OPI Cuckoo For This Color

Here is the first in my Polish series!

The first polish I am going to talk about is OPI's Cuckoo For This Color. These are $8.50 each! Well, at least where I got them, the are $8.50. You pretty much have to find a  Salon  near you that sells OPI.
Luckily for me, the Salon in my local Walmart has these and since Walmart is literally walking distance from me, they are easily available. Now how I got ahold of these was my Salon had them on Buy 1 Get 2 Free Clearance. Ive been eyeing these for quite some time now and just haven't bought them. When I saw there were 4 left for the Buy 1 get 2 Free I jumped on 3 of them, since the other was a duplicate.
Cuckoo For This Color is a dark pine green with shimmer of teal, green and silver flecks of micro-glitter.
After looking into it, this color is from the Swiss Collection that came out in 2010, so I am not sure why my Salon still had it, I guess cleaning out their back stock what polishes.

This color is extremely dark IN the bottle, while it is still dark ON your nails, its very pretty. You can clearly see that it is a dark pine green color. For this being one of my FIRST OPI polishes I am pleasently surprised and happy with it!
Although I didn't get much wear out of it, not even a day. As you can tell in the pictures, my nails are already chipped and I had JUST painted them, giving them enough time to dry before I took the pictures. Then again, my nails are kind of crap and thin anyways and NO nail polish stays very long, regardless of how well I prep them. They just don't stick. Ive even had acryllic nails fall off of me within a few days. LOL.

Anyways, my only beef about the polish is the brush. I actually think its kind of a crap brush. It leaves the nails looking a bit streaky on the first coat, but it goes away after you apply the second coat. It only takes about 2 coats to make this completely opaque. So it is pigmented.
Ive not used a top coat in any of the pictures by the way. :)

You can still find this nail polish on Amazon and I am sure you could find it on Ebay.

Have you tried this polish? What do you think of it?

Blog Series!

So, if you couldn't tell, I am doing a Clean Start by Dermalogica series! Im almost done with it sadly! .. Well kind of! Ive still got around 4 or 5 more left!
The next series I am going to be doing is nail polish brands! Im really excited to do it and I hope you all are too!!
Each brand gets 1 blog post, unless I don't have many of that brand, then each color I have will have its OWN polish and I will be doing those EVERY Thursday. So figure I am going to start out with OPI so I am going to have 4 posts. One on each color, unless you would rather I keep them in 1 post, which is okay with me. I thought it would be more fun to separate them. I do have 2 other OPI things, the Chip Skip and AVOPLEX replenishing oil. So, we will see about that.
I have 1 The Balm Hot Ticket Nail polish
7 ORLY and 1 ORLY basecoat (more than I thought)
2 Essie
(im counting now XD)
1 Revlon Colorstay
2 Revlon Scented Parfume
2 Rimmel London Lasting Finish
2 Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manacure
3 Sally Hansen Hard as Nails Extreme Wear
1 Sally Hansen Diamond Strength
28 China Glaze
6 Wet N Wld Wild Shine
9 Wet N Wild Fast dry
3 Sinful Colors
3 Sally Hansen Insta dry
3 sally Hansen Quick Color
3 Wet N Wild MegaLast

So as you can tell I have QUITE a lot of polish. Around 80 bottles! How crazy LOL. So I can do it by brand of my the different names (Megalast, wildshine, fast dry), that type of thing.
What is your opinions? Since I am writting these for you all :) What would YOU all like to see?
Do you think this is a good idea?! Let me know!

Clean Start by Dermalogica Wash Off

The Clean Start line is more geared towards teens who are acne prone. Now I am 21 years old and I first got the clean start kit, which you can buy at cleanstart.dermalogica.com and it is $35. Now that is a heafty price tag for skin care, even with all of them being travel sized. The reason I decided to look into the Clean start line was because of Kandee Johnson. I saw her talking about a couple of their products and I decided I would take the dive and try it. Originally I was supposed to get the Breakout Trio, which is the same price, but you get 3 full sized products, but the wrong one was ordered, which was okay. I am actually happy with the travel sized ones, because then I got to try them, so I knew how they would react on my skin.

