Favs Friday!

Hey everyone!
So, I know a lot of bloggers do this ever Friday and I really love reading what they are loving this week, so I kinda of wanted to jump on the bandwagon because I thought it was a cool idea.

Basically what Favs Friday is, is just my favorites of the week. :) That is all. Haha. Pretty simple!

So my first favorite is Tiny Tower. Now when I first started playing this, it actually kind of annoyed me and now I enjoy it tons!

My second is another game, haha. It's called Oregon Settlers. I have it on my iPad, I'm not sure if it's available on android or computers. I've not looked. Basically you build a town up from nothing. It's really entertaining and it helps pass time!

Mario Badescu Glycolic Acid Toner. Now I have a review of this coming soon, but I absolutely LOVE this stuff! It helped to reduce the redness in my face and help even my skin tone out! So far it has been a miracle worker for me!

My last favorite thing of the week is Sorted Food. They are a bunch of friends in England who cook. Their meals are easy, fun, cheap. And the boys themselves are absolutely hilarious. This entire week, I have watched every episode on their youtube channel and on their website. They are funny as well! I've made quite a few of their recipes and they are amazeballs!

Those are really my only Favorites for this week. I know that I will probably have more next week.
I hope you all are having a lovely day or night!

Upcoming blog sale

Hey everyone! I know this post is going up very late, I am really sorry!

So, I really just wanted to let you all know that I am planning on doing a blog sale very soon. I am not going to give any exact dates because I have honestly not priced anything or really decided how I want to do it!

Payments and that sort will all be going through PayPal, I feel that is just easier to manage.

The stuff I plan on selling is going to be ranging from Drugstore to high end and everything will be reasonably priced.

A lot of the stuff I have only ever swatched once or used maybe a handful of times, if that, and I will make sure to sanitize EVERYTHING before it gets sent out, just for hygienic reasons.

I do have quite a few unopened products as well and I've not decided how to sell those, they wont be full price by any means, but I am just not sure how to price those.

The reason I have decided to do the blog sale really is to help pay for Chris and I's wedding, that is really the backstory behind it. :)

So, I will make another blog post when I am ready to start the sale! I hope you are all having a lovely day or night!

May 2012 MyGlam bag

So, this month's bag was apparently themed around "Love". I am not sure why they didn't just do this around Valentine's day, doing this bag in May seems a bit weird to me. I got my bag on May 16th.

So this month, I was not impressed with the bag at all. The bag itself is actually something I would never use. Its a baby-blue-ish bag with pink lips all over the bag. Its not something I would want to pull out of my bag and flash.

The rest of the contents in the bag were not too appealing either. This month we got Miss Beauty Nail Bling. They are kind of tacky and I can't use them on my nails and my Mom looked at me like I had 5 heads, when I asked if she wanted them. They are something I will never use and may use in an upcoming giveaway.

The next item is a sample of the Philosophy Love Sweet Love fragrance. I really actually love this scent, which surprised me. When I smelled it at Ulta, it actually gave me a migraine and smelt OVERLY floral, but this smells very nice.

The next to last thing is the Studio Gear Complete Color Intensely Professional Lipstick. Now, you all know I am not a lipstick person. I've swatched this on my hand and will probably disinfect it and give it away. The color I got was Blush Pink, and its more of a red pink to me.  The lipstick itself smells like play-doh to me. I know a lot of people got like a coppery brown color, or a poop brown color. Those are the only two I have seen. Now there are rumors going on that these are all discontinued lipsticks. I don't know if that is true, but I am not going to go investigate because I could personally care less. I would be happy if I had a discontinued lipstick, because no one else would be able to get it. Thats a me thing though.

The last item's are the brushes. These are supposed to be the last 2 brushes in the set. I know a lot of people found the same exact brushes from a company in China I believe that are about $0.20 a brush, or something like that. Not that I care because I actually like the brushes. There is only 1 brush that I don't like and thats the first one.

All in all, I am not very happy with this months bag. Im not sure many people are. Although, the bags wont please everyone, I just found everything in the bag, pretty cheap and there seemed to be no real thought to this month.

Did you get a Glam bag? What was your opinion of it? Are you going to cancel or hope the bags get better?

May 2012 BeautyArmy box

I got my box on May 22nd this month. That is just about normal for BeautyArmy with me, it always takes about 2 weeks for my box to finally get to me.

This month BeautyArmy started offering Men's products, so of course, I had to jump on that! I picked 3 Men's products for Chris and 3 products for me. Thankfully he is willing to try them out and let me know what he thinks, so I can let you ball know! :D

So the box is like it was last month, it doesn't have the words all over it, which is A-Okay with me! Inside is the normal navy blue and pink tissue paper.

