Spotlight Sunday - Tavarua Skin

Hello Loves!

Today's Spotlight Sunday is a VERY long time coming. I don't know why it has taken me this long to do. I am suck a slacker!

This weeks spotlight is ALL about Tavarua Skin. They are a natural, organic, and high performance skin care line that hails from Orange County, California. I had the pleasure of trying out two of their products a few months back and I absolutely LOVE them! I still use them to this day!

I love how their products are pretty much no muss no fuss products. They are pretty straight forward on what they do! They also have their ingredients on the back of the packaging which is lovely BECAUSE I love knowing what is in the products that I use on my face or body. Heck, you can even pronounce the names or each of the ingredients! Bah

The lovely lady behind the company is Stephanie. She is such a sweetheart! Very kind-hearted and just an all around good woman! :) I really enjoy talking to her! Plus her son is the cutest thing ever! She now even has her products in a store which is awesome! I am so happy for her that her skin care line is thriving! I've been following her since the beginning, so I am glad that she is doing so well!

Her skin care line has such a huge range. There is even products for dry or sensitive skin! Even if you have oily skin I feel that you can use her products! Tavarua is a for purpose company so all of the products are absolutely amazing :).
I really can't wait to see what happens in the future with Tavarua!

Spotlight Sunday - ClickR

How can you not love this company?! Florence (who is their CEO) is the sweetest woman! Seriously, she is so kind and she represents the company very well! Whoever runs their twitter (not hers) is also very kind! I have had nothing but GOOD experiences with them! That is what I love about a company when they represent themselves on Social Media and interact with their customers.

ClickR hails from Boston! So it is made in the good ol' US of A. Which is pretty neat. Chris and I are going to be heading up that way soon when we go to visit his familia. Their products are also Vegan, which is nice. Since it wont harm your face :)

I love their acne spot serum. (You can see my review HERE ) I got it back in my BeautyArmy kit in April. BEST PRODUCT EVER! I love their packaging, it is not over the top and tacky looking. I personally think it is perfect the way it is. Simple yet colorful. What do I mean by colorful? Well, they have three different lines of products.

1. No More DermaDrama is pink

2. Figure It Out is blue

3. Easy Karma is green.

Love it! Bah. They launched in 2011 but were founded in 2008. How cool! Until I read their facebook page (link will be at the end) I never knew that! To me it seemed like they had been around for 10+ years, I was really surprised honestly. Another thing I love about them is that they don't forget about the men!

I have noticed a lot of companies will kind of just forget about the men and cater mostly to women. Hello! Men need some skincare love too! I really think that this company is really wonderful!

I knew I had seen their company somewhere before BeautyArmy, but I couldn't place it. Sephora! I LOVED their packaging when I saw it ages ago in Sephora, when mine first opened. unfortunately, mine does not carry it anymore. :( So the only way for me to get it is to order it online. Not that there is anything wrong with that. I'm just iffy on ordering online anymore thanks to my mailman. (Long story)

Blogger Spotlight - SimplyBeautyLucy

One of the main things that I love about Lucy's blog is that in one of her most recent posts ,  she states that she is more of a high end girl but she loves a good bargain. I LOVE that about her! Some people who only shop high end, only do that or vice versa. I love that she likes both high end drugstore or "high street" as it is called over in the UK.



That right there speaks volumes to me. Why? its not at all how much expensive makeup you put on your face! I really feel that Lucy understands that! I love when bloggers do things like that honestly, use high end and drugstore. Not for any particular reason though. I also love that she lives in the UK. I am not sure why, but I love following bloggers that are not from the states. Seems a bit odd huh? Bah.

I don't remember how I found her blog honestly. I think it was when I sent out a tweet with the #bbloggers hash tag and she responded. (Speaking of which, is that hash tag only for the UK?! I only ever see blogs from the UK on it. Hm) Anyhoo. Lucy herself is freaking adorable! I envy her hair. Bahaha. She also has a horse named Cazzie. SO BLOODY CUTE. I love horses, but my allergies not so much.



There is just something about her that I love. She just seems very genuine and there is something else that I simply can not put my dang finger on! Hm, Oh well! She doesn't just blog about beauty. She blogs about lifestyle and other such things.

Spotlight Sunday - Sugarpill

Hello Dolls!

This week is going to be something different. Instead of showcasing a blogger, I am going to talk about a Company. This is so fitting to what this Spotlight about because of how they treat their customers and just how they act in general.



