Klout Purina Dog Chow Perk

Hey everyone!

So, I have another perk for you from Klout! I still need to upload my gud video!

I first off want to state that I have absolutely NO affiliation with Purina at all. The only affiliation I have with Klout is being a member/influencer on it. I was given a free product or sample because I am a Klout influencer. I am under NO obligation to recieve the sample or talk about this company. I get no additional benefit for talking about the product or company.

To receive this perk you needed to have a Klout score over 40 and you had to have a medium score in Dogs, Pets, Moms, Parenting.

Take a wild gander which one I had a medium influence in! Moms! I have no idea how, but I do!

So onto the perk. I  received in the mail today (3.31.12) the Purina Dog Chow perk! I honestly was so excited!!

Everything came in this bubble mailer.

( I blacked out my Info and Klouts info as well just for safety purposes)

Inside was the Adventures of TinTin movie, a Purina Dog Chow coupon, a pamphlet saying Congratulations for receiving the perk and a few other things, the Klout Influencer Code Of Ethics, and a note from Purina about an FTC Disclaimer.

(on a side note, as I am typing this I have the movie in. I wanted to watch it as I typed this blog post up, so I can review it after.)

So as you can tell, I received a coupon for a free 20 pound or less bag of Purina Dog Chow!

(Now, on another side note, I have 2 dogs. A Chocolate Lab and a Lab/Shar pei mix. So you better bet your katucka, this is getting used.)

On the left is Kyri she is the lab/shar pei mix.

On the right is Rosie.

Kyri is my Dog and Rosie is my Dads.

Unfortunately my apartment complex doesn't allow dogs.

Bet ya'll didn't know I had a dog. haha

Anyways, they LOVE Alpo. Now, me having a blonde moment (like the blonde I am) forgot that Alpo was by Purina. So, my two ladies will be extremely happy!!!

They have been eating Also... lord since we got Rosie when I was in Middle school, and since Kyri was born.  (Kyri is a pup of Rosies)

(if you are curious about why Kyri looks bad in the picture with Rosie, she has some serious allergies and loses her fur off and on. We have tried a lot for it and it still happens -_- So please don't think she is abused)

Anyways, they both LOVE Alpo, they actually refuse to eat anything else. I also love feeding it to them, they get so excited when its time to eat!  We typically go to Sams Club and buy the HUGE 50 pound bags, because they are not little dogs haha and eat a lot xD.

Now, I am not going to lie, I never had heard of the Adventures of TinTin, before this perk. Then again, if they talked about it on TV, I don't have Cable anymore, we actually got rid of it, because we never watched it.
As for the movie, I think I am about half way through it and its actually really a good movie. I am enjoying it! I actually plan on taking it to my parents house when we go over, so they can watch it and my nephew can. I know my Grandmother will enjoy it because she LOVES movies like this! I love this movie honestly, it made me laugh so hard that its not even funny.

I am extremely grateful that I was able to receive this perk. I know my dogs will love it just as much as I do!

I want to personally thank Klout and especially Purina Dog Chow for this opportunity!!

Please check out and LIKE Purina Dog Chow's Facebook HERE

Disclaimer!! :In no way am I affiliated with Purina Dog Chow. I received this product for FREE from Klout and Purina. All opinions are true and MY OWN.  They are not paying me and I am not receiving ANY compensation or any additional benefits for doing this review.

MAC Studio Fix SPF15 Foundation

Starting out with all of the info I am sure you all just "want" to know!

The color I have is NC15, which is MAC's lightest shade.

It has an SPF15 (obviously since its in the name) and is UVA/UVB, which is good that it covers both.

It contains 30 mL or 1 fl oz of foundation.

It is $27 USD or with tax is comes out to $32. But, the price varies where you are located.

There are 30 shades in total between the NC and NW categories.

It has a Natural matte finish.

Up to 8 hours of wear time.

Medium to build-able coverage.

