Easter Eye Look! ft The Body Shop

Contains Press Samples

Well, hello there! I know it has been a while. I no joke had started a blog post at the beginning of March with full intention of jumping back into regular posting. However, one thing happened right after another and blogging and well really everything else got put on the back burner. I have always said and always will put family first and that is what needed to happen! I also have realized that I really don't like wearing foundation! I no joke already knew that, but I have tried a few foundations out and I don't like any of them. Or at least, I have yet to find one that I like and doesn't make my skin itch like crazy..I also have decided that I am not going to throw on a foundation for the sake of a blog post, which is what I usually do. So, if I happen to wear a foundation, I will wear it and list it..if I don't, well I don't. I'm not going to put my skin in jeopardy for the sake of a picture and getting "likes". :)

So, for the real reason you are here, which is not to listen to me talk about things you don't care about! I've actually been wearing makeup more often in the recent week or so. I organized my makeup and I have just really been playing with it..well playing with one palette that I am testing out! But I decided to shake it up and use something different!

The Body Shop was kind enough to send me a few of the products that I am using today! I will do full review of everything (hopefully soon), because one of the products I am absolutely in love with!

To start off, I applied The Body Shop Oils of Life Intensely Revitalizing Eye Cream-Gel. Y'all this stuff is life changing! I apply that day and night, because that is what it tells you to do.

I prepped my eyes though my usual way when I am applying eye shadow. Too Faced Shadow Insurance is my go to primer and I love it! I am not even going to tell you how old my tube is though! I let that sit and dry for a few seconds while I prep the rest of my goodies to use!

For a base I used; The Body Shop Eye Colour Stick in Nevada Gold. I applied that all over the lid as a base color, because I wanted the eye shadows to be more pigmented. I also applied this to the lower lash line.

For actual eye shadows I used shadows from two different palettes. The Body Shop (again) Down To Earth Eye palettes in 01 and 04. I knew that I wanted to use purple somewhere in my eye look for the day because it is Easter and why the hell not!

For the outer corner I mixed (from 04) Bengal Granite & Penrhyn Slate for the outer corner as well as in the crease. I used Aztec Gold (01) for an all over lid color as well as I mixed it with Sahara Dune for the inner corner.

For my eyeliner I used Nars Interstellar Eye Paint. Then finished the entire look off with Make Up For Ever Excessive Lash mascara.

I mean, it really was a pretty easy eye look to put together!..I mean I didn't even curl my lashes honestly, and boy can you tell! Hah.

Again, a huge HUGE Thank You to The Body Shop for providing me with the amazing products to use in this look today! I can't wait to do a full review(s) of everything for you all! Thank may be on YouTube though! :P

Best,
Autty
Products from The Body Shop were sent for free for review purposes. I also received the Nars eye Pain for free for review. All opinions are my own.