The company I am talking about is Sugarpill . Why Sugarpill? Well, I have ALWAYS admired their eye shadows and pigments, but never bought them. I used to be afraid of color to a point, thinking it would look terrible on me. I have used bright colors before, but I went into about a year and a half long neutral binge. So, my "brights" collection dwindled and I now own more neutrals that I will ever need.
.. Woah went off on a small ish.
When Sugarpill came to Beautylish, I was so excited. I FINALLY had my chance to try them out! Why did I wait for them to come to beautylish? I'm on a strict Wedding budget at the moment and because 51 people signed up for the launch of the BB (beautylish boutiqes) I earned $168 in credit! Woo! I spent a small amount only getting a couple of pigments and Love+ which totaled $36. I was going to wait for the other boutiques to open to spend the rest.. That didn't happen. Then I spend $46 on a friend. Then I spent the last $78 on myself and another friend. I had just spent $168 in Sugarpill before I knew it!

I just want to say ITS TOTALLY WORTH IT! I am seriously hooked. All of my products have their own drawer which I have dubbed "My Sugarpill Drawer" lol. That is all that is in it. :P

Anyways, story aside the reason I am doing this Company Spotlight is because of their amazing customer service. I've not experience CS like this from any other company except for BeautyArmy.
What happened is there was something wrong with my Love+ shadow! D: I was so bummed, I've been on the search for a red eye shadow for so long. (Hah mom, proved you wrong! They do make red shadows! :P) I knew Sugarpill had a red shadow, but I had not had the funds to get it, so I jumped on the chance thanks to beautylish. (seriously, I am so grateful!) anyways, so I sent out tweets asking if Love+ was always hard to swatch. Literally, the pigment came off on my finger but wouldnt transfer. Since it was my first time owning Sugarpill products, I wasn't sure.

I didn't get any response from anyone on the matter, so I shot Sugarpill an email... Ironically after I sent the email I got a tweet from the Sugarpill twitter. I am not sure who runs their twitter, but that is the sweetest person I have ever encountered! Seriously, they were so nice and professional. They offered to sent me a replacement pan because there was something wrong with mine. It was probably defective or damaged. So I emailed them and Trista responded to me. Seriously, this girl needs a raise! She was so sweet and omg, it was just more than I expected! We exhanged a few emails back and forth and, seriously best customer service EVER! You can really tell that they actually care about their customers and don't just consider their customers "money" or anything like that.

That is something I really am loving about Sugarpill. I have never experienced anything like what I did from Sugarpill. The sweetest company ever.
I got my replacement pan on 9.15.12 and it came with 2 of the cutest stickers. I seriously LOVE cats. I had 21 at one time. (I swore I was going to be a crazy cat lady.) I only have 1 now, but seriously. It is taking everything I have to just not stick the stickers on something. :P
I can't wait for their new collection to come out! I am going to drool over it because my damn budget is not allowing me to buy any makeup! Damnit! *envy*
Also, how freaking cute is Shrinkle?! I love that she is just herself, rainbow hair and all. SO FREAKING CUTE YOU ARE! bah. #girlcrush

Blogger Spotlight! - Plus Size Panda

First off I want to say how freaking cute is her header?! :P

I don't remember how I stumbled upon her blog, but I am glad that I did!

Aggie is such a sweet girl, I absolutely love her to pieces! I love how confident she is and it just radiates off of her! Not only that but she has really helped me with my confidence, which I desperately needed help with! <3 She is a big girl and she is proud of it! !

She is a fashion blogger, which I am not normally into, but I just can't help it. I've read her entire blog! No lie, I really did the first night I found her. Not only does she post pictures of herself, her clothes, accessories and what not, but she also posts pictures of other big beautiful ladies! I really love that about her.

Her blog has a lot of variety to it, so you don't always see the same stuff. She has her own T-Shirt that I seriously need to get, it is so cute!

People give her crap for it but they obviously do not understand that spreadshirt only makes their shirts up to a certain size and people are just hateful and mean about it for no reason! Le ugh! I totally understand girl!

I really think that you all need to go check her blog out. Whether you are plus sized or not! Her blog is enjoyable in my opinion for everyone!  And just remember, if you don't have something nice to say, don't say it at all!

Shout Out Sunday: Christine

Hello everyone!
Its time again for Shout Out Sunday! Woo! *dances*

So this Sunday we are travelling all of the way across the world to Norway! Yes, Norway! There is a lovely blogger called Christine or Teeny89 on Twitter, she blogs about makeup, fashion and beauty. Let me just tell you, this girl has some major style for one! I'm not that big into Fashion because, I just am not, its a me thing, but this girl makes me wish I was more into fashion! She can pull off things I would never dream of being able to pull off. Like those Jeffrey Campbell Spiked Litas, I would walk once in them and knowing me, because the spikes are sharp, I would cut the crap out of my legs. Haha. But really, rock those bad boys girl!

