Top 5 Favorite Neutral Drugstore Eye Shadows

Purchased Myself

Hello everyone! This is a post that I have been kind of putting off for a while, for no particular reason. I figured, heck it's about time that I do this post!
I wanted to chat about a few of my favorite drugstore eye shadows. I wanted to do my favorite drugstore shadows first because I have quite a few more favorites then I do of high end.

I do think that you're going to see a trend because I am really fond of neutral shadows. I used to be really into colored shadows but I fell into a funk and it's hard to get out of! No worries though! I will have a colorful drugstore shadow list!

  1. Nyx Prismatic Eye Shadow in Liquid Gold $5.99
  2. Wet n Wild Panther $0.99
  3. Wet n Wild Brulee $0.99
  4. L'Oreal Infallible 24/hr Eye Shadow Continuous Cocoa $7.99
  5. Maybelline Color Tattoo Bad to the Bronze $6.99

Have you used any of these shadows before? I'm curious as to what your opinions of them are if you've used them!

Cranberry Smoke

I had no idea what to call this post. I asked Chris and he said "Hazel me blue"...men..especially him lol.. Silly silly.

This is a look I did the other night just out of the blue, I was going to work on some Halloween makeup looks until I realized I barely had any makeup remover, so it resulted in just ONE look for now. I know tomorrow is Halloween and I'm going to try and work on something awesome! I just hope that it works out! I need to see if I have the costume for it. >D Anyways, so this is the look I came up with! Thank you too Tricia for helping me think of a name! I was hung up on something else, but it didn't fit and Chris' definitely didn't fit at all! :P
EYES:
Too Faced Shadow Insurance
Wet n Wild Brulee (All over lid as well as under the eye brow)
Maybelline Color Tattoo Metals Electric Blue (All over lid as base for something a little extra)
Sugarpill Love+ (Center of lid)
Urban Decay Gash (All over lid ON TOP of Love+ as well)
L'Oreal 24/hr Infallible Eye Shadow 891 Continuous Cocoa (Crease and outer corner)
Urban Decay 24/7 Glide On Eye Pencil Perversion
Urban Decay Blackout (Lower lash line)
L'Oreal Lacquer Liner Dark Slate (Used for the wing as well as 1/2 the lid)
Maybelline Eye Studio Eyeliner Black (front 1/2 of the lid)
L'Oreal Miss Manga Mascara
Urban Decay Shakedown (Eye brow as well as some contouring on the nose and face)

FACE:
TEMPTU Pro S/B Concealer Wheel
 Lightest shade ALL over face
Maybelline Shine Free Pressed Powder 02 Soft Cameo

Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics (OCC) Lip Tar Anita
So for this being an on the whim look, I like how it turned out ! I used to really love doing dark looks many moons ago, and I'm starting to like them again! I would do wear this on Halloween!

The Beauty Buffs : Fall Themed

I know, I've not done a Beauty Buffs post in quite a while, to be completely honest with you, I am greatly surprised that I've not been kicked out of the group. I tried to do the last post, but EVER-SINGLE-LOOK I did came out in a total fail and I just gave up.

All of that aside, I am extremely behind on posts, so please bear with me while I attempt to catch up! D:

Now, This weeks theme is Fall Themed...you just know that I had to do something. Fall is my season..get it Autumn...Fall... *nods* yeahhh. Tis all mine! >D Kidding kidding. I seriously do love fall, hello my Wedding..Fall Themed...My wedding Dress...Kind of fall themed. The season itself just makes me happier. SO, I decided to do an eye look using two of BFTE (Beauty From The Earth) Cosmetics Pumpkin EVERYTHING! Collection.

Too Faced Shadow Insurance
BFTE Pumpkin EVERYTHING! (lid)
Pumpkin Spice (Crease/outer corner)
Chocolate (outer corner)
Maybelline Eyestudio Eyeliner - Black

So, I'm going to admit right here, I completely forgot mascara. I'm probably the only person who forgets to put their mascara more than they'd care to admit when doing their makeup. I know the pictures are a little out of focus, and the eyeliner is kind of skippy and not perfect. D: Can you tell that I'm not used to taking pictures!

I'm going to apologize right now for not having a full face shot. I changed my hair color drastically and I did not like a single full-faced picture that I took. Booo.
I'll have a full review of BFTE's Pumpkin EVERYTHING! Collection up on the blog soon, so you all can see what all of the shadows look like! I'm very excited for them!