Oil-Free (which is a huge plus for me)

----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now to the good part!

I wont lie, I bought this foundation on a whim, I needed a new foundation. However, I did do a lot of research into this foundation before I bought it.  With tax included it was $32, so I didn't want to spend that kind of money on something I wouldn't like or not be able to use! That is too much money in my opinion! Bah.

Even though I have had this foundation since November 2011, and it is currently the end of February 2012 when I am currently typing this. I am still trying to find a good way to apply this foundation! If I use too much even in the slightest bit, it looks cakey on me! Even using the minimalist amount! Its terrible! I really am having such an issue with this foundation! That is even after taking the time to prep my skin with primer and things of that nature. I really don't know what it is. Ive tried using my fingers (clean of course), brushes, sponges. This just will not work with me! Its so frustrating!

As for the coverage, the reason I bought this, was because the woman in MAC said that it was FULL coverage, even on a few of the sites I went too said this was full coverage. So, I was excited. Let me just say, this is not full coverage at all. Full coverage is supposed to cover EVERYTHING. This.. just covers enough that it makes my skin look more even than it really is. I am honestly just really disappointed in this foundation!

While, I still think that it is an okay foundation, I wont see me purchasing it again. There are a few other reasons though. After wearing it for an hour or two, it starts to make my skin extremely itchy, although I am not allergic to it at all, I am not sure what it is. Its not very nice when you are out and you are trying to not itch your face! Bah! Another thing is, it feels like it just SITS ontop of my skin. It doesn't blend into my skin well at all and you can tell that I have foundation on.

[slideshow]

I feel like I can't recommend this to people in all honesty. I just feel like I would be wasting their money, since I have not had so much luck with it! Then again, everyone has different skin and everyone's skin reacts differently to everything. So at the same time, I can't tell you to NOT buy it. All I can suggest is see if you can get a sample of it before you buy. Don't just buy it before you try it like I did. That is what I honestly recommend to you all!'

Clean Start By Dermalogica Ready, Set, Scrub!

Im going to start with all of the details before I get into my review of it. :)

So, as normal, you can purchase this on CleanStart's website , Ulta / Ulta.com or find a location near you that sells it!

This retails for $21.00 for 2.5 FL oz. or 75 mL
It's a masque, it's a scrub, it's a breakout-fighting, pore-refining duo that delivers smoother, clearer, and fresher skin.

That is what the Clean Start website says. I have to say that I 100% agree with that statement. Although I didn't get to use this product as much as I would like too, I still loved it! It says to use it in the a.m., 3-5 times a week. Unfortunately with the size that is given in the kit, there was not much for me to be able to use it 3-5 times a week. It would have been gone within 2 weeks. So I rationed it out and as I type this, I still have just enough for 1 more use. I used it maybe once ever couple weeks.

With this you wash your face then you spread a smooth layer over your face, just like with any other mask and you let it dry for 5-7 minutes, or longer if you wish. Then you wet your fingers and you gently start to massage it into your face, in circular motions. After you finish, you wash it off of your face (like normal).

The color of it is grey-ish white color, you can't tell that it will be exfoliating until you start to place it on your skin. Its VERY gentle. Its kind of like rubbing fine beach sand on your face. Its not scratchy feeling at all. And like the other products in this kit, it has a mild citrus scent to it. Its very very lovely!

Sorry for the blurry picture.

So, now you can see what I mean by the color. :) Better seen then described in my opinion! When You let it sit on your face it doesn't exactly harden, that would be a bit weird. I would feel like a stone statue in the shower. Hahah. As it sits I can feel it working its feels very cooling and just overall extremely lovely.

This unfortunately is one of the products that I have not purchased the full size of. Why? Right now I honestly don't have the money, but I do plan on purchasing the full sized! Its a really nice masque/cleanser/exfoliator. I really do love this product. I typically follow up with the Welcome Matte SPF15 and the All Over Clear. I've not experienced any dryness or anything of that nature from using this.