What comes in the kit is welcome matte spf 15 / bedtime for breakouts / ready, set, scrub / wash off / all over clear. It also comes with a sample of brighten up spf15. Im glad that it came with the welcome matte, because I have oily skin and it would have suited me better! :)

Now, for the full sized products, these have a HEAFTY price tag, that I will not lie about. In all honestly, it kills me a little bit when I have to repurchase them. (I will get to the prices in a bit.) When I got the travel size, you would have thought that it would take me not that long to use it, but that little bitty bottle took me a couple months, which was pretty awesome, so I don't really mind spending that much money, because with the face wash, I use a little bit of it and I know that it will last me a long while! This product you can use on your face, back and chest. So its a multipurpose face wash! HOW awesome! :D
This is what Dermlogica's site says "This foaming wash clears up dead skin cells and extra oils to clean deep, banishing breakouts from your face, back… or wherever."

Now when I use the wash off , I don't really feel it foaming, but thats okay with me honestly, I don't need to feel the foaming action to know its working!!
So you can tell that I don't really mind shelling out the money for it, because I know it will last a while. The only reason there is a huge chunk of the face wash is gone from my bottle is because my cat knocked it down and the top came off and a bunch spilled out. Twas a sad day!

I have been using this for about the past 5-6 months. So I know I can do a proper review of it. ^_^

I honestly don't wash my face EVERY night. I know what you are thinking, omg ew, gross! Or what not, but my skin is so weird, if I wash it every day, it breaks out. So yeah, say what you wish. And my skin actually does not get as gross as you think it does when not washing. Anyways, thats away from my point. lol

This is a clear face wash, it does have a light scent that does not stay on your skin for very long. Well, it doesn't stay on your skin at all and you can't smell it, unless you actually go and smell it. Which I did, because I am me. Its clear and kind of thick, not thick like a gel though. It has a wonderful consistency and a little goes a lot way. It depends on how dirty my face feels, I could use the smallest amount that I could (dime size) or I use a little more (dime and a half) So not a lot at all! So you can already tell this will last a pretty long time for me! :D

You are supposed to use this face wash in the A.M. and P.M. . I chose when my face feels the dirtiest honestly. So I either use it in the morning or at night. If I wear makeup I use something else to wash my face. :) I really do love this product. When I use this I can feel my face being clean. It doesn't feel dirty or oily. Its soft and just.. its hard to explain just exactly what I mean. I really recommend this face wash honestly! There is just something about it that works wonderfully with my skin. Its also helped to heal some of my acne scarring from when I was a Sophomore in high school, its even helped reduce redness! Now it does not say that it is supposed to do it, but it honestly has helped! I just really love this product!

Now to the pricing. Its $20 for 6 fl oz or 180 mL. So yeah, it is pretty expensive, but for the amount you use, its worth it.
Dermalogica's site also says this "Salicylic Acid dives deep to help clear trapped oils and breakout-causing bacteria. Botanical extracts help regulate oil production. Orange Peel Oil revives, energizes, and refreshes.

Have you tried the wash off?! Let me know down in the comments! I would LOVE to hear your opinions on it!!

L'Oreal Infallible 24hr Eyeshadows

I wont lie, I heard maybe 1 or 2 things about these shadows. I personally did not do much research into these before I went and bought them. Why? you may be asking... Well, from the couple of posts or little cameos I saw in a video or two, I could already tell that I was going to be in love with these. So I went and picked up 2 on my first go.  There were only a few left at CVS went I first went, so I just picked up two.

