My First Graze Box!

Good morning loves!
I hope you all have an amazing Wednesday!

On Monday I got my First Graze Box in the mail, I was not expecting it because I wound up cancelling the box, even though your first one is free. It had been two weeks and I didn't hear anything from them, so I figured I would just cancel it so I wouldn't get charged $5 for the next box.
When I first signed up the Grazebox was $5 WEEKLY but since then to the best of my knowledge they have installed a bi-weekly and monthly I believe.

The box is a pretty decent size and I decided on the Nibble Box so I got 4 different snacks.
As you can tell, the little containers are a pretty decent size. I decided to share these with people in my family.

The top left is the Herby Bread Basket. This was 18g or 0.63oz..which is was pretty full. However I didn't really get the "herby" aspect of it, all I got was garlic..and it was extremely strong..like you need to brush your teeth after or it ferments strong. (gross but you know what I mean)

The next one I split with Chris. It was the Natural Vanilla Seeds. It was Pumpkin and Sunflower seeds. We both love them and we definitely LOVED this container.
This one was pretty full as well. It weighed 31.5g or 1.1oz. Which doesn't seem like a lot, but it was.The seeds basically have a vanilla, sugar and honey glaze on them. It's amazing! They aren't too sweet which makes them even better! I definitely would live off of these if I could. It was my favorite container out of the entire box.

The next was the Strawberry Milkshake.
I'm not going to lie, I called this Strawberry Shortcake every time I talked about it. Oops.  This was the heavier of the 4 boxes coming in at 36g or 1.3oz. This had white chocolate buttons, baby strawberries and banana. The strawberry and banana were like dried fruit, but they were still tacky and soft. They weren't hard at all. This one I let my Niece and Nephew share and they liked it a lot. My Nephew liked the banana's the most and my Niece just did not care, she loved it all. She doesn't have many teeth, but she ate these.

The last box, I couldn't eat at all...well, it's not a "I couldn't eat" it was more of a "I don't eat" situation.
Lightly Toasted Pistachios
This container came in at 32g or 1.1oz. I don't eat pistachios but my parents do so they got this box. I'm not sure if they have eaten it yet because they have been in the process of moving. I'm sure they taste good though.

With Graze you get to pick and choose what kind of snacks you want to get a lot, a little or never, I really like that. I think I picked the pistachios as a little because I knew my family would like them and I like sharing with others. I like that they give you nutritional facts about each one on the back of a card and on the website you get the FULL ingredients list, which is nice. I also saw that they have dietary restricted boxes are well. Non-Celiac, Non-Vegan and Non-Dairy boxes. I do want to state that if you have a nut allergy be careful and make sure you read each thing. On the website it even states that there is no guarantee that the boxes will be suitable for your allergies or dietary requirements because everything is prepared in the same kitchen. So if you are deathly allergic to nuts, stay away. I'm allergic to some nuts, but it's not bad so I don't mind at all. Just be really careful if you do have nut allergies or any other dietary requirements. Definitely read the website very carefully!

Overall, I think it's a nice box, I cancelled mine because it was still $5 a week, they didn't install the other choices until after I cancelled. I think the box is worth $5, but it's not something that I would want to get regularly honestly. I did hear about a few other people getting expired snacks or almost expired snacks.. My best by dates were between 12/03/2013- 15/03/2013.. so I am not fussed about it at all. I read it wrong earlier when I was talking about it on instagram, I thought it said the 4th on them all. But it's all good in the hood! :)

All in all, it was a nice box, everyone seemed to enjoy the snacks inside of it!

Indian Home Remedies for Thick Hair

This is a Guest post written by Chetana from StyleCraze! It's an amazing Beauty Network in India!

Indians attribute a lot of importance to hair and are in general known to possess thick, strong and beautiful hair.

Indians prefer to use natural home remedies to acquire thick and strong hair. The power of ancient Indian Ayurveda or Ayurvedic medicine is tapped to enhance and maintain the natural beauty of Indian hair.
Oiling forms a significant part of the Indian hair care routine. It is believed that the secret to the long, black, shiny tresses that Indian women possess is through regular application of oil to the hair. To acquire and retain thick luscious healthy hair, Indians, especially women oil their hair regularly.

