Sayy whaat?! Where I have been

Hello everyone!

Okay, I know that I've not been MIA that long, but my posting has kind of slowed down a lot.
Chris and I just recently moved and I had pictures taken for blog posts, but I didn't realize how close to the end of the month it was! Holy crap I kept taking stuff from the house to the apartment thinking we had at least another week or two and next thing I knew, we had 2 days. Whhhat?! Yeah surprise to me!

So Chris and I at the moment are in a small room until we can get the house done. Then I will have my own "office" where I can get blog posts done and get some videos finally! Woot! Excitement that we're buying a house!

This weekend (June 1-3) I'm going to be in Orlando. I'm going to try and get a couple posts done while I'm there or before I go. I'm not going to be doing much that Sunday (the second) except for seeing a bunch of ladies from the Beauty Bloggers Of Central Florida group. That is what I am most excited about! This weekend is going to be much needed (although I am going to be working 2 out of the 3 days, but still) Chris isn't going but I'm going to be with my Sister and SURPRISE my Dad. LOL. So it's definitely going to be entertaining because my Dad will be there.

I just wanted to update everyone on what has been going on! I'm going to bust some booty and get some blogs up! I've got a "haul" to do which is exciting. My I'm thinking maybe a collective haul after the weekend.. just in case.

May 2013 Ipsy Bag!

Hey everyone!

For today's Ipsy bag, there are some missing products in it... Well one of them I had to give to my sister. I'm highly allergic to Gardenia's and I was "blessed" with getting the Pacifica Tahitian Gardenia roll on perfume, needless to say it was out of the apartment within minutes of it entering. Yeck.

Onto a happier note. The contents!

This is the bag for this month. I really think that it is cute! 

I don't know what the theme is for this month, I never got the card that normally comes in the bag. It's all good though!

FOTD 17

I don't have a fancy name for this one. This post was supposed to go up 3 days ago. I blame moving... 
Today I am having one of those nights though. My Naked 2 palette fell a little bit ago and my Blackout shadow SHATTERED beyond repair and a few others came loose. So depressing! I Lurved Blackout too! :( Ugh. I am grateful that I didn't lose more, but seriously! Why tonight, I was already having an iffy night. Ugh.. Onto the post though!

Since Chris and I are moving, all of my makeup is at my parents house and I only have my Naked palettes and a few other shadows. As you can tell, I didn't go crazy.

Rimmel Apocalips FINALLY In The US?!

Hey everyone!

Quick post, but I just saw on Nouveau Cheap's blog that the Rimmel Apocalips are FINALLY in the US!
They're called Rimmel Show Off Lip Lacquer though, but it's the same packaging!

Why they changed the name I don't know. However, I'm insanely excited. I've got one of them (Apocalips) and it's amazing! Rose did a fantastic job picking it out! I'm insanely happy that they are finally here, now I can get them all!

There will be 14 shades in the US while the UK only has 8 of them.
If you don't want to go searching the stores for them They are ALREADY available at drugstore.com and also Walgreens.com but from what I have seen most are sold out on Walgreens.
Drugstore.com has them for $5.49 and Walgreens has them as $4.99. I'm definitely waiting until they come in store. Maybe I'll check around Orlando when I am there! :P

Oh! For reference, I have Celestial. It's the same US/UK. I'll do a post tomorrow on it because all of my makeup is not at the apartment so I don't have it D: #sucks

Zoya Blu

Hey everyone!

Blu is from Zoya's Lovely for Spring 2013 collection. Blu is a pale pastel blue color with a cream finish.

When I first saw this color, I wasn't sure what to think of it, I don't have ANY pale blue shades like this, or really any blues in my collection (shame on me).

I want to warn you before we get farther into the post. Don't judge my application skills, I seriously applied this in half darkness with only my computer screen as a light. I don't suggest it, but that is how I did it. So it's kind of messy. Don't be too harsh on me!! *shields self*

My Thoughts:

This serum is nice, but I feel that it definitely would be better suited for people with dryer skin. Since I have oily skin I don't think that this is completely perfect for me. While I do really think that this is fantastic, it just did not agree with my skin. I actually felt that it made me a bit more oily. I used this at night because I felt that it would suit me better than using it twice a day. When I woke up my skin felt nice and silky, but it was a bit greasy. 