I picked up Perpetual Purple and Bronzed Taupe.  Let me just say that I swatched them AS SOON as I got home and squealed  like a giddy little school girl! They are so pigmented that its not even funny. So, when I was at Walgreens the other day I noticed that these were buy 1 get 1 50% off, so you know I had to jump at that opportunity! I grabbed 2 more in Continuous Cocoa and Sultry Smoke. I didn't even wait to get home before I swatched them! I just did it right there in the car, I was literally THAT excited.

I have used all of these and I can genuinely guarantee that I love these shadows!

Now onto what I am sure you all want to know. (lol)

These retail for $7▪99 for 3.5 grams or 0.12 oz.
(That is actually a lot of shadow. A full size Urban Decay shadow is 1.4g or 0.05oz. I also have a Wet N Wild trio that is 3.5g.

So, if you figure, you are getting enough shadow in this one pot to fill a WnW trio!)

They have a hard plastic bottom that is clear, so that you can see what color it is, without having to take the lid off. The label is also colored to the product that is contained inside, just so you can get an idea of what it is, without flipping it. They also have a stopped that STAYS on top of the shadow to keep it compacted. Actually, just like the Giorgio Armani eyes to kill intense eye shadow. But that is $32▪00 and this is $7▪99. HUGE price difference.

(Giorgio Armani is a "luxury brand" owned by L'Oreal. Which doesn't surprise me, since these products are basically the same [i assume, since they look the same]. Just one has a hefty price tag, while the other doesnt.)

I have never encountered an eye shadow like this before. Its not a cream or a powder. Its like if a cream shadow and a powder shadow got together and made a baby. This would be of offspring of it! Its seriously a really amazing product.

Continuous Cocoa is a dark chocolaty brown with a subtle shimmer to it.

Perpetual Purple is a rich violet purple, slightly blue-based with a gorgeous amethyst shimmer to it.

Bronzed Taupe is a warm taupe that looks warmer on the eye than it does in the pot.

Sultry Smoke is a Dove Grey. A medium grey with a hint of blue. Its a matte color although, it is not completely matte, since it does have a slight hint of shimmer.

So, as you can tell, minus the purple, I got all neutrals. I know, I know, I have been doing colorful looks lately (that ive not shown). When I saw these, they just called to me and begged to come home with me! I would love to have ALL of these colors. In due time though!

But in the end, these shadows are creamy, pigmented, dries to a powder finish, but still very vibrant. You can build them up, or sheer them out if you wanted too. For me, these are easy to work with, although I did read a blog or two that said these are hard to work with.

Oh! I also wear a primer under these . I have too or it will instantly crease on me, just like any other shadow. I do have very oily lids, but I would recommend using a primer anyways. I use Urban Decay Primer Potion, but you can use whatever primer you have or prefer!

I also just want to state that these do vary in price. I have seen them range from $8▪50 to $9▪00, depending on what part of the US or Canada you live in. So be wary of that.

Have you tried any of these? Let me know!

My Favorite Mascaras!

So! Its that time of the month again!

... No you weirdos, not THAT THAT time, its BeautyWarriors time! I actually really look forward to the beautywarriors time of the month because I get to see what everyone's FAVORITE products or what they came up with for that month <3. I really do love it.

Anyways, this month is Favorite Mascaras. I have 2. Why 2? Because I can and unfortunately 1 is discontinued. Why am I talking about it then? because I think it was just repackaged, but when I went to check CVS, they had just started their cosmetics reset so they literally had NOTHING! Which was a bit depressing because I was there to get a couple things I needed. *sad face*

Anyways, so I have one drugstore and one high end mascara and I figure I will start with the drug store, since that is the one discontinued.

So my Drugstore favorite is the Rimmel London Glam'Eyes Lash Flirt Volume and Lift mascara.