It makes my skin feel nice, soft and it does help to diminish the look of my pores. But it wont get rid of them, nothing can ever get rid of large pores, unfortunately! Haha Don't we all wish that could happen!

I hope you all enjoyed this review! Let me know what you think of this product down below! Do you want to try it? Have you tried it!? I would love to know!

WEN Sweet Almost Mint Cleansing Conditioner

This is a product that I got out of my, My Glam bag, I dont remembe which month, I believe January. As you can tell, it is a deluxe sample.
What is a cleansing conditioner? Well its basically a shampoo/conditioner together. It is sulfate free.
This is what the back of the tube says
"Rinse hair thoroughly. Apply to your scalp, massage vigorously, and add a splash of water to create a foaming effect. WEN has no detergents or Sodium Laurel Sulfate, so it wont lather. Massage vigorously for 1-3 minutes, comb through hair, and leave on at least 3-5 minutes, for maximum conditioning. Comb through and rinse hair thoroughly, massaging scalp and running fingers through to the ends. Apply a small amount as a leave in conditioner."

On the website it says that this should be the first thing you put on and the last thing you wash off in the shower. The longer it stays on the better the results.

Now, with smelling this, I can smell more mint than the almond. You do have to use a pretty big amount of product, just for it to do what it needs to do, so I could see if you were to spend that kind of money.

Just for the conditioner alone its $49.50. That is WAY too much for a cleansing conditioner, I don't care how good it is. So I defintely DO NOT plan on buying this. I wasnt too thrilled with the results from it anyways.
I have an oily scalp and this just made it feel more oily, or it got oily quicker. Which is not good in my book. :( I feel like I want to love it, but just can't honestly. Maybe if you didn't have an oily scalp this would work fantastically on you, but for me, its a no go. :( This is very thick in consistency, so you would think that you don't need a lot, VERY wrong. Since this is the only thing you use in place of Shampoo AND Conditioner. When smelling it on the back of my hand at first it smells a lot like the Vicks Vapor rub., but after a minute or so, it dies down and you can start to get the almond in it.

With this being Sulfate free, it wont lather, so just keep that in mind when using this, if you do have it or do plan on purchasing it! I personally just do not feel like its worth the money you would be spending!

Disclaimer: I got this as a deluxe sample in my MyGlam January bag. :) I am not being payed or sponsored, nor was I obligated to do this review!

Clean Start By Dermalogica Bedtime For Breakouts

So sad that this Clean Start by Dermalogica series is almost over! Its going by quicker than I thought it would! I hope you all are enjoying these posts as much as I am enjoying typing them up for you all!

So as always, the  information. You can find buy Clean Start from ::

  1. Dermalogica

  2. Ulta

  3. or find a salon near you

This post is going to be all about the Bedtime For Breakouts  lotion. Wait, is it a lotion? Its more of like a gel, I guess, but not at the same time. Hm! Conundrum! Hahah.

So just like a few others, the active ingredient is 2.0% Salicylic Acid. If you don't like using Salicylic Acid, then these products are not for you, which is a bummer because they are
AWESOME! This is another one of those products that I have not ran out of yet.. Well, when I wash my face tonight (3.15.12) I will be officially out!

╚(^_^)╗

The Deluxe sample size that I have is 0.5 FL OZ or 15mL the full size is 2 FL OZ or 60mL.

This retails for $22.o0, which is not bad. May seem extreme to some of you, but hey, if it works then you will pay it! Its not as expensive as some of those other brands out there (who will remain nameless) that charge $60 just for a face wash. Pft!

This product, if you couldn't tell by the name, is to be used daily in the evening. So you go through your night time routine and put this on. It has an amber color to me and to me it smells like.. well the only way I can describe it is like an herbal tea. Its actually really nice. The smell would obviously come from the potent blend of botanical's that are inside of it. The smell is NOT overpowering and does not stay on your skin for long.