  1. Coconut oil is the most commonly used hair oil in India, which is a storehouse of goodness for the hair. It replenishes dry and damaged hair, nourishes the scalp and hair with essential nutrients, stimulates blood circulation in the scalp area and thus aids hair growth. Hence it’s a preferred choice and a household name in India for getting thick and long hair.

  1. Amla oil, sourced from the fruit of the Indian gooseberry (Emblica officinalis, a tree native to India) is used by many Indian women to acquire strong and healthy hair. The Amla is known to be a miracle fruit, holding a number of skin and hair benefits.
An excellent source of Vitamin C, Amla solves several hair woes and is useful in maintaining the natural Indian hair color. It encourages thick hair growth, prevents hair loss and premature graying of the hair.
Amla powder is often mixed with other herbal powders such as henna (Lawsonia inermis) and shikakai (Acacia concinna) and this paste is applied to the hair to improve its growth and to provide essential nourishment.

  1. Shikakai is used by many Indians as a natural hair cleanser for washing the hair. It is a wonderful way to steer clear of sulfate-containing shampoos while gently cleansing the scalp of excess oil and accumulated dirt; it detangles the hair, naturally conditions it, promotes hair growth, and makes hair bouncy, strong and silky.

  1. Reetha (Soap Nut) is another commonly used ingredient in India for shampooing as it is a natural surfactant; it gently cleanses excess oils from the hair, possesses antimicrobial properties and brings a healthy shine and bounce to the hair.

  1. Fenugreek, better known as Methi in India is a commonly used herb that is an excellent remedy used by Indians for thick and strong hair. Containing proteins and nicotinic acid, a hair tonic prepared from soaking fenugreek seeds in hot water provides essential nourishment to the hair; acts as a natural conditioner and prevents hair loss.

  1. Indians also use Ayurvedic hair oils like Bhringraj Oil derived from the plant ‘Eclipta Alba’. Amla Bhringraj oil is used by many Indians to naturally blacken the hair and get thick, strong hair.
Hope you enjoyed reading the article. Do visit StyleCraze for many more hair care ideas.

Thank you so much Chetana! This was an EXCELLENT blog post! I learned so much! I don't know about anyone else but I have ALWAYS envied Indian woman's hair, it is always so gorgeous! At least now I know why! I hope you all enjoyed this blog post out and PLEASE check out StyleCraze! It's an amazing website!! -Autty

Ipsy February 2013

Hello hello!

This months Ipsy bag was not that exciting to me honestly, I was most excited about one product. I know a lot of people went crazy over it, I just.. well I don't know, it was a bit of a miss for me. But at the same time, that's just my opinion!!

The one thing I was excited about was the Pop Beauty Smoky Lash Kapow!!!
Like I said in my YouTube video about it, I'm a mascara junkie. I have a small stash of mascara.. well it's small now. I don't like being without mascara so I always tend to buy a bunch when I have the extra money and they are on sale! I'm excited to use this! It's next on my list! :P

Pixi Flawless & Poreless Primer
Lately I have to be really careful on what I put on my face, so I am not sure when I will get around to using this. I have a few other face primers that I want to use up first.

Lash Card
Am I the only one that thinks products like this are useless? Yes, it will be perfect for someone who is new into makeup or isn't that good at applying mascara, but myself personally, I feel that this is a waste of cardstock. Use a business card, it's free.

Coastal Scents Sample Trio in In The Spotlight
I REALLY want to try more from Coastal Scents. I've not really used their other quad that was sent a few months ago, but I think that the top left, bottom left and bottom right colors will be used a lot. At least for me. The yellow wont look so good on my skin tone in my opinion.

