeer collection;;

8 Tiny Reindeer

This shadow is described as a matte brown
I can tell you that, that description is 100% true. I have a soft spot in my heart for matte browns and this one just takes the whole cake! This makes me think of milk chocolate or well a reindeer's coat of fur. It's just a stunning shadow! I can see me getting quite a lot of use out of this!

Diamond

There really isn't a description of diamond but I will tell you that it is a STUNNING shimmery white shadow. It's a definitely must have!

All of the shadows with the exception of 8 Tiny Reindeer are chock full of sparkles so I would definitely keep an eye out for the sparkle fall out! Other than that each of the shadows apply smoothly and like butta. I had no problems swatching or blending the shadows on out my arms. Unfortunately I haven't put together a look for you quite yet but when I do I shall post it!

There is an extra little treat though that Kimberly is giving away! Those who order the full-size “Santa” set will receive Coal in their order, and those who order the full-size “Reindeer” set will receive Diamonds in their order.

Now I don't have coal to show you but you can see it on Painted Ladies as well as she has swatches of both collections. Santa / Reindeer

I Believe In Santa - Full Sized $22 / Sample $10
I Believe In Reindeer - Full Sized $22 / Sample $10

BFTE Cosmetics Pumpkin Everything! Collection

Hello everyone! I hope you all are doing well! Now before I get too much farther into this post, I do want to say that this collection is unfortunately NOT available anymore, but Kim does currently have TWO Halloween collections that I think you should check out. Amityville House & The Shining

The Pumpkin Everything! collection retailed for $25 and was a complete steal for all 4 eye shadows! These are/were my first eye shadows ever from BFTE Cosmetics and you know because I love anything Pumpkin (seriously it's a weird obsession of mine) and because you know the whole Autumn/Fall dealio..needless to say I HAD to have it! I also had this amazing idea to put the shadows in holes of a pumpkin...well my not so steady hand kind of butchered the holes and I think that it looks really bad D: Booo

Swatches will be at the end of the post

Pumpkin EVERYTHING! is a sparkly orange color.

I do have to say that this has to be the perfect sparkly orange for this collection. I love wearing this on it's own with a primer as well as foiled. The color reminds me of the inside of a pumpkin instead of the intense orange that is on the outside.

Pumpkin Patch - Dusty lime green with lime glitter

When thinking of anything related to pumpkins, I usually think darker greens and well, darker-ish colors. Honestly though I love with light/lime green better than a darker green! I feel that it fits in with the entire collection as a whole better!

Pumpkin Glow -  Pinky/Peach

This shadow does tend to lean more on the pinky side of the peachy/pink. This also does have an iridescent tendency look to it. It's pretty sheer, but it's extremely gorgeous none the less!

Pumpkin Spice - Russet colored with gold and copper sparkles

This is the PERFECT color to finish this collection out! Obviously it's gorgeous in the crease, but this shadow stands out on the lid as well. I love that this is a reddish-brown color that has gorgeous sparkles and sometimes can look like it has a little maroon in it. I really do this this color!

In a whole, I think this collection is gorgeous and I've LOVED using all of the individual shades. The shadows really compliment each other nicely! I have no issues with these creasing on me or fading during the day, they are buttery smooth and blend very well. If all BFTE shadows are like this, then I need them all!

L-R; Pumpkin Spice - Pumpkin EVERYTHING! - Pumpkin Patch - Pumpkin Glow

Here I've swatched the shadows over Too Faced Shadow Insurance.

Here are the shadows foiled using Graftobian Magic Set Mixing & Lining Liquid*.

I wanted to show the shadows regular over primer as well as foiled without the use of primer. Just look at those beauties!

I purchased the above mentioned eye shadows with my own money. The Graftobian Magic Set was provided for free

Cult Nails - In A Trance

Purchased Myself

I feel kind of bad showing you this polish only because you can't purchase it anymore. At the same time I don't feel bad because it is such a gorgeous polish and deserves to be shared with the world!

In A Trance is a olive green with a ton of ton of orange/red, green and yellow shimmer. This has a lighter green, almost gold undertone too it that is absolutely captivating!
The polish is shown using only TWO coats and no top coat. I can't even begin to describe too you how shiny this polish is on it's own. With this polish, you can skip the top coat 100%. the above picture is also true to color.

See how shiny it is?! You can see the lightbulb in my lamp pretty dang clearly!

The formula on this polish is pretty stellar. You only need 2-3 coats of this polish depending on then length of your nails or how thick you apply this polish. I also had minimal cleanup... actually I had almost no cleanup! This is the PERFECT consistency! It doesnt flood the cuticles and it levels out itself without having to work with it.

You KNOW I can't leave this blog post go without my side shot! :P
This has quickly become one of my favorite angles to take pictures of a polish! Only, it's a wee bit better when there isn't a light bulb covering most of the nail! :P I typically swatch during the day but work was hell and I wanted to get pictures of this polish before I did some dots over top!

