Hello Lovlies!
I know it seems like I just put the up preliminary blog post about this, but I thought it was already posted a month ago.
Güd is a branch of Burt's Bees which I know everyone loves at least something from them. So this line, was just an absolute smash hit, in my opinion! I have quite a few things from Burt's Bees and 3 things from Güd.
When I first got this I was absolutely OBSESSED with all of the scents. I have to sometimes be careful of things that I buy because of my allergies. These are just absolutely LOVELY scents.
There are three scents in all. Vanilla Flame, Floral Cherrynova, Orange Petalooza.
Vanilla Flame is a vanilla and rice milk scent. It's a sweet yet spicy scent.
Floral Cherrynova is a Cherry Blossom and Almond milk scent. Now I don't get much of the Almond milk, but I definitely do get the cherry blossom.
Orange Petalooza is a Blood Orange flower. It smells EXACTLY what you would think it smells like. Blood orange!
I love the cherry blossom scent, but this is just a bit overpowering to me. Then again, I am a bit sensitive to floral scents, and this one is a bit more floral than I would like and I honestly can't even use it because it makes my allergies to wild.. That is a me thing though, I absolutely recommend this to everyone. Now since the body lotion is in the Floral Cherrynova scent, that is what I am going to be talking about.
I will not lie, out of the 3 products I have, this is the least used. I honestly just am not a body lotion kind of person and the floral aspect gives me headaches. I have used it enough to talk about it though! This lotion feels like a typical body lotion to me, in the aspect of how it comes out of the tube. Its has a nice thick consistency and it soaks into the skin rather quickly. This does not feel greasy or leave a weird layer on the skin like some other body lotions can. I personally love the way this lotion feels, I may get it in another scent that way I can enjoy it more.
The product I have in the Vanilla Flame scent is the body mist. It is a seductive and exotic scent. I really like it. I'm not sure what rice milk smells like honestly, but I do get a small hint of vanilla. I really love the smell of this. Even though it's a body mist, I feel like this stays ALL day on me. A lot of body mists linger for a few hours, but this stuff can last ALL day. No lie. This is small enough to slip into your purse! Which is really nice for me, because I like taking my perfume or scent that I am using for that day with me.
The last product I have is the Orange Petalooza body wash. The scent of this is Blood orange with hyacinth. Now I personally don't smell the hyacinth in it, but boy oh boy do I get the blood orange! I absolutely LOVE the scent of blood orange! I love anything blood orange in reality. So I am absolutely OBSESSED with this body wash! It's a rich and lathers pretty well. I really appreciate how much it lathers, not that it does anything, but I like lathery body wash.
When I use this, I feel refreshed as soon as I get out of the shower, it's really nice. My only beef with this, is that the scent doesn't stay on your skin at all when you get out of the shower. So if you want it to be strong or be able to smell it when you get out of the shower, you probably will want to buy the body mist and the lotion and layer to your heart's content.
When I first got this, I used it the night before then the next day, I was so obsessed with it, I found any excuse to take a lukewarm shower, just so I could use it and feel its awesome-ness on my skin. Yes, I love it that much! Granted, it was a bit much to shower 5 times in 1 day, but hey, they were really short honestly! The consistency is a little more gel like than a normal body wash and it is also clear. When you pop the top the smell just floods out and fills the ENTIRE room up with its amazing smell.
I also find that this is really good for shaving. I use it for that as well and its works just as good if not better than a shaving cream or gel. I also have the problem with some body washes that if I put them in certain spots, they burn like something fierce. This, thankfully does NOT burn, which I will be forever grateful for. Haha maybe it's just my allergies, but regardless, I am thankful that this doesn't burn!
This entire line is NOT tested on Animals, just like the regular Burt's Bee's products. They are also free of parabens, phthalates, and petrochemicals. All in all, I really love the 3 products that I got the chance to test out. I will definitely be repurchasing them and buying more from the line. :)