Mica Beauty Cosmetics Cream(or gel) Liner
I'm not quite sure if this is a gel or a cream liner. It looks like a cream liner to me, but there are no other stickers or labels on it besides the cap. I can tell you that it is in black. That's really all I can say about it.
This I plan on sending to CookieFarrer, she was supposed to get this months bag and was excited for this but Ipsy stiffed her out of a month that she payed for when she got the year subscription. I'm more of a liquid liner girl anyways :P

So that was the contents of this months bag!
Sorry about the horrid picture of the bag, it was like 12am when I took this, hence the light. I meant to retake the picture but it slipped my mind. For anyone else, did this bag remind you of the PVC/Latex body suits that they use for naughty stuff? I asked multiple people and they ALL said the same thing. Nuff said. I can't remember the actual name of the plastic that they used, but the outside is definitely going to be easy to clean.
When you open the bag its BAM red. Kind of like Christian Louboutins. The sleep black pump with that sexy red sole that every girl lusts over. 'nough said.

Origins Zero Oil Review

The other night I was talking to Chris about how much I was avoiding this review because I absolutely hate talking negatively about products. I can't even return it because I can't find the receipt or shipping paper. Oh well.

Zero Oil is marketed as a product that keeps places that you get shiny matte ALL DAY. When I first decided on buying this I thought it was a lotion, I apparently read this wrong because it is the farthest thing from a lotion. It is a liquid that if you are not careful with goes everywhere. This also has a gritty feeling to it, however it does go away the more you rub or pat it into your face so that is one good thing.

When using this you have to make sure you shake this up EXTREMELY well. Figure the few times I did use it, I was shaking this for almost 5 minutes each time, so it's hard to shake up. The first time I applied this, I used my fingers, I didn't know that it was a water consistency until the first time I used it, then I also found out that you have to be oh so extra careful or it goes all over you. I applied it to my nose and cheeks, because those are the two places that I get the most oily and shiny throughout the day. Onto mistake number two, I assumed this would be like a moisturizer, I was wrong.. I don't think I have ever been so wrong in my entire life. My nose and cheeks were so dry that it's not even funny, it was practically like a desert. My skin started to produce extra sebum to compensate for the desert that was now my face. I was oily within 15 minutes of using this, which NEVER happens, even if I DON'T moisturize.

Okay, so those were my mistakes. You live and learn. So I tried it the next day and this time I made sure that I moisturized before hand and used a cosmetic sponge. It was as bad over the moisturizer, but let me tell you my nose will never be the same after this. It's still quite dry and no me gusta. Regarding the sponge, I didn't have it any easier. the liquid soaked into the sponge so quick that it was like BAM BABY I am a dry sponge. Wtf?!  I wound up wearing a LOT of as well when trying to use the sponge because it seriously would skip and slide right OFF the sponge as well and soak in instantly...My legs were sure dry and shine free! (not that they get shiny anyways!)

The size of the container is smaller than I assumed it would be bigger than it is. It's 18mL or .64 fl. oz. The bottle is quite small, about the size of my index finger. Considering this retails for $14, I definitely do not think it's worth it because you wind up wasting more than you use.  I was actually a bit pissed when I pulled this out of bigger box that I had ordered from Drugstore.com.. I wanted so bad to send this on a one way trip back, but I can't find the receipt to save my blummin' life.

I'm really sorry for such a negative review. I extremely dislike doing negative reviews, but alas it needed to be done!

PS I want to say thank you to everyone who kept distracting me as I tried to type this, I planned 20 minutes to type this, edit pictures etc and it's so far taken me over an hour... thanks.

Whip Hand Cosmetics Thermal vs Urban Decay Primer Potion

Hello!! xx

I don't think that I have ever talked about one primer more than Urban Decay Primer Potion..well.. I've not done a review of it here or on my YouTube channel because I figured that it is talked about enough. Baha. Whilst talking to FashionCHICsta and Whip Hand Cosmetics on twitter we started talking about some of their products and their Thermal Crème shadow came up. Now insert Cult of Taupe for her amazing swatches and basically I was already sold and instantly purchased it and one other product. I'm not going to lie, that is ALL it took. I am easily swayed. Haha. Then it was mentioned that their crème shadows were also self priming. I did this face :O O_O say whattttt!?!?!?
I was insanely excited waiting for this to come in the mail honestly! I mean come on, a product that doesn't need a primer under it? That will last on very oily lids?! Bring. It. On! is all I said when it showed up in my mail box! Ooh child you have no idea, when I woke up I got so excited and cut open the box! (I'm not going to lie, I still have the box. No shame) WHC crème shadows were created to enhance their own pigments (which I must say I am lemming over a few of them..soon my precious..soon)
Before I keep going and this gets extremely long, because I know myself hah. The purpose of this blog post is to test out the two shadows and to see who lasts better. Now, I've already tested these out and wound up messing up like a complete knob. I accidentally put Thermal on top of the UDPP. Bah. Such a knob. Since Saturday nights are extremely long for me, I decided this would be the night that I tested them! I typically only wear eye shadow on Saturday's and it's normally on for around .. well a long time. I normally put it on around 2-3pm and take it off around 5am.. so yeah, definitely a good time to test longevity. Now, I have pretty oily lids so I am really excited to do this test.