I will be showing the dotticure that I did over top either later this week or next week depending on when I get to uploading the picutres!

What do you think of this polish?! I definitely think it needs to be brought back! :P *hint hint* Bahah.

Honey Bunny Lacquer Love Hate Love

purcahsed myself

Today's post was supposed to be makeup related but I have to re-swatch a few things before I can put it up, but it should be up soon! I do want to make a note that you can see how much of a toll that wearing the false nails have taken on my hands. I've not worn them in a week or so and I'm still struggling to get my hands and my nails back to being healthy. Or at least into a presentable fashion. I've not even painted my nails and that's sad. So do excuse the fact of just how gross my hands look right now.

Honey Bunny Lacquer's Love Hate Love is from the Anti-Valentine's Day collection.
Love Hate Love is a glitter topper with matte white & black and red holo microglitter; white dots, matte white and red holo hexes; red micro slices; and red and black matte and red holo hearts.
All swatches shown over HBL Love Hurts
Now I purchased the Mini bottle, so what I'm going to say could be totally different if you purchase the regular size. I had to fish the hearts out of the bottle or I had to take them off of the wand portion. I only managed to get 4 hearts out of the bottle and those are the 4 you see currently.

See, no hearts. I'm totally okay with it because it makes the mani itself a little more unique. While I do wish I could have gotten more than the 4 hearts out. The formula itself is a little thick as well, but it's very manageable. You don't need to sponge this on at all. I didn't have to go back into the bottle to get more on the brush, that is how much that comes out. I don't mind that this polish is thick because you do NOT have to work to get a good coverage except for getting the hearts but once again like I said up above I have the mini bottle so you could have a different experience with this polish then I did. I still love this polish and definitely am going to covet it!

You KNOW I had to do an artsy fartsy picture for you!

You can purchase Love Hate Love HERE. The full size retails for $7.00 and the Mini retails for $3.00

Honey Bunny Lacquer - Falling In & Out Of Love

Purchased Myself

How are you all doing?! I've been so uninspired lately, which is why I've not posted.

Today I have a Honey Bunny Lacquer for you. This particular one is from Deb's Anti-Valentines Day collection.

Falling In & Out Of Love is a matte bubblegum pink polish with purple and blue mirco shimmer in it.
You can get full coverage with 2-3 coats, which is what I used.
This polish dried pretty dang fast, which was amazing too me! The only other brand that I've had dry as fast as FI&OOL was the China Glaze holographic polishes.
All of the above pictures are WITHOUT TOP COAT.  This is a mini size, which was $3.50. The full sized retails for $7, which still isn't bad but when you're on a budget, go for the Mini! :P
This polish is absolutely gorgeous in it's natural self, all matte and sexy, but wait until you see it with a top coat!
Look at that gorgeous shimmer! This polish is gorgeous either way, I definitely love the look of it matte though!
You know I couldn't end this post without doing one of my bottle shots! :P

What do you think?! Is this a polish you would buy? I definitely recommend it, if you're wanting a gorgeous bubblegum pink!

You can purchase this polish on Honey Bunny Lacquer's Etsy

Ellagee Orange Blossom Special Cuticle Oil

Press Sample

This review was supposed to be up two days ago, shame on me. I have a good excuse though, I got sick again and it's pretty bad! I've got to get some more cough medicine though so that is on my agenda for the rest of the day. Anyways, let's get into this review!!
(6+ hours later I am finally getting a chance to finish this. Fail on my part :( I hate being sick!)

Ellagee was kind enough to send me a sample of her cuticle oil to test out for two weeks. There is an unscented version for those who prefer non to extremely light scented products. This does contain nut oil so those will nut allergies might want too stay away. I will have a FULL ingredient list at the end of the post.

My Nephew LOVES the bottle by the way, and I do as well, but since this is just the sample I'm okay with it not having a label. It would be VERY hard to label, in fact there was actually a label on the bottom and it didn't want too stay. It's not anyone's fault though. :)  In my before picture (below) I know my cuticles don't look too bad, but let me tell you my hands were put through some rough stuff for those two weeks! Being in the cooler at work for 3 hours straight and not being able to moisturize my hands or cuticles was heck, pure heck. I actually wound up tearing a cuticle boo!
The cuticle oil does have a rollerball and I was a tad bit apprehensive about it at first because I do have another oil and it leaks straight through the rollerball itself! BUT BUT the Ellagee cuticle oil doesn't. This is definitely safe to toss in your purse and carry it around with you!
Now, for two weeks I changed up how I moisturized my cuticles. I used this and only this. Not only did I see a vast improvement in my cuticles, but I saw an improvement in my nails as well! Despite the fact that my nails are extremely short right now, my hands looks a whole lot better than they originally did in the above picture! I used this multiple times a day and I had fantastic results!