I have the color Kohl Black. I typically buy black mascaras anyways unless they are the eye color enhancing ones, and that is rare. :)

Now I can't tell you what I payed for it because I got it wow, about 1 year ago and it was 75% off. It was put into my stash of mascaras then got used and I have been holding onto it just to do a video about it and now that I have the chance :D Woot! Anyways, I can not show you pictures of it on my lashes because its gone rancid.. well it went rancid a while ago. And I would rather not have an eye infection or my lashes fall off. (lol Over exaggeration about the lashes falling off)

But this mascara did EVERYTHING that I want a mascara to do. it kept a curl, even with my squinting like I always wind up doing. It was so black its not even funny. It gave me the lift and volume that I wish my lashes had WITHOUT mascara. Seriously this was my holy grail mascara. I was so sad when it went rancid on me. :( I am on a serious quest to find to find the match to this mascara from Rimmel. I WILL FIND IT!! >D And when I do, you all will be the first to know. :)

NOW! Onto my High End Mascara.

That lovely one is the Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes Mascara.
Have you tried this one? I got the full version of it from the Sephora Black Friday sale, but that is still unopened. The picture and the one I have used is the deluxe sample size. And I still love it! Even though I didn't get to use it as long as I would have liked, because it's a smaller version!
Now, I'm not exactly sure about the 424% what not. But I still love this mascara. It gave me super black lashes and some awesome volume!

I really wish this mascara wasn't so much, or I would crazy stock up on it, even though I have 1 full size and another deluxe sample that came with a palette.

This mascara however gave me the lift and volume that I want. It always gave me intensely BLACK lashes, which is something that I absolutely LOVE love LOVE!

Upcoming Videos/Posts

So, I have a new computer! And I figured, since this one basically does not sound like it is going to die when I turn it on (thank goodness, my other one had this HORRID high pitched squeal to it.) I can at least start to get motivated more to do more posts and videos. Since I will be able to concentrate on what I am doing!

Exciting!? ...maybe.. hahah

Anyways so I have a few upcoming videos and blog posts that I am going to do!

Coincidentally they will each coincide with each other! That's kinda how I like to do it anyways! I also like doing just blog reviews or something like that, to where I do not feel the need to make a video. So, I really just wanted to let you all to be on the lookout! =^_^=

So, the first upcoming video I am going to be doing is for the Beauty Warriors Youtube Channel .

If you do not know what Beauty Warriors is, then shame on you! Beauty Warriors was an idea thought up by Stephanie or Cookiefarrer on youtube and she got with myself and a few other lovely ladies on youtube and we all decided to create a collaboration-type channel, where each month we pick 1 thing and we all make a video about it! Unless, that product is not available where a person is located, then they can skip the month if they wish! Or if a person just wants to take a month off, they are also more than welcome to do it!

We always welcome comments and video responses from others! We just love watching it! As of right now, it is just Women, but we would LOVE to have a guy or two join! I mean, I really think it would be neat. We are also trying to get different races and nationalities too! We have a few from the US, then we even have Norway and The Netherlands. How awesome! Bahah.
So, it is really a neat channel and if you are not subscribed you definitely should be!

Oh! I forgot to tell you this months topic! Favorite Mascaras! So be on the look out!

http://beautywarriors.wordpress.com/

That is the blog :)

... After that long winded schmoo ^_^

The next video that I Plan on doing is a pink and brown eye look that I have been wearing literally this entire month so far! It's really pretty! I started using a pink bush but, I have other pinks I am going to try out!

So, yes, there will be another tutorial coming your way very soon!

Another video I have planned, well I have actually planned on doing since I started making YouTube videos is a nail polish collection video. Every time I film it, I feel it's too long or my camera isn't cooperating with me! So I am going to set aside a time on Saturday to film a few videos... Or maybe I will do it Friday! We will see. We will see.

I am also thinking of doing an updated storage idea video. Because it has changed ALOT. I might be getting another container. So we will be seeing what happens. :)

Those as of right now are what I am planning. I've got a few others but those I am not so sure about... Plus I can't remember what they are! I've got them written on a piece of paper so I would have them If I forgot.

Hah.

Anyways. Those are the video ideas that I have coming up very soon that will have adjacent blog posts attached to them :)

Do you have any ideas of blog posts or videos you would like to see? Let me know!