The particular day that I decided to test these out I put my eye shadow on at 3:45pm.
UDPP is on the left eye.
WHC Thermal is on the right.

I used the original Urban Decay Primer Potion, and I am sure that everyone has heard of it, so I am not going to touch base on it except to say that it's probably my favorite primer that I have tried. I still want to try the Too Faced Shadow Insurance, but that's not to be talked about now!
Thermal is a white crème that has a gold shimmer to it. It's an absolutely gorgeous crème shadow!

So, I found that shadows blended and went onto Thermal easier then they did with UDPP. With UDPP I had tugging and pulling of my eyelid, which we all know is no bueno. Not only that, but I also found that the shadows stood out a LOT more over thermal and their true colors showed better. Especially with half baked, it kind of gave it the look that it was applied wet, which is really cool.

I checked my eyes around 6:17am and that also happens to be when I decided to take my shadow off. I found that Thermal held up a LOT better than I was expecting, especially with not having UDPP under it. The only places that shows any noticeable signs of wear is my crease, which is kind of normal for me! Normally I find that when my crease starts going, my shadows just kind of start sliding UP my lid and they just go POOF.. pretty lame, but these stayed put even with the crease going! :P.

So all around I definitely give Thermal from Whip Hand Cosmetics a 5/5! It's truly an exceptional product. I really love it and I have now found myself using it every time I wear shadow! I even applied it on my sister and it held up very well!

Oh! Before I forget, when you purchase this, I definitely suggest having a Z-Palette or one of those 4-pan elf palettes. Since this comes in a pan and is in a little snap close case, I find that when I use it, it falls out, it's not a problem for me though. Just a warning. I do plan on purchasing a Z-Palette when I get the extra money because I want to get more of their creme products!

You can purchase Thermal from Whip Hand Cosmetics. These retail for $9.00USD which is an exceptional value! There is also 3 oz of product per pan.
You can purchase the Urban Decay Primer Potion really anywhere you can buy UD.. They retail for $20.00USD per 11ml e 0.37 US fl oz.

Disclaimer: Both of these products were purchased by me with my own money. All opinions are my 100% my own.

Eye Of The Day 2/16/13

Hello Lovies!

By the time you read this, I could potentially be doing my sisters makeup getting ready for this birthday party that neither of us really want to go too! :P

It's a themed party, but the girl who is throwing it, basically ruined her own party days before it even started which is a shame. It's one of my sisters OLD high school friends. Alas, enough about that!

The themes were 70s and I can't even remember what else. I opted to do some 70s inspired makeup. I was looking around the internet last night and came across an OLD Maybelline add from the 70s and decided I was going to do something like it.

Source

Obviously, I wont be able to get a palette like that but I kind of giggled at the fact that I have eye shadows that kind of are like the ones the woman is wearing.

Cue my Sugarpill HeartBreaker palette! It's got a blue, a green and while it may not have a pink like the color, I do have a purple that is just as gorgeous which I opted to use! Major preference though.
I also kept the purple in my outter corner and I didn't bring it all of the way up to my brow bone, that is also a personal preference though. I myself think it would look ghastly on me, especially with my eyes being a little hooded.. (face lift anyone?! kidding!!!) So that is what I did!

I have nothing else on my face or my lips. I want to brush my teeth before I bother finishing. Hah. But I do plan on wearing my L'Oreal Magic BB Cream and on my lips probably one of my Korres Lip Butters, not sure which!