Scent wise, this to me is very mildly scented. My Mom tried this out for a few days and she is extremely sensitive to scents and this didn't bother her at all, in fact she loves the scent of it. You definitely can smell the citrus aspect of this with an undertone of the honeysuckle. It's purely divine!
Ingredients: Jojoba Oil, Shea Nut Oil, Grapeseed Oil, Vitamin E Oil, Sweet Orange Oil, Honeysuckle Oil and Tea Tree Oil.

This isn't quite for sale on Ellagee just yet because of a label issue, but it should be for sale soon, so definitely keep an eye out for it because it's amazing! I'll definitely be getting another bottle once mine is empty!

NOTD Featuring Ellagee Rainbow Syrup

PR Sample/Purchased Myself

You know when you're super excited about something that you can't contain it?! Let me tell you, I'm still extremely excited over this polish!

For my base I used Venique Dominating Thigh Highs and Cult Nails Grunge for an accent.
I topped each nail with Ellagee's Rainbow Syrup. This polish is gorgeous in the bottle, but it absolutely POPS over a dark nail polish.
Look at that sexy ass linear holo. No joke, I was really bummed and actually upset when I took this off. Mind you I wore it for about 3-4 days.
Look at that Rainbow as well.
We shant even talk about what this polish makes me want to do LOL
I'm just going to leave you with this

Bahah I hope there will be an extension to it because I am HOOKED!!

PRESS RELEASE from Cult Nails™
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

…She dreamed of the day when she would find him, the one.  And find him, she did.  He passed her in the park on her morning walk.  She'd been watching him as he approached.  With his head down and his hands in his pockets, he hadn't given her so much as a glance.  But there he was, the absolute man of her dreams.  His stride was flawless and graceful, but manly.  His build was average but he carried himself with confidence, not cockiness.  And his eyes.  Oh his eyes!  When he looked up to apologize for almost bumping into her, she could feel his eyes looking deeper into her soul than she ever thought possible.  His stare was intense.  Heart stopping.  Lethal.  That was the moment.  The feeling his gaze left her with was enough to ignite her passion.  Then she felt it.  The pounding in her heart.  Her breathing became shallow and quick.  Her senses were exploding at the thought of him simply speaking to her.  Then, it happened.  She looked back at him and their eyes met once more.  It was undeniable; but as quickly as he approached, he continued on, blending in with the background until he was eventually out of sight.

CULT NAILS™ brings you the PASSIONATE DREAMS collection.  With names like LETHAL, IGNITE, ANGEL WHISPERS, and KISS, this collection brings emotions of desire, lust, and passion, and the colors are no exception.

(Mmph! Makes you want to read more right!?)

Passionate Dreams

I'm going to put the names of the colors and the descriptions of them, but once again to see swatches you're going to have to check her blog out! (I like a little mystery)

LETHAL:  Like staring into your lover's eyes, you won't be able to look away when this silver foil is on your tips.
IGNITE: Blending a black jelly base with silver glitter, it's like closing your eyes for that first kiss, and seeing stars.  Ignite is pure passion fuel.

ANGEL WHISPERS:  A soft, pale pink crème provides the base color for this texture polish.  Even though the finish may feel slightly rough, its color and signature Cult Nails™ shimmer create a softening effect reminiscent of an Angel's wings.

KISS:  No love story is complete without a kiss.  Crafted to invoke emotions of lust and desire, Kiss is a vibrant red that dries to a wax-like finish.

PRE-SALE DATES:  January 17-31, 2014.  The 4 piece set will sell only as a collection during the pre-sale time for $35.00.  Remaining colors, if any, will be sold individually beginning February 15, 2014 and will retail for $12.00 each.

Okay, I'm seriously in love with this collection! I can't wait to start seeing more swatches floating around! Hopefully I get paid before the collection goes on pre-sale because I'm so in love with this collection! So. Much. Want!

Lacquer Convention Pop Tart

Hello everyone!

Today's polish for you is one that I received from Galactic Lacquer as part of a giveaway prize I had won a couple months back. Lacquer Convention is a Indie brand that is on Etsy. This is my first time trying anything from her and I have to say, I really love this nail polish!

Pop Tart is described as a sheer white jelly based polish that is packed with multi-sized rainbow of hexagon glitter.

I definitely wouldn't consider this a "white" polish. In my opinion it's more a creamy kind of color? Yes, it does come out looking white the more you build it up BUT it definitely reminds you of the pastry part of a pop tart.
Side note, DON'T try and eat this, even though it looks totally scrumptious !! (lol)

This is one of those polishes, since it's a jelly it can either be built up or worn sheer. This is 3 thin coats. For this, I definitely would suggest an undie. You don't even have to use a white undie. Girl get CREATIVE! I can't wait to play with this more!
Unfortunately, I'm not sure how much this nail polish retails for, but definitely check out Lacquer Convention's Etsy page!