I do really like that this isn't weighted down with ingredients, I mean 4! That is pretty awesome! I feel that this is priced reasonably considering what it does. Although it did make my skin feel nice, I just don't think it's for me. 

As per the packaging... I'm kind eh about it. I'm not an insane fan of the dropper because if you aren't insanely careful you will get too much. Other than that it is okay.

ORLY Megapixel FX - Aqua Pixel

Hello!

I've been really enjoying doing these nail polish posts! :D I've bought about 15 bottles of nail polish in the past 2 weeks honestly. I think my addiction is back into full swing! 

ORLY's Megapixel FX collection is their version of textured polishes. This is my first textured polish, I would love to try the other ones, but that will have to wait! :( (sad)

The Nail polish that we are going to be talking about today is Aqua Pixel. The color is exactly as the name says. This nail polish reminds me of being out 10+ miles out from land on a boat in the Gulf Of Mexico. This is so pretty and reminds me of the water! The textured aspect of this polish isn't anything crazy, it's actually a really fine texture that isn't annoying.

FOTD 16 Bold Eye Liner!

I hope you all are doing well!
This is the eye look that I wore yesterday (May 17th). I wanted to do something simple, but use a "bold" eyeliner.

I'm a little frazzled on how this turned out. One moment everything was okay and the next minute there was bumps, lumps and smudges! Seriously. it's my luck! When I started taking pictures everything looked good, then by the end of it, it went downhill. Pft.

It's all good though. it's not crazy noticeable unless you are in my face.

Blurry, but you kind of get the point of the look right?

I wanted the blue eyeliner to be the main focus of my eyes, I didn't make it crazy because it's pretty bold itself. I've had this eyeliner a long time but never tried it because I was too afraid it would compete with my blue eyes, but I quite like it! :D Whoopie!

I used the Maybelline Shine Free Pressed Powder in Soft Cameo and dusted it all over my face. 

I'm testing this but so far am not impressed.

Have you tried a bold eyeliner before?!

China Glaze - Modify Me

Hola!

I have another polish from China Glaze's Transitions collection! This polish was not as disappointing as the other one I talked about! I also got this on clearance for $3.29 which isn't bad at all.

Modify Me is a cornflower blue that shifts to a darker purple to almost like a royal blue. I'm pretty happy with this polish because out of the two this has the most distinct color change. Which makes me happy.
This polish has a subtle shimmer to it, which is really nice. The one thing that I found with this is that the formula was very thin, almost watery, which is okay. It didn't flood into the cuticles though, which I appreciate. This is definitely a two coater.

This is without a top coat. I also know that this is a horrible swatch. Don't even ask me what happened! One minute they look nice then next it's like BAM you mess them up and have no idea how because you haven't moved. I'll definitely work on trying to get better quality ones. A lot of the time for nail pictures I have to use my old phone...

FOTD 15 Nudie pahtootie

Hello Buttercups!

I hope you all are doing well!

Today's look was a relatively quick one! All I was doing today was bathing the dogs, cleaning the bathroom, and doing a few other bits and bobs outside.

As you can tell this was a pretty neutral eye look, I didn't want anything too crazy or bright.

China Glaze Metallic Metamorphosis

Hola!

Today I have swatches of one of the China Glaze Transitions Nail Polish that came out late 2012. I've been DYING to get my hands on some of these, but haven't been able to find them until I went to Sally's today. My Sally's has been hiding their clearance section as of late, today this bad boy was sitting on a table right inside the door! SCORE! I snatched up this one and one other one which we will swatch later! I paid $3.29 for this. *dances*

I have quite a few pictures so I hope they look okay! :D

This polish is Metallic Metamorphosis. It is gunmetal grey metallic shimmer. It's supposed to transition to a blue toned gunmetal grey with the addition of a top coat. I want to make mention that all pictures were taken inside under a daylight light bulb (greatest invention ever!) The pictures are pretty true to color for the most part. They come out a little darker, but barely.

Chris found my memory card so I can actually do NOTD posts and finally get around to some swatches! I've actually managed to collect polishes that I have yet to try! I've got untried polishes! Squee! Okay, I know that is not something to be excited about, but damn I am excited!

These two polishes I've worn once but never managed to get them to last long because I used too thick of coats and they took ages to dry! Le sigh. Don't you hate that?!