╔(^_^)╝

Now when you use this, let me warn you, at first it will be a little sticky as it sinks into your skin, but after that it goes away. Just like the All Over Clear this refreshes and cools down your face. its really lovely!

This is what the back of the bottle says:

This super stealth treatment delivers a potent blend of botanicals to wipe out future breakouts lurking below the surface. Contains no artificial fragrance or color.

It also says

Only you and your pillow know: Before going to sleep, blend a thin layer into cleansed skin and allow to absorb.

Now, this does NOT leave a tint on your skin at all, so you wont have to worry about that at all. Like I said previously, it sinks into your skin pretty quickly and its like a little army of acne fighters that keep your acne or get rid of it completely as you sleep! Which is pretty awesome that it does it in your sleep!

╚(^_^)╗

Now, I will not lie, I don't use this every night. Why not? I wanted to make this last as long as I could! And sadly I am out of it. So I will definitely  be needing to order this or head up to Ulta and buy some. I need to pick up a backup of the Wash Off and a couple more, so I will have to do that when I have the money, because as of right now, I have about $4 and that wont get me ANYTHING. Heh.

╔(^_^)╝

All in all, I really like this product and I feel that it does EXACTLY what it says its supposed to do. It fights future breakouts that are lurking below the surface of your skin, it also helps to calm the redness on my face actually. Not much, but enough to notice and that it always a plus in my book!

I hope that you all enjoyed this review! Let me know what you think down below!

First ever NOTD/NOTW

So this is my first ever Nail of the Day/Nail of the week!

I might do this every Saturday night! :D Haven't decided yet

Im super excited about it too!
I just redid my nails and really wanted to share what they look like with you all!!!

[slideshow]

So as you can tell, most of them have the flash. A few don't. I only used the flash so the color would come out correct :)

What I used was ::

Orly Bonder basecoat

Orly Crawford's Wine (red)

China Glaze's Liquid Leather

Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Clear

Crawford's Wine, only took one coat! It is that Opaque! Baha.

Instead of using a top coat, I use a clear polish, because with some top coats it tends to chip my polish instantly, with a clear polish I can get it to last a couple days. :)

Oh ! You'r going to need some scotch tape also!

So you can get the top part of your nail straight :)

I hope you all enjoyed!!<3

Let me know if you would like to see these every week!  I change my polish about once or twice a week!

Thank you!

Clean Start by Dermalogica Welcome Matte SPF15

This is one product that I have not yet purchased the full size of. Why? Its still has product! You really don't even need that much to cover your entire face and neck! That is what I call awesome!

(Update: I actually JUST ran out of this on 3.11.12 so its time to order more.. when I get the money :( !)

This is a moisturizer with oil controller that helps to minimize shine. It is ia lightweight lotion that in non-comodogenic or in lamens terms, it wont clog your pores! Which is another plus, we don't want our pores clogged with pesky breakouts!
As you can tell, this does have SPF in it, but you should still add extra sunblock just to get extra protection!

The active ingredients listed on the back are Octinoxate (7.5%) , Octisalate (5.0%), and Oxybenzone (3.0%)

The cream inside is white (obviously) and it has a slight smell, which I can best describe as sunscreen, but it does not smell as funky. It actually smells pretty good! It is not greasy at all, it actually sinks right into your skin very quickly! It doesn't give you a white or ghostly look, it actually dries clear. It is also more liquidy that cream. So be careful, you may accidentally squeeze out more than you want if you don't watch what you are doing!

This is one is one of the products out of the set that you only use once a day. In the A.M, which would be obvious since it has SPF in it. Why wear SPF to bed! Hahah. Silly, silly! You only need about a quarter size amount of this to use. Which doesn't seem like a lot, but really a little goes a long way. I apply this to my face and neck. If there happens to be any left out of what I don't use, I will even spread it down onto my chest, depending on what type of shirt I plan on wearing that day.
This product retails for $24 and is 2 FL OZ or 60 mL. Which if you actually think about it, its not bad at all for what it is! And with a little going a LONG way, it will last you a while!