The 3 products that I chose for Chris were the Dude Wash, Anchorman's Sex Panther Cologne and lastly the Institut Karite 20% Shea Butter Hand Cream. Chris really isn't into hand cream's so I think I might wind up trying this or maybe seeing if my Dad would like it.

The 3 products I chose for myself were the LA Fresh Oil-Free Face Cleanser wipe, Clear Prep FX Matte Foundation Primer and Anti-Acne Treatment Gel, and the Weleda Refining Toner.

I am excited to try out my samples, they are all each pretty huge!  The hand Cream itself is 1 FL oz and is HUGE! I was pretty surprised at the size, but I am excited.

I will let you all know what happens with them later on! :)

Review: EBOOST Natural Energy Powder

Hey everyone!

So this is another one of those Klout perks, and this just so happens to be one that I regret. The perk was the EBOOST Natural Energy Powder that you mix into water. I was actually pretty excited for this, until I tasted it.

Now, keep in mind, that this is just my experience, other people may absolutely love this stuff, I on the other hand, just can't love it. I wish that I could because I love the concept. When I first put this in the water, it reminded me of the Emergen-C powder, but this was NOTHING like it.

I actually had to FORCE myself to drink this, it was that horrid. I can stomach emergen-C, but not this. I literally had to do chasers with this, and use a straw. So every time I took a huge drink, I had to drink something else just to be able to get it down. I have never had a drink or anything for that matter, physically make me gag. :( All in all when I finally finished the glass, I was on the phone with my Dad and wound up having to pass the phone off because I had the urge to just up-chuck what I had just drank.

*shudders* I'm not sure why, but this just did not settle into my stomach at all, so I am glad that I got this as a perk and didn't spend my own money on it. As bad as that sounds.

Now, I am not saying Don't go buy this. I am just saying, if you do, be careful and save the receipt, just in case. I love the concept of this, but it's just not for me, unfortunately. :( I really wanted to love this stuff, I really did, but I just couldn't handle it!

The foam that stay ontop of it, had such a weird texture that its kinda gross, I'm not sure how to explain it, it feels grainy, but it likes to stick to the sides of your mouth and throat. As for the smell, it smells like HIGHLY burnt orange, very overpowering. :( As for the taste, I am not sure that I can describe it. Its just... *shudders* really gross, in all honesty. It kinda of turned me off to artificial orange.

Have you all tried this before? Did you like it or did you have an experience like mine?

May 2012 Birchbox

Hey everyone!
So instead of filming this video, I just decided to write up a blog post, I'm not sure why, but I just didn't like how the videos kept coming out like crap. No idea why, but I just thought it would be better to type up a blog post. I got my box on the 16th of this month.

May's Birchbox was a Special Theme and it was Gossip Girls. I've never watched Gossip Girls in my life, so that theme had no effect on me. :P hah. Anyways, I had already known what was going to be in my box and was already disappointed in my box, before I had even gotten it. So I had kind of spoiled it for myself, which was okay. At least I wouldn't be disappointed in it more when I actually received it!

There were I don't know how many different combinations of boxes. Mine had 4 items, where others at up to 6 and a full-sized item.

The outside box this month was Black instead of the normal color that it is. I actually like that black box better. There was also a wrap around the box showcasing the Gossip Girl's showtime. I thought the wrap was pretty cute as well with the city backdrop.

As for the tissue paper on the inside, it was a mustard yellow, I actually kind of like it! There was also the typical pink tissue paper with the brown ribbon on the extra little package they always wrap up separately.

This is what everything looks like inside of my box, it was already unwrapped by the time I took the pictures :).

The first item I received was the Bvlgari Omnia Crystalline Eau de Toilette Spray sample. The full-sized retails from $47-$64. On the website they showed the $64 one, for some odd reason. I knew it was going to be a sample, so I thought it was just odd. The sample size is 0.05 fl. oz.

The next thing in my box was the Fresh Sugar Rose Tinted Lip Treatment SPF 15.  I don't have a picture of the physical color of it, or it on my lips, it did not occur to me until now that I should have done that! Sorry gals. The full size of this is $22.50 at 0.15 oz. The sample is 0.08 oz.

The next thing was the Kiehl's Abyssine Cream +. I've never used anything by Kiehl's and I am honestly not even sure that I can use this on my skin. The full size of this is $48 at 1.69 fl. oz. The sample is 0.25 fl. oz.