Makeup wise, she picks out the most amazing things. There is a lovely mix or High end and drugstore, well just her taste all around is amazing. Not to mention, have you seen this girls eyes? Oh my goodness! They are such a beautiful color! Hoo-Hoo! She is all around beautiful, but her eyes are just stunning!

I definitely say that you all go and check her out!

In complete honesty, I love everything about her blog. I love the cute Hello Kitty that gives you the "peace sign" (that really is the cutest thing EVER), the top box that scrolls and shows previews of her posts that are direct links. Its just a really well rounded blog. Reviews, hauls, Outfit of the days and things like that.

I have talked to her a few times on Twitter and she is really sweet, down to earth And just very cool. Actually, when I first started doing my YouTube videos, her blog is one of the very first that's started reading. So I have been reading her blog for a couple years I believe. It's pretty cool!

Shout Out Sunday: Hello Miss Niki

Hey everyone! So, is it weird that I actually really look forward to doing these blog posts every week now? Even though I have only done 1 so far. I really just love doing them!

This weeks shout out is to Hello Miss Niki. I'm not sure how I came across her or her blog, I do know it was through Twitter, I just cant remember how. Hah. Anyhoo, I instantly fell in love (not creepy love... crazies) with her, her blog and her YouTube channel. She seriously is one of the nicest people ever and oh my goodness she is so sweet!

Seriously though, her reviews on her blog and YouTube channel are so in depth and makes me want to go out and buy everything she talks about. I'm like I AM CONVINCED! There are really not enough words to describe her. Another thing that I really love about her is her Jersey accent. I don't know what it is about it, but I've always loved Jersey accents. (WAY before Jersey Shore was ever thought of) A good chunk of my family is from Jersey on my Moms side, heck my Mum is even from Jersey. Haha. West Berlin, I believe. That is besides the point.

I really think that you all NEED to go check this girl out like NOW. I am sure that you all will fall in love with her as well! She is such a genuine person and you can really tell that!  Not to mention, have you seen her?!? Oh my gawd, that is a beautiful woman right there! Shoo-e! =^_^= Beauty on the inside and out.

Shoutout Sunday - Nouveau Cheap

So, my first Shoutout Sunday is for the blog Nouveau Cheap . If you have never heard of G's blog you are behind on the times sweetie!

The one main thing that I love about her blog is that she blogs about drug store things only. In her "For New Readers" section on her blog she says that she rarely blogs about anything over $20, unless it is something "high end" then she is telling you how to get it at a discounted price. That, I absolutely love! I know for me personally, I can't go out and spend $50 a pop on something. I absolutely LOVE saving money. You should see my face when I look at my receipt and it tells me how much I saved. The best feeling in the world! :P

I absolutely love her little piggy as well in her header and how all over her "O"'s are pennies. Seriously, how cleaver is that?!  I've been reading her blog a lot as of late honestly, it has been where I have been going to get my fill of products, without having to buy anything. She has also helped me pick and choose what is worth the money or not worth the money. Like the new Revlon ColorStay Whipped Creme Makeup. I wanted that so bad that it hurt, but when I read her post, all of my wants for it just went out the window, especially because I have oily skin as well. So, I am greatly thankful for that because its around $14 or $15 here.

Her pictures are absolutely stunning. When I can get a nice enough camera, I would love to be able to take pictures of products like that. *envy* She also gives a lot of info and its just awesome.

Shout out Sunday

So I want to start a new thing. I'm really getting back into the swing of blogging. I don't want to blog every single day, so I am giving myself a couple days off from it.

When I was at work I was putting my blog schedule in my calendar on my iPad and I thought, hm, could I do more blog posts? Since my personal one didn't go over well....well I'm not sure if it did or not honestly, I didn't get much of a response from it. So, I figured that on Sundays I would do something called Shoutout Sunday.

I will talk about a person, blog or company that I want to give a Shoutout too. No one will be paying me or anything of that nature to talk about them. This will all be on my own doing and all in my own opinion. The reason I wanted to do this, is to give just a Shoutout to people. I'm not really sure why, I just though it would be something really fun to do every Sunday.

You can recommend people every week and I can check them out and feature them one week. I know I am not a popular blogger so, it's not like it would make a huge difference. Just something fun I thought about doing to do something different on my blog since I want to do more than just beauty. I want to do things that relate to life in general, even though my main focus will be beauty!

That is really all I wanted to talk about in this blog. The official "shoutouts" will start next Sunday!
