NOTD Featuring Ellagee Rainbow Syrup

You know when you're super excited about something that you can't contain it?! Let me tell you, I'm still extremely excited over this polish! 

For my base I used Venique Dominating Thigh Highs and Cult Nails Grunge for an accent.

I topped each nail with Ellagee's Rainbow Syrup. This polish is gorgeous in the bottle, but it absolutely POPS over a dark nail polish. 

Look at that sexy ass linear holo. No joke, I was really bummed and actually upset when I took this off. Mind you I wore it for about 3-4 days.

Look at that Rainbow as well. 

We shant even talk about what this polish makes me want to do LOL

Job Interview NOTD

I so tooted my own horn today, then quickly wished I didn't! I've not been posting as often as I would like too and that's what I tooted about. Bah you live and learn. Anyways.

I had a job interview at Torrid today and I didn't get a decent shot of what I wore, but let me tell you. I regret the button up that I wore because it gave me NO shape. All of my clothes are from when I was less than confident and wore extremely baggy clothing. Needless too say, I've been on the hunt for affordable clothes that actually don't make me look like a giant box or a slob. It's slow going since I don't get many hours from Hess.All of that aside, lets jump into what you are here for!

I decided to kind of go "out of the box" and do something kind of "edgy" or what would be considered edgy for a job interview.

Let me just say that I don't like these nails. They don't fit right at all. they're the KISS Short Square ones. The bottom is square instead of rounded which is kind of ridiculous, that's why my cuticles look so funky. Le sigh. Again live and learn.

I used China Glaze Strap On Your Moonboots

I also attempted to do a gradient which I am sure you can tell was a complete fail. For that I used China Glaze OMG A UFO.

I used Rock top coat to seal the polish and too make it shine-ay which I know we all love.

It looks okay but it's something I'm not impressed with. I would have redone them completely if this was already the second time trying too do them. What do you think?!

Mint Chocolate Interlocking dots

Hey everyone! I hope you are doing well!!

This manicure isn't what I originally planned but I'm totally not used too long nails and I had an insane time trying too get the striping tape straight!! I don't know how you ladies do it, seriously I applaud you all!

My base for all of my nails is Nubar Green Silver Glitter. That's across ALL nails.

I used Cult Nails Spontaneous and taped off a triangle (not a straight one you LOL) You can kind of see the pink shimmer in Spontaneous, but I think it tones down the holographic, can't keep your eyes off of your nails look of GSG.

TADA!

To create the dotticure, I first taped off the section that I wanted to paint with Nubar Jewel. After I painted the section I let it dry slightly then started doing the dots! You definitely don't have too tape off the section though I didn't with my right hand. :P #rebel I'm sure there are tutorials out there on how to create an interlocking dot mani, but I can always do a tutorial if you would like... It's really really easy.

I seriously LOVE how this turned out, it kind of reminds me of chocolate ice cream dripping... Is that weird? Did I just make you want ice cream?! :P On my ring finger I used striping tape to create the sunburst. The hardest part was to get the vertical line straight down the middle, then it was a walk in the park.
I topped the entire mani off with Glisten & Glow HK Girl Top Coat

I love this mani seriously. What do you think?!

All  of the polishes were purchased by me with my own money with the exception of G&G HK Girl Topcoat.

Spontaneous Shatter!

Hey everyone!

*shields self* I've really let myself down the past couple of weeks and I am sure I have let you all down as well! I'm sure you've noticed that I've not been blogging much, I'm not going to go into details about the reasoning. It has nothing to do with blogging or anything online, it's all just personal stuff that has been going on. I've not really been on twitter either. I've just become disconnected from everything it's kind of depressing. I do have a couple makeup reviews coming up and another special review. I'm super excited about them all, but have just not been feeling up to much lately.I'm supposed to be doing a nail art challenge but you see how far that has gotten right?! I am going to work on it this coming week though! I promise!! I'm super Lame right? Le sigh, tis life though!

Unfortunately I tried to photograph this manicure so so many times and unlucky for me I could only get ONE decent picture, the rest were blurry or just pure crap. SO I do have only one picture of it, but I actually REALLY like this mani, it's cute.

I know crackles are out, but I just got my grubby hands on some of OPI's Shatter polishes a couple weeks ago at Big Lots for $1 so, trends begone I'm gonna use them! :P

On the ring finger it's a polish I made myself from 2 Color Club metallic foil polishes.

I put Wet n Wild Kaleidoscope on top of that.

I think it looks cute. Unfortunately this is the only picture I got and it's still not a fantastic picture. I am in the process of reshaping my nails so please excuse them being a nasty mess.

Nubar Green/Silver Glitter

 
Hello Darlings!

Before I even get into this post, please excuse my cuticles. I had done some hard yard work earlier in the day, which included digging up a palm tree. If you know anything about palm trees you know they are a complete pain in the tucka to dig up because their roots go really far down. AND since it had been raining for the past week the ground was still sopping wet, I wound up digging through mud. So you can tell, it was totally fun... I actually had fun doing it hah, but really it took me about 30-45 minutes trying to dig up the roots to get it out! Then I had to cut roots from another tree.. okay see, off topic. Let's get back onto why you are here!