You can purchase this at cleanstart.dermalogica.com / Ulta.com / or anywhere that sells Clean Start products.
Even though it is not an active ingredient this product also has Salicylic Acid in it to help clean out pores and banish breakouts while is helps to minimize shine and hydrate your skin.

Have you tried this?! Let me know what you think!

11 questions tag!

I was tagged by Marina and Lauren.

Im just going to answer all 22 questions, since they differ, plus, since I was tagged twice, I figured it would be a bit fun!

- You must post these rules.
- Each person must post 11 things about themselves on their blog.
- Answer the questions the tagger set for you in their post and create 11 new questions for the people you tag to answer.
- You have to choose 11 people to tag and link them on the post.
- Go to their page and tell them you have linked him or her.
- No tag backs.
- No stuff in the tagging section about 'you are tagged if you are reading this'. You legitimately have to tag 11 people.

:: Marina's Questions ::

1. Do you have any phobias or really dislike something?

Clean Start By Dermalogica All Over Clear

This is another one of the products out of the Clean Start kit that I purchased from cleanstart.dermalogica.com and have since repurchased.

The All Over Clear retails for $18.00 on Dermalogica's website, you can also find it at Ulta or at a salon located near you that carry's the Clean Start line.

There is 4 fl oz (120 mL) of product in the spray bottle. Thats seriously a lot! It may not seem a lot, but you just have to use two or three sprays of it day and night! Yes, this is another one of those products that is to be used day AND night!

Dermalogica's website says this "This refreshing mist splashes over skin to control shine and keep breakouts at bay. Instantly cools. Instantly refreshes."

I TOTALLY agree with that! When I get out of the shower and dry my face off, I spritz some of this on my face and it feels so cooling! Its really a lovely thing after being in a warm shower! As for the smell of it, when I had the smaller bottle that the kit came with, the smell was extremely strong to the point that it kind of burned my nose and I wouldn't breathe for about 30 seconds after I used this. So when I purchased the full size of this product, I was extremely surprised! The smell was not as strong which makes me happy. Even though I did not mind the smell of the travel sized bottle at all! It actually smells really lovely! It has kind of a citrus type smell to me.
Dermalogica's website also says "Sesame Seed Extract helps control surface oil and shine, especially in the T-zone. Licorice, Burdock, and Argan extracts help hydrate, calm, and shield skin from environmental exposure."

I totally stand by that claim! This spray DOES help control the surface oil on my face! And you all know I have oily skin so having something that will help control the oil and shine makes me extremely happy! Especially in the T-Zone, since my oiliest part of my face is my T-Zone, but more of my nose.  When I use this, is helps to calm my face, it really does. I can feel my face just relaxing and saying "ahhh" (lol) when I use this. Its really just an amazing product!

Not only had this helped control my oil, but its also helped to control my random breakouts that I get. Double duty products are super in my book!

Now as for the sprayer aspect of the bottle, its really interesting. Have you ever seen the tressame heat protectant spray? The sprayer is basically the same, but this one is a higher quality of plastic and is designed better, it is more sturdy.

This also has 0.5% Salicylic Acid in it as an active ingredient.

The Sesame Seed extract helps to control surface oil and shine.

The Licorice, Burdock and Argan extracts help hydrate, calm and shield the skin from environmental exposure! (which is always good!)

The Lemongrass that is in this helps to energize the skin and also helps to revive and tone your skin!

As you can tell, this product has a lot of stuff in it that is good for your skin!  Just like the Wash Off, you can use this product virtually anywhere to help reduce breakouts! I can honestly say that this product DOES work for me, because when I stop using it for any length of time, my face breaks out!

In a nut shell, I really LOVE this product and I can not rave or talk about it as much as I would absolutely love too! Its really that great!

Have you tried this or any of the other Clean Start products? Let me know!!