Don't forget to check out the other ladies posts down below! Have a fantastic day! xx

The Beauty Buffs - Royal Blue

Bought Myself/Gift/Nothing To Disclose
Hello everyone! Welcome back to another episode of The Beauty Buffs!! .. Okay, why I called it an episode I have no idea, I thought it was funny. *bah dum tss*

This weeks theme is Royal Blue and I figured that since the last TBB post I did nail polish, I thought I would do makeup this week! SO, I had gone out in search of a nice royal blue eye shadow and found the Maybelline Expert Wear quad in Electric Blue. I guess, it is new? I don't know, I've never seen them before and it was $2 off I think so I decided I would get it. I'm going too tell you now, don't waste your time, It's not that great. The pigmentation is lacking. WELL, low and behold AFTER I bought it, I remembered I had Sugarpill's Heartbreaker palette in it, which has Velocity. A gorgeous matte royal blue. BAM, have my eyeshadow. *dances*

I decided too use the blue in the Maybelline quad as well as Velocity, and I used a mixture of colors from the Crown Cosmetics Smokey Eye Palette.
The three shadows with the arrows pointing too the are the ones I used. I didn't use them in any particular order, except tap my brush into each a couple of times.  I added that into the crease and blended out. BUT wait! There's more. I also used Sugarpill Velocity in the crease. I used it as the original outline of the crease then I blended a bit on the top of the crease to give it a little something extra,.

On the lid I applied lightly the Royal Blue from the Maybelline Electric Blues palette. I should have added some of Velocity on top, but what is done is done.
On the lower lashline I mixed the royal blue and the black shadow and smudged it across.
You are probably asking yourself WHY so many pictures and WHY pictures of both eyes. WELL my dears, I did both eyes different. On my left eye I didn't wing the liner and I didn't bring the shadow up as high as I did on the other eye. You can't tell particularly but the liner on my right eye *below* is winged out and I brought the shadows higher up towards the brow bone.
Products Used:
Sugarpill - Velocity
Maybelline - Electric Blue Palette (black and blue)
Crown Cosmetics - Smokey Eye Palette (colors shown above)
Urban Decay - Zephyr (innter corner)
Milani Extreme Eye Tech Eyeliner
Urban Decay Primer Potion
MiA BelleZZA Creme Liner in Brown - Waterline & Tightline
Ellis Faas Mascara
I really love how this came out! I've been itching too show everyone the look since I completed it a couple of nights ago!

Here's the finished look with the whole face! ... I don't know why I said it that way but I did. A lot of people say don't wear blue on blue, brown on brown or green on green. I say, do what you want, it is your makeup and it's YOUR face. Makeup is an expression of art, don't let others dull your shine!

The purpose of this is too give you some more blue options. I understand the 3/4 makeup choice are high end, but you try too find GOOD affordable royal blue shadows. :P I got lucky I found the Maybelline one, and the palette itself isn't that great,
Royal Blue

Essie nail polish / Seche nail care, $16 / Maybelline eye makeup / NARS Cosmetics matte eye makeup, $30 / Eyeshadow, $26 / Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics matte makeup

Neutral FOTD

Hey everyone.

I've totally dropped the ball on a lot of things in the past three months, especially blogging. It has been taking me 10x as long to get a blog post up as it normally does. I've not only dropped the ball on blogging, but just lief in general. The only reason I am sharing this is because I want to be as real as possible to you all. I've got nothing to hide nor would I try and hide anything. Things have just not been going well with me and it's been one thing after another. This month especially has not been going well and I more than likely just have to cancel everything that I was planning on doing, which is not going over well for me. Why is it not going well? It's something I've been looking forward too for a year. It's insane and honestly it's extremely depressing for me. Okay enough about my woes and sorrows. To kind of lighten the mood, I put on a movie I've never seen and I'm slightly creeped out because the woman just sensually touched a piece of chocolate. Weird much!? The movie is Requiem For A Dream. Never seen it but Jared Leto is a hottie. :P

Lets get all into it and talk about this FOTD!

This look was pretty simple to put together.

EYES:
Urban Decay Naked Palette ;
Buck (crease)
Half Baked (lid)
Virgin (inner corner)
L'Oreal 24/hr Power Volume Black Smoke Mascara (top&bottom lashes)
CoverGirl Lash Blast Fusion Mascara (top lashes)
Urban Decay Primer Potion
Urban Decay 24/7 Eye liner in Perversion

FACE:
Revlon New Complexion One Step Compact Makeup - 004 Soft Beige
Rimmel Stay Matte - Creamy Natural

Yes, omg I actually did put a foundation on! :O Gasps all around. It was a really simple thing that I slapped on it a couple of minutes!

I hope that you all are doing well!! xx

Maybelline Shine Free Pressed Powder

Purchased Myself
Hello everyone!
I hope you are having a fantastic day! :D

I purchased this powder at the end of May with the expectation of it working as a power foundation, or at least as a nice setting powder. I wanted to use it when I worked at Premiere in the beginning of July.
Honestly, I was very disappointed in this powder as a whole. It has NO coverage at all. Now apparently this is supposed to be a translucent powder, but it is no where on the product packaging or the packaging this comes in.  The only place this states that it is supposed to be translucent is on the Maybelline website. I really feel like that is false advertising because I was excited to try this.
Not only was I disappointed in the product itself, I was pretty disappointed in the packaging. It feels very cheap and while it does have a decent mirror I found a giant fault with the packaging! The pan of powder came loose from the packaging.I mean really now?! Come on Maybelline the heck. How it hasn't shattered yet, I do not know.
I found this to be very chalky and powdery. I may have had a different opinion of this product IF it had stated on the packaging that it was translucent. Considering I purchased it to act as a powder to help give me a little extra coverage. While in testing, I found this did not help keep any oil at bay or anything. This product in a whole is a giant flop for me.I really wanted to like it, but just no.Not happening.
I hate being such a negative Nancy, but I do feel that Maybelline should have put ON the packaging itself that it's meant to be translucent. I can't be the only one who was pretty upset with this powder.