I have no idea what happened to my ring finger. I didn't even notice that mark until I started watermarking the pictures -_-

FOTD 14

Hello Loves!

So, I don't have an excuse for being lax on the blogosphere. Chris and I worked almost the entire week trying to get the new house ready. Not going to lie, it was pretty damn strenuous on my muscles and body. I'm not used to doing that much work, or that hard of work anymore. Needless to say for the past 2 days I've not left the couch. It's a good burn but ugh it hurts to move :P. It also took my want to really do anything blog-wise. Terrible but I was so exhausted! So now I am here, noming on some french fries (don't judge) and just all around going to type up a few posts. :) I hope they don't disappoint! :P

When you are feeling drab what is the first thing you do to make yourself feel better?

Me? I take a shower then do some eye makeup! What is better than that!

I know most people take a day for themselves, do a face mask, etc. But not for me. Maybe later in the day I will manage to actually do a FULL manicure, but who knows! :P

China Glaze Strap On Your Moonboots

Hello Lovelies! 

Before I even bother to get into this post, I want to say ignore my cuticles like they aren't even there. They were doing SO GOOD and looking nice for once, then we went bowling.. -_- Bowling is h.e.l.l. on cuticles, on both of my hands, my cuticles were even bleeding. Ugh. 

Enough aboot that!

Strap On Your Moonboots is the polish that I was the MOST disappointed with in my last haul post. In the bottle it isn't that crazy of a holographic polish, but on the nails it's not as bad. The holographic-ness of the polish comes out a bit more but it's still faint. It kind of reminds me of those holographic cards from the 90s. :P 

If you have never tried any of China Glaze's holographic polishes then I will fill you in a bit on their formula. This formula is exactly the same as their Tronica collection from 2011. The formula is VERY thin, it wont flood your cuticles, but it will dry very quickly. That is one thing I do happen to love about the holographic's is how quickly they dry. Typically you only need 2 coats, 3 at the most.

Bowling Outfit Of The Day! MY FIRST ONE!

Hello everyone!

Okay, I don't know what came over me, most of the time I am very against taking full body shots of myself. Call it a confidence thing. I have a very limited wardrobe and it greatly affects my confidence and wanting to post OOTD's etc. So normally I avoid them LIKE THE PLAGUE! No lie. 

Seriously though, I've talked with a few people and my wardrobe is my biggest issue. I really only own baggy t-shirts and it kind of makes me feel meh. Not only that but some of them are so old and worn that they are getting holes in them. NO me gusta mucho! Today though I just decided what the hell, I want to do an Outfit of the day! It's nothing exciting, Chris my brother and I are going bowling in about 45 minutes so I wanted to be pretty comfortable.

I hope you are doing fantastic! 

Today is one of those days in Florida where it's kind of dank and rainy out, I'm not going to lie, it's kind of one of my favorite kinds of days. I'm not much of a heat/sunshine kind of girl. *shields self* I think I turned into that kind girl when I found out all of my allergies, so I kind of just stay inside to not deal with the allergy issues, which doesn't help lol. I need to get a crap load of allergy medicine. Hah!

Today's FOTD wasn't really inspired by anything Chris and my Brother want to go bowling today and I didn't want to wear anything too crazy because it's going to get hot in the bowling alley. Don't want to sweat away some boss eye makeup LOL. Really though, I opted for a neutral eye today.

This is definitely NOT the shirt that I plan on wearing, I kind of forgot to change it before I decided to oomph my hair up and do my makeup lol. Figures I would be the "genius" to do that :P

Nail Polish Haul!

Hey everyone!

When I BOUGHT all of these polishes earlier, I was EXTREMELY excited to finally get my hands on a few new China Glaze and ORLY polishes. After I got home, I looked up swatches (I went into Sally's not knowing what I wanted) and I realized how extremely underwhelmed I was at the China Glaze nail polishes that I bought. :( 

This Holographic polish from China Glaze (Strap On Your Moon Boots) I realized this was going to be the polish that I was MOST disappointed in. When I first picture the bottle up, I knew it wasn't that holographic, but I figured the swatches would be different. I looked  up a few different bloggers and it's subtle. If you remember China Glaze's Tronica collection from 2011, THOSE are way way more holographic then this entire collection is.