As per my eyes My all over lid color is Mochi (light blue) The outter corner and crease is 2am (purple) and on my lower lash line is Acidberry (green)
You can't tell the colors right here buutttt

BAM, I'm starring at you! Creepy, no? :P
You can't really see the green, which is okay, I didn't want it to be overpowering. OH! Almost forgot, I put Lumi (from sugarpill as well) on the inner corner to get that sexy teal duochrome. =^_^=
The eyeliner on my eye lid is from MiA BelleZZa in Mocha and I used Urban Decay Perversion on my waterline and I also tight lined with it.
Per mascara, this is my first time using the Korres mascara. I'm not sure which one it is, but it's a travel sized one.

That's my eye look that I am doing for this party! Now I've got to go get dressed and brush my toofs. I hope you all have an amazing Saturday! xx

CVS Nail Polish Haul

Hello everyone!

I did have a post set for well, yesterday actually but I've been feeling a bit under the weather and I'm not sure why. I'm not sick but I just feel blah. Anyhoodles, I went to CVS yesterday on the search for Wet n Wild Clear nail polish or at least NYC Clear nail polish and seriously, anyone else seeing this trend but I've been to a couple of Walgreens and they are completely out of the Clear WnW Wild Shine polish. Really? Ugh, the woman wouldn't even go into the back and look so we just left and went to CVS, they only had ONE clear NYC polish. What's the deal? Lol, has there been some kind of clear polish shortage and I missed the memo? Almost every other brand I saw had no clear polish either. Bah!

So whilst there, I decided to pick up a few other polishes. NYC was buy 1 get 1 50% off and since those polishes are 99cents each, I couldn't pass it up. The Milani polishes were buy one get one 50% off as well and I've never tried Milani before. Granted I picked up glitter polishes to mix into other polishes, but that is beside the point at this present moment! :P The Spoiled polishes were 2 for $3, those I definitely couldn't pass up. The ONE Spoiled polish that I wanted was half gone and still sitting on the display. .. really? Bah oh well. As per the Revlon nail polish it was 75% off, that bad boy I couldn't pass up! :P  I had a $4 any $12 beauty purchase so I used that and my total came out to a little over $15. Which, in my opinion I don't think is too bad. I really do like the NYC polishes.

French White Tip is a nice white, it is kind of streaky, but it does the job that I need it to do. So far I have THREE bottles of this!
Starry Silver Glitter are the two bottles on the right. I REALLY love this polish. I think I've got 2 other bottles , plus an empty one...so in total I think I have had 5 bottles. I told you I love it :P

This is the first time I've tried any of these colors. So far it's going good except for the black. It's not exactly black and it's sheer. It's kind of odd, as you can tell in the bottle it's not a true black, nor is it a creme as the bottle suggests!
The Extra Shiny Top Coat, is a derp on my part, I thought it was a plain clear coat, but once again it's been good to me so far!
As for Fuchsia Shock and Pink Promenade (The entire time I had this, I thought it said pomegranate fail!) These two have been gorgeous too me! Mix them together and oh my goodness! It's like a pink heaven.

\
Per these being my first two Milani polishes I don't have much of an opinion as of yet. These are hexagon glitters and they don't have unique names at all. Silver and Red.. yes those are the names. The red is from the Jewel FX collection but the silver is not. I'm not sure why considering its the exact same polish but different glitter. C'est la vie.

So far, I have been enjoying Spoiled polishes. This is my second bottle of Pearly White Teeth and the one on the right at this moment, I can't remember the name. I've never tried this one before but like the glitter combination. HOWEVER, I'm not too thrilled with the suspension base. As you can tell the glitter is compacted as the bottom and the base is ontop. The only reason there is glitter floating up top is because I was jiggling it around. Tis all. I've not tested this, but I will get back to you!

As for my last polish
This was the 75% off polish. It's a gorgeous pink color and it's called Jelly. I've not tried it as of yet.. in complete honesty, my nails haven't been painted in a few weeks because I have been mixing polishes. Shame shame.

So this is my nail polish haul! I'm definitely going to be picking up a LOT more NYC polishes and I need to get some Wet n Wild polishes (I seriously have a LIST of the ones I need/want) I can do another "haul" then if you want!