You can purchase this at any store that sells Maybelline. It retails for around $6.

Makeup Of The Day 8/18

Purchased Myself | PR Sample

Hey everyone!
I hope you all are doing well! :D

Today I have a Makeup Of The Day for you! Woohoo!
I did this the other day, out of sheer boredom honestly. There was no particular reason that I did this, to reason for the choice of colors. I just grabbed a palette and grabbed a crease color and called it a day LOL.

SO! Without further adieu!

So, I'm just going to throw it out right here. Yes, my eye brows look like crap. I understand I need to get them done and I PLAN on getting them done. I've seen some people on twitter biatching/complaining about people who post pictures without doing their brows. I've done my  brows 3 times in my life. I always plus them to keep them looking decent, but never really bother with the front because they do their own thang. So honestly, if you have something nasty to say about my brows, it's my face not yours. Snip snap paddy whack go eat a bone. =^_^=

Mmmmkay back to brighter topics.
I've not used color in a while and I actually really missed it!

EYES:
Milani Eyeshadow Primer
Sugarpill Heartbreaker palette - 2AM, Acidberry, Mochi. (lid/bottom lashline/inner corner)
L'Oreal 24/hr Infallible 998 Sultry Smoke (outer corner/crease)
Mica Beauty Cosmetics black eyeliner
Urban Decay 24/7 eyeliner - Demolition (waterline)
L'Oreal Power Volume Black Smoke mascara

LIPS:
*Ageless Derma Satin Lipgloss - Cranberry

FACE:
Mario Badescu Special Healing Powder
Maybelline Shine Free Pressed Powder - 002 Soft Cameo

I am bloody in love with this look! I hated having to take it off at the end of the day! *sniffles*

I posted this look on Instagram the day I did it and I wanted to share it on my blog because I 1) actually had pictures for it and 2) it was too amazeballs (in my opinion) to not share!

I'm thinking of trying to do tutorials on the blog, but every time I remember that I wanted to do it my eyes are already done, super lame right?

Disclaimer: The Ageless Derma Satin Lipgloss in Cranberry was sent to me for review. Everything else in this post I purchased myself with my own money.

Maybelline Color Tattoo Pure Pigments

Hello!
I hope that you all are doing well! Are you excited for a makeup post finally?! I have quite a few more that I need to get done, but since Chris and I moved out of the apartment, it's been really difficult for me to put makeup on because I either don't have time or mostly because I have no where to put it on at. Yes I could do it in the bathroom, but it's not as easy as it sounds. So my makeup has really been getting neglected as of late. Hopefully we will be able to get in the house soon (don't even get me started on that honestly) but, I'm not rushing it. :)

Anypoodles.

The Maybelline Color Tattoo Pure Pigments are a recent release and it's something that took me about 2 weeks to actually find. I wound up finally finding them at Walmart. *gasp* Yes, I shop at Walmart, the ones that are around me aren't that bad. I only have 3 of the (I believe) 9 pigments. The ones that I picked up, I knew I would get some kind of use out of. It took everything I had to not get more of them.
They retail for between $6-$9 depending on your location and where you go. I've seen them as low as $5.89 and as high as $10.99 (on eBay.. that is insane!) I paid $6.98 at Walmart. These just started showing up in stores as of July 1st, so don't get your knickers in a knot if you can't find them yet! :)

FOTD #11 Neutral Eye w/ experiment at the end!

Hola!

I hope you are doing fantastic!
Today is one of those days in Florida where it's kind of dank and rainy out, I'm not going to lie, it's kind of one of my favorite kinds of days. I'm not much of a heat/sunshine kind of girl. *shields self* I think I turned into that kind girl when I found out all of my allergies, so I kind of just stay inside to not deal with the allergy issues, which doesn't help lol. I need to get a crap load of allergy medicine. Hah!

Any-poodle.

Today's FOTD wasn't really inspired by anything Chris and my Brother want to go bowling today and I didn't want to wear anything too crazy because it's going to get hot in the bowling alley. Don't want to sweat away some boss eye makeup LOL. Really though, I opted for a neutral eye today.

This is definitely NOT the shirt that I plan on wearing, I kind of forgot to change it before I decided to oomph my hair up and do my makeup lol. Figures I would be the "genius" to do that :P

Autism Awareness NOTD

Hello everyone!
I hope you all are having an amazing day!

Today, April 2nd is World Autism Awareness Day. I personally don't know anyone that has Autism, but that doesn't stop me from wanting to help raise awareness for it!
Autism Awareness' color is blue. I know a lot of other bloggers are doing manicures as well and I kind of wanted to join in on it! I figured it would be fun to do something out of my norm.

For this manicure I wanted to use one of the polishes that I received in the Central Florida Beauty Bloggers Swap.