Nubar's Green/Silver Glitter (unique name no?) was one of the polishes that I picked up from Premiere Orlando. I just HAD to have it, I knew if I didn't purchase it I would have regretted it instantly. Let me just say, now that is it on my nails I am so glad I did!
Look at how absolutely gorgeous this polish is!

You can see just how packed this is with green and silver glitter, not to mention the sheer amount of holographic glitter! It's all finely milled so it doesn't leave you with that textured effect, which is nice.

I wanted to capture the silver aspect of this polish, because it can get a little lost BUT it does appear depending on how you hold your hands in the light, which is nice!

The one thing I definitely love about this polish is the fact that is looks like it is JUMPING off of your nails! It is that sparkly and holographic. No lie. You have to buy this for yourself just to be able to see it. The jumping off of your nails aspect of it, wouldn't capture in pictures or video. *sad face*

This is a scattered holographic polish, but it does look linear in the bottle, but it's not when you put it on the nails, which I don't mind. It would be gorgeous if it was linear anyways.

This is 3 coats over OPI Nail Envy Nail Strengthener with two coats of Nubar Diamont Seal & Top coat.
Since this is a glitter polish, it isn't that easy to remove. I would suggest doing the glue thing that people are doing (?) I've never tried it but people keep telling me about it. I just take it off by wrapping my finger in aluminum foil, with a cotton ball soaked in remover of course.

I know this video is totally out of focus but it was the only way to capture the complete awesomeness of it. And I still wasn't able to capture it all! (I forgot to turn my phone sideways to make it full screen... can you tell it's the first time I used the camera? Lol)

I really love this nail polish like I said before, it is absolutely fantastic! and so gorgeous!

Sidenote, I was going to do this as a comparison post with ORLY Sparkling Garbage, but I did not get one good picture of Sparkling Garbage earlier when I was taking pictures and I lost sunlight. BUT I can tell you that Sparkling Garbage is a darker green polish, it is also more linear than GSG is. I love both of them.

Twinking Steel Toe Stud - Venique

Hello everyone!

I had asked on Twitter which I should post about first Venique or another ORLY MegaPixel and Venique won the majority so here we are! I do feel bad about doing this post, since Venique isn't readily available to the public.. well let me rephrase that, I just found it on Amazon, so I don't feel AS bad. But if you are a beauty professional you can find these at Cosmoprof. I do want to warn you, I'm not too fond of the pictures. I have been having the biggest issue with my camera. I've been using my Dad's for my nail posts because mine wont focus at all. I definitely hope you all love this mani as much as I do! I also want to say sorry for the state of my hands/cuticles. They've been so dry but I've been doing some pretty heavy yard work so they are pretty tore up right now. I am trying to get them looking decent though!

Steel Toe Stud is a grey creme polish that has a distinctive purple undertone to it. I'm looooving grey polishes like this! Me gusta mucho! Anypoodle.

Twinkling Glitter is a hexagon holographic glitter. When I saw this polish I couldn't pass it up!!! 

Bevin's Sparkling Garbage!

Hola everyone!

I hope you are having an amazing Thursday! Here where I am in Florida, it's been raiiiiny as heck! I'm enjoying it though! Even when it's gross and cloudy here I can still get nice pictures! *high five*

For this nail look I used Zoya's Bevin and ORLY's Sparkling Garbage.

China Glaze Strap On Your Moonboots

Hello Lovelies! 

Before I even bother to get into this post, I want to say ignore my cuticles like they aren't even there. They were doing SO GOOD and looking nice for once, then we went bowling.. -_- Bowling is h.e.l.l. on cuticles, on both of my hands, my cuticles were even bleeding. Ugh. 

Enough aboot that!

Strap On Your Moonboots is the polish that I was the MOST disappointed with in my last haul post. In the bottle it isn't that crazy of a holographic polish, but on the nails it's not as bad. The holographic-ness of the polish comes out a bit more but it's still faint. It kind of reminds me of those holographic cards from the 90s. :P 

If you have never tried any of China Glaze's holographic polishes then I will fill you in a bit on their formula. This formula is exactly the same as their Tronica collection from 2011. The formula is VERY thin, it wont flood your cuticles, but it will dry very quickly. That is one thing I do happen to love about the holographic's is how quickly they dry. Typically you only need 2 coats, 3 at the most.

Nail Polish Haul!

Hey everyone!

When I BOUGHT all of these polishes earlier, I was EXTREMELY excited to finally get my hands on a few new China Glaze and ORLY polishes. After I got home, I looked up swatches (I went into Sally's not knowing what I wanted) and I realized how extremely underwhelmed I was at the China Glaze nail polishes that I bought. :( 

This Holographic polish from China Glaze (Strap On Your Moon Boots) I realized this was going to be the polish that I was MOST disappointed in. When I first picture the bottle up, I knew it wasn't that holographic, but I figured the swatches would be different. I looked  up a few different bloggers and it's subtle. If you remember China Glaze's Tronica collection from 2011, THOSE are way way more holographic then this entire collection is.