The next to last thing is the Miracle Skin Transformer Body SPF 20 in Glow. It's a tinted treatment, but I am a little leery on using it because its not Oil Free, but I will have to look into it a bit more before I decide on what to do with it. The full size is $34 for 1.7 oz. and the sample is o.5 oz.

The Birchbox Extra this month was a Notecard. Nothing special, I guess. A set of 12 is $10 and I received 1.

In my personal opinion, this month was not too exciting as they had put it out there. I mean some people got full size Stila eyeliner and other things like that. I received a bunch of stuff I will probably never use or can't use. The lip balm is the only thing I have tried and probably can use. So this box was pretty disappointing in my opinion!

Do you all get a Birchbox? What did you all get this month? What was your opinion on it all? I would love to know!

May or May not

So you May or May not have been wondering where I've been. (see what I did there :P)

Well, in all honesty, I've been having major bloggers block. I have no idea what to write about, and even when I do have an idea, I will start to type it and BAM, I don't think its good enough for you all, so I delete it.

Honestly, I am going to widen my range of things I do on this blog. Its going to mainly be beauty, but there might be some bits and bobs thrown in throughout. :) Ever since my thumb, I've broken my schedule A LOT. So starting Monday May 21, 2012, the Schedule will be back up! I am going to take the next few days to type up blog posts, that way I have them ready! :) I just wanted to let you all know why I have been semi-MIA with my blogging. Heck I've even been MIA from Twitter and my computer for the past few days.

(I blame my DSi, we have rekindled our relationship :P)

I hope you all are doing very well!

Skin Care Help!

You know, I never thought I would see the day when I would have to change up my skin care, by how the seasons are here in Florida. Its weird! Maybe because I am trying to take better care of my skin and am more into skin care in the past year. Maybe that is the reason I am noticing all of the changes?!

I used my Dermalogica from October of 2011 to as of current I am still using the face wash, but I am noticing that it is not cleaning my skin or helping the oiliness, like it used too. Factors: Its not Fall/Winter anymore, so that would do it! I feel like I need a heavier cleanser or something to help me combat all of this jazzyness that comes with my oily skin, and the fact that in the Spring/Summer months, I sweat like crazy because its humid. So I am on the hunt for a new face wash. I will dearly miss my Dermalogica Clean Start, but I am sure that we shall meet again soon!

Now onto trying to actually find a new face wash! I have my eye on the new Philosophy Clear Days Ahead face wash, but I am not sure about it. I wish I could just get samples of the face washes that I want to try so I can see how they react on my skin! Does Sephora or Ulta even do that? No idea, I've never asked!

I honestly am kind of at a loss on where to start. Since I have combination oily, acne prone skin that tends to be sensitive a lot (damn allergies) I also have redness and hyper-pigmentation. I don't want a face wash that treats only acne because I have stuff for drying pimples out and I don't want to dry my face out more. ugh. Im so at a loss!

Do ya'll have ANY suggestions on where I should start, or products/brands I should look into!? That would be absolutely FAN-TASTIC!

Leave comments down below, tweet me, or even email me (can be found in my contact info) if need be! I am honestly up to trying anything.

Thank you all SO MUCH! for your suggestions!

Upcoming!

Hello everyone!

So, just a little update, I am trying to get back into the swing of blogging, I have been in such a writers block that its not funny! Thats why I have not updated in a while! I am really sorry! D:

So, I hope this is okay, but as of now, I had a debate with myself (at 530 am) and I decided to put myself on a ban. I am not going to be buying makeup unless I need it, which that would only be foundation.. and I am good probably till the end of the year. My reasoning for this is so I can hardcore start saving up for the wedding. I keep buying frivolous things that I really don't need out of stupidity. So it is stopping here! I hope you all don't mind, but I am going to be reviewing things I currently have and I will definitely start working on that nail polish series that I promised a couple months ago. Really the only time I am going to be buying things is if I need them or I happen to get a gift card, that's really it. I hope you all don't mind! <3

I definitely have a good post or two coming up about a few things that I have tried recently, one went back to the store the next day. It was that horrid on my skin! But that will be the next blog post! :) Stay tuned for that!

Another thing is I am going to try and do a Blog Sale, I am not exactly sure how to go about it, but I will figure it out! I have quite a bit that I don't use or have never touched or maybe used once or just swatched. Its all be sterilized, so that you won't have to worry about. When I figure out how exactly to go about it, I will definitely let you all know! :)

But that is it for now! I will see you lovelies in the next post!

Hugs,

Autumn