I hope you all are having an amazing week!

BzzAgent Schick Hydro Silk® Razor

Happy Friday! Gorgeous!

So, I really dropped the ball on this review, I really thought I had it already written in my notebook. NOPE! There is a total of 3 actual blog posts written in the notebook and about 10+ pages of nail polish formulas. Shame on me!

Those of you know about BzzAgent (if you don't check out bzzagent.com) what it's about and about the campaigns etc. I fortunately was offered a position in the Schick razor campaign, which I am thankful for because I desperately needed a new one! Chris was getting annoyed because I keep using his! D: (pft men!)

To be completely honest, I am not picky at all about what razor I use. No shame in that, I don't care if it's made for women or men. The only thing that I am really picky about it that it has to have more than 2 blades or I feel like it's pretty useless, but that is just me. This bad boy (or girl) has 5 blades, so I am a pretty happy camper. Since I knew this was coming, but I didn't know when it was going to be here I didn't shave my legs, or anything really because I wanted to test it. No point in getting it then waiting for your hair to grow.. so figure my hair grew for about 2 weeks, it wasn't anything special but it was to the point it was annoying me. I tried to get a picture (gross I know) to show you the length of the hair, but the damn camera wouldn't focus. Oh well! Chris is going to let me test it on him >D Muhahahaha.. lol... but we've not had the time. (busy bees) Enough about my hair legs :P

I was not sure what to expect when it came to this razor honestly. I want to talk about the blade and the handle before I get into anything else. The handle in my opinion is a bit weird, it has a weird angle too it. Not that it is a problem, but it just has a very weird gold, at least for myself it does. The head/blade swivels so it will definitely hug all of your curves and what not when shaving. The sheer size of the head though did worry me. I've found that every time I use a razor with a head that big, I ALWAYS knick my legs without bloody fail. Thankfully, I didn't knick my legs (or anything else for that matter) ONCE with this, kudos for that. As for the whole "moisture strips" thing-a-majigger, I'm not too fond of it. I don't really mind it, but they always dry my legs out more. The moisturizer in this isn't too bad, but I just don't like how it's placed on the head. Honestly, if you don't dry the razor off after you use it, the moisturizer basically dissipates out of the holes. Per the holes, it's kind of gross but their hairs that are small enough to get in, basically COLLECT there. Bloody hell. There isn't even a way to get them out.

As for how the shave was, eh. I had to go over the same spot twice honestly just to get a good shave. There was still a bit of stubble left on my legs after one pass. I'm not disappointed in this razor, I do feel that it has some faults, but all around it is a decent razor. I honestly can deal with the whole having to go over the same spot twice, that doesn't bother me. This does make your legs feel absolutely fantastic, until the moisurizer dries, then I suggest using your own lotion, because my lefts felt like a desert. I did shave every place a woman shaves.. (it needed to be said) to test this out and it was okay. Once again, not my favorite. I did find that this worked fantastically on my underarms, but it made the hair that grew back in other places, kind of uncomfortable, because of the way it cut the hair. We shant say more on that subject.

With that being said. I feel like this razor could be improved on, but it is decent enough for me to continue using and potentially buy new head replacements for. (if they aren't ungodly expensive. I've not looked as of yet.. prices will be at le bottom) I bloomin' hate giving such a meh review about things, which is probably why this has taken me a long time to type, since I never wrote it beforehand. I have used this razor a couple of times (3 times) and the moisture strips at the top and bottom are almost gone. I'm not sure how long they are supposed to last, but they were about half gone after the first use. If that is any type of help regarding the moisturizing aspect. I do want to thank BzzAgent and Schick for giving me the opportunity to try this product!

This retails for between $6-$10 depending on if you buy the one that comes with the shower hanger and extra blade or the one that comes with 1 blade and the handle. The cartridge refiles are around $15. Meh honestly, that's why I don't buy razors that require refills. The prices are extremely too high in my opinion.

Anyways, have you tried this razor before? I'd love to know what your opinions are of this.

Disclaimer: I received this product for FREE from BzzAgent and Schick for my honest and unbiased review. All opinions are my own.
